Hi ladies can I join you? My name is Michelle and I have 75 lbs to lose. I have three kids, 13, 3, and 2. I count my calories and try to make good healthy food choices.
Amanda- A water challenge is great. I'm currently challenging myself to get 100 oz of water a day. How did you do on your goals today?
Sarah- How old are your 4 children?
Tracy- and congratulations on getting into ONEderland! I'm getting close to joining you there!
Michelle(shelleybelly)- and is it alright if we call you Shelley? Since there are 3 Michelles on here already! :-)
Chelle- How did your day go? Do you attend classes at night or during the day?
Today was a good day for me eating and exercise wise. I'm actually low in my calorie intake for the day, so I will get to have a little snack during Monday Night Football. I hope everyone else had a great day!
I am setting a mini goal of 30 although truthfully I want to lose 50. I am counting calories and journaling. Along exercise everyday. My highest weight has been 236. I am now 202. I am also a mother of 2 girls that are 4 and 6.
Hi ladies! I knew I should have checked the boards this morning but got busy trying to figure out my school schedule for registration and I forgot...I totally missed out on the water day. I say we continue it for a week and see who can drink the most water in 7 days. Anybody up for that???
Oh, and Michelle when the heck do you have time to drink all that water????? I would spend my day in the bathroom!!!!lol
I attend classes during the day and work nights--don't worry, I schedule myself classwise so that I have the day to sleep when I work the previous night. Next semester I registered for a pilates/yoga class that meets twice a week. I will have to exercise some at least! I am also trying to stop eating in the cafeteria at night when I work. I am not sure whether I am really hungry or just bored but there is only fried food available so that jumps up the calories.
So, tomorrow my goals are:
1. Check the board in the am
2. drink lots of water and try and knock Michelle out of 1st place lol
3. use my treadmill for 30 minutes for the first time in a year
4. clean house
Hello....was wondering if I might be able to join. This is new for me, was referred from a user of NutriDiary.com. I'm struggling, think I've been struggling my entire life. Have managed to gain the 20 lbs I had lost throughout this year ALL back, I keep falling from the wagon
Any event, am desperately seeking to find some happiness. I'm a mom of an 8 year old boy and have a pretty supportive husband (yes tells me I'm beautiful the way I am, but I don't find much/any beauty in me). I just turned 37 and even more depressed and worried that I'm not ever going to achieve my goal weight. I have 50 lbs I need to lose.
May I join your group?
Debbie
ps -- how do you get all those cute graphics and the weight tracker?
Good Morning Ladies!!!!
It is raining here and all I want to do is sleep, watch movies and eat. This is my cuddle up weather. It is also happening at the time in my dieting health program where I start to slip. I do really well for the first 20 days then I say one of this or that will not hurt or I don't have to excersize today. I need you ladies to remind me I can't eat a whole bag of chips or skip a day of excersizing.
Last night, I just wanted to not work out and I was so close to not doing it. Every other day I have been doing ab and arm work plus this week I have thrown in a 20 minute session on the NordicTrack. After the baby went to bed I was so close to just laying down myself but I prevailed and pulled the Nordic Track out and went to work plus I got the arm and ab workout in a toal of 1 hour. I just know I am going to half to be strong. I wish the weight would just magicaly disappear as it so magically appeared. But I also wished that I win Mega Millions and that didn't happen.
So todays goals:
Water
walking stairs at least 2x
track diet on fitday.com
extra Nordic Track session
cleaning house (Power was out yesterday)
making rolls for Thanksgiving dinner
I don't know if I told you ladies or not but another goal of mine is to start saving more money. So if anyone has any tips I would love to here them. I am on week 3 of not eating out at work.
Chelle- Good goals for the day! You can do it. With that much water, I do need to know where the bathroom is at all times!
Debbie- The cute graphics you get by clicking on them. There is box of them on the right side of the posting box. That is if you clicked on post reply and didn't use the quick post. The tickers you can find by clicking on someone elses to take you to the screen and then making your own. Then go to UserCP and past the code into your signature. When you've finished making your ticker it will tell you which code to use for this bb.
Amanda- getting your workout in, even though you didn't want to last night. Don't you feel so proud of yourself! I've found that if I get my workout clothes on then I know I will exercise! Do not eat chips, nobody can eat just one, ok maybe one BAG! I totally know what you mean about cuddle up weather, and it is hard to fight. We can do it though!
I thought it would be fun to make a group weightloss ticker, our challenge will be to collectively lose 30 pounds a month. So on your weigh in days post your gains or losses and I'll update the ticker. Start by posting your total lost or gained for November as of today.
My weight loss for November so far is -8lbs.
Have a great day everyone, the kids and I have rehearsal tonight so I won't be back on til very late or tomorrow morning.
Been, run, run, running to potty, ha. Course now I have to cut back my intake because work has this "great" assignment of us helping out some backlogged hotline, so what better way to assist than put people that have no clue about the program on the program hotline
Just so I understand, we're logging every 8 oz correct? I have one of those big plastic coke cups with the bendy straw, believe it's a 32 oz cup. Got one and a quarter in thus far, so guess I'm up to 40 oz today.
Also, thanks for the info on the graphics and weight line, haven't had a chance to work with it yet. See the smilies though
sarah 3 (4pm)
need to drink more...so I am going to have an additionall one just after I sent this message off!
Having a hard time eating the way I would like to. To much, to sweet, to unstructured. Any suggestions?
Sarah- Have you tried putting fresh lemon or lime in the water? I have to drink mine out of a sports top bottle, if I try to sip it from a glass I never get enough in. What about hot tea in the evenings? That counts as your water!
Well, goal number 1 is outta the way! WHOOO- HOOOOO!!! I am off to a great start! Now I just have to:
2. drink lots of water and try and knock Michelle out of 1st place lol
3. use my treadmill for 30 minutes for the first time in a year
4. clean house
Amanda know how hard it is to do anything but stay in bed and watch movies all day when the weather is rainy. Here in NM we have almost no days like that but when we do, I find it super hard to even get out of bed! You know you can get up,exercise and eat some popcorn (minus the tons of butter) while watching movies and snuggling... sounds like a good time to me! BACK AWAY FROM THE CHIPS!!!
Michelle good suggestions for the water... the thing that I do is use the Crystal Lite on-the-go packages. Actually I use the walmart brand, Orange Sunrise and it is really yummy. I put half a package in a 20 oz bottle of water and drink them really cold
Alright everyone, I must start my day! I will check back later oh and....
I don't sip the water either I gulp 8 oz at a time. I also love tea so I get alot of my water in that way but I haven't been counting it. Yeah, I am getting more than I thought. I also love seltzer water.
I have also found that packing my lunch while saving me money has also made me stay to my diet. I am strongest in the mornings so if I plan what I am eating for the day I tend to stick to it. At home, I have made sure to have healthy snacks on hand and have given up buying my husband his favorites. If he wants them he can get them himself. He has a very physical job so he can basicaly eat anything. Also, not buying extra snacks has helped me stay on budget. I don't even go down the chip aisle.
Ok, survived the phone duty Ate some lunch and nibbling on some pretzels, well almost gone. As is #11 glass of water!! Since I have an hour and half left, guess I'll go get a little more. The running has slowed down some.
This is a horrible time trying to get back on board, especially with Thanksgiving being in two days and all that stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, and then my mom said she's making in addition to the normal pumpkin pies but some hot fudge sundae ice cream dessert. Oh yeah, I can see the scales now
Food seems to be the one thing I find happiness in. While eating everything is great, course the one thing that makes me happy is the very thing that makes me so sad.
