Hi there... I went to the COD today after not checking in for almost three weeks. For the first two weeks of that I was completely off plan - and just got back on track on Monday. I was nervous, but also didn't care what it said, because I knew I was back on plan, and whatever it said - it was just a starting point. To my AMAZEMENT - I was down 1.8 from my last weigh-in - bringing my total to 5.8 down. I was SOOOOOO happy! I can't wait to see what I can do being back on track for a full week and beyond! I'll also be so thrilled when I get to that 10lb mark - it's just a milestone I want to reach - and something that's within sight!

Kristen - LOL.. big bag of salt.. you're too funny!! I want to give my MIL a big bag of soap.. but that's a whole other story..

Amy - A pound is a pound! You're doing awesome! I have a poop story, but I hesitate to share it since someone may be eating lunch while reading.. lol

Cassi - you're amazing staying on plan with all this cooking and tasting going on. I was going through my email today and found something inspirational that you had written back in January.. I saved it again. I needed it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Off to have some lunch...

Wendy - It's only this week I'm back in the game. The first few weeks were a challenge trying to figure this out. And Monday we are cooking our first whole meal... Roast chicken w/gravy, green beans almondine, parsley potatoes (or some kind of potato) and stuffed apples. Yum-o! I will figure out how to count what portion I am actually going to eat and at least I know I will have a good lunch that day.

By the way... what did I write? I may need it someday too.

Cassi--can I have DD in class???

Really--thanks again to you all for the kind words--this morning my ego and my a$$ were dragging but I feel much better now. Just got a call from my fourth grader's teacher (warning--mommy brag) and we have a state mandated test, too--well she had to take reading, math, and writing this year--tough year for a 4th grader--anyway, she not only passed all 3 but got "Commended" which means she scored considerably higher that the rest. Not sure what the cutoff is but usually you can only miss 1-2 questions and get commended--so I am just so proud of her right now. The kids will get told at the end of the day so i can't wait to see herafter school--bet I will get conned into a trip to TCBY--oh well--she is so worth it!

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, I LOVE my In-laws. I've always told DH if I ever got rid of him I was keeping his mother because I'd never find another MIL like her. Now my twin brothers wife? Thats a different story..UGH!!! There's not another one like her either, but for a totally completely different reason! LOL

Wooo hooo LeeAnn, made the day a lot better I'm sure!
I've had some experience with the politics of school jobs. I dont know the right people, not related to the right person. I was promised the next fulltime job 3 years ago when I took this one. Well so far I've been passed over twice. First time I was basically told I had the job then another girl interviewed for it at the last minute and guess what? Shes related to somebody and she got the job. Ohh but I was told if she hadnt applied for the job it would have been mine. I looked at him and said and this is supposed to make it all better??? Gee thanks!!! Next job that was posted? I didnt even get an interview, and know what? The woman that got it is...thats right...related to somebody!!! So, I give. My daughter is graduating and I'm leaving my job. I'd rather be unemployeed! I'm gonna give them all a bag of something besides soap and salt too! LOL

Katie Repo.. did you mean a big bag of chips? Candy? Flowers? or does it have anything to do with your Great Dane??

Thanks everyone.. did I mention today how much I LOVE all of you!!

I'm also going to add to my new Tshirt Line and make some up for the MIL's...She Took my Son, I'm not an Inlaw I'm the Outlaw, I am Mean, My DIL went shopping and all I got was a lousy bag of SALT!

Any my coinciding greeting card line:

Happy Mother's Day to my Monster In Law

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
He picked me
So too bad for you!

Okay I'm all done now.. got it off my cheset .. Kimphin I'm sure you'll have one to add.

Thank goodness for the new confidence.. Weight loss is a great boost to your self esteem.. and I've learned to replace the emotional eating.. mind you she did result in what we shall now refer to as the "Burger King Incident"..ssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh

LOL............we love you too, Kristen I think you will be happy with your decision. At the end of the day, you will have nothing to regret or feel bad about, you will get a small break from the kids, and you will get out of going to visit her.........it's a win, win, win.......and done with dignity XOXO
