Where did you hear it was listed as protein? I use lite cheese all the time and would LOVE not to give up my dairy for it! You are doing very well so far on the program

Nikki, my COD person told me that. It's listed under veg-protein on pg 8 of my red book. I think I'll use it as my 1/2 P on some days because it's really quite a lot of cheese.

The cheese IS listed as a vegetarian protein, but they will tell you not to "combine" your proteins that often. I don't know if all COD's are like this, or just mine, but they didn't like it when I would have chicken with beans (think enchilada) or meat and cheese (think sandwich). They said use a whole protein on one thing. Just a warning, but if you're COD doesn't say anything and you don't see any slow down in your losses, do what works for you. You will notice a bunch of advice on your menus from the COD at the beginning.

Libby: when you find out where, look in your book (if it's a franchise). I feel it helps. Also, restaurants put a lot of fat and salt into their food so do some lemon water so you're not up at your next WI. Good luck and they're are no substitutions, normally you would be on purple so they bumped you up to red!

Oh, I get it! Is red more food? They said I would go to purple when I hit 197.

Anyway, I have been pestering DH to find out where we are going. This is his buddy and wife but they are not great planners. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Red Lobster or Outbacks since they are in my book. If not, I'm going generic and asking for broiled meat without any sauces, etc. I will double up on the lemon water today though just in case.

This is a huge challenge for me because one of my weak spots in restraint at restaurants. I'd prefer not to be put to this test until I had some more time on LAWL but I don't have much of a choice - sigh... Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'd hate to be off plan on my first real day!

Red is 1/2 P and 1 S more.

I know exactly how you feel, I'm terrible in restaurants. My big test is Sunday, my boyfriend is taking me to Fridays for our anniversary and oh wow, my favorite food are there and I don't mean their salads lol. Good luck tonight and just keep thinking if the food you want would be worth it in the end.. you can do this!

Libby - I love Applebee's because they have the weight watchers menu that converts really well. If not, just stick w/broiled and ask them not to add salt to your food. Stay strong!

Cassi, could you please tell me what the cal/fat etc is for your rf string cheese. I'm having a trouble finding some, and maybe the #'s would help?
Thanks.

YEAH!!! I made it through the restaurant (a non-chain) and stayed OP!!! I am so proud of me. I might just be able to do this.

Got to say, not sure if I could have done it with all the added support and inspiration I get here. Thanks, everyone.

Speaking of Applebees, Cassi...DH took DD and me there the other night and I ordered their chicken sandwich that is on the WW menu and the waitress asked if I would like to try their new WW sandwich that is not on the menu yet. It's chicken on a wheat roll with tomato, lettuce and portabella mushrooms (which I love)...very, very yummy!

1/13

Breakfast: 4" pita, PB 1.5 Tbsp, Banana (1S, 1/2 P, 2Fr)
Snack: Lite
Lunch: Salad, 1 serving blueberries (1V, 1/2Fr)
Snack: lite, popcorn (1L, 1S)
Dinner: Chicken with salad and one more starch, possibly cheese (1P, 2V, 1S, 1D)
Evening: 1/2 Apple, 3tbsp peanut butter

We're eating dinner out, and I couldn't get the menu ahead of time, so my dinner/evening plan is loose. Worse coming to worse, I'll just order a salad with a chicken breast, but I've left room for a starch and dairy. If I don't need them I'll move that to my evening snack instead.

My COD warned me off bananas today, so I'll be sure to use more varied fruits now.
