One of my favorites for cauliflower is to rice it and sautee it with carrots and an egg and a little coconut aminos. I get a ton of veggies but dont feel like I'm eating mostly veggies.

I don't know what "IP" is....I started the Dukan diet last week. I do need some company - some accountability - so is it okay to just jump in and start posting?

This program that we are following is the Ideal Protein diet. However, there are a lot of us that do the alternatives. If you read the beginning post of what Ideal Protein or search it on the internet it will explain what the diet is. I am on the alternatives. Same diet just on my own and not with a clinic and wayyyyyy cheaper! Here's to us keeeeeeppppp going !

Default Monday!

Make it a lasting impression on your life! Eat well and drink lots of water. It is almost flip-flop weather. Don't you want to show off those fabulous toes? I try not to let the body get in the way of enjoying myself. Society has beaten up women for hundreds of year on how we are supposed to look like and dress, and how our body types are supposed to be! So dang it.... let's stop and just eat good, exercise and enjoy who we are. Get in touch with the parts of us that have an eating issue. We want the quick fix, how about taking care of the inside, our minds, and our heart issues. Life is short and if we keep waking up every day and wondering what we will eat and wear, our life will be controlled by that! So get a good pedicure and show off your toes! Have a good day peeps...

Thank you, Skinnygirl, I am going to google the "Ideal Protein" diet, for sure.

I had a challenging weekend due to having to take care of my laid-up teenage son who had surgery to remove wisdom teeth on Friday. So, no workout Friday, Saturday or Sunday and without working out, i get REALLY miserable.

I will workout after work today (Monday), so that stuff should get back on track.

I will hop on the scale tonight to see what is what. For me, today is an all-protein day, so that part is not the most enjoyable, for me. But it also means tomorrow is a protein with veggie day, and that DOES make me happy.

Yesterday was too stressful of a day. Even with my cardio workout after work, I just only slept 3 hours last night. Sigh.

I thought I would have to miss today's lifting workout - too tired. No zzzzzzzzzzzzz. But, I went to the gym, even just for a jacuzzi. Then I ran into a couple of friends and I did a medium-heavy lifting session anyway.

I am SUPER sore now. And SUPER tired! I am working so can't have an afternoon nap. Darn.

And, I don't even have the time to put "veggies" together, so I am doing another PP day - but will make sure I get 4- or 5- servings of veggies just with my supper. I NEED MY VEGGIES!!

I hope it isn't the protein that is messing with my sleep? That can't be right...

Good for you and the gym. I am just getting back and following a great routine. I take melatonin. It is a natural aid. Its what our body makes and as we get older we lose it... well for me. But I know men and women that are younger use it. Read about it. I take 3 milligrams woo hooo

Yes, melatonin is something I do use from time-to-time. ... I am also tapering down from HRT, and expect that is likely interrupting my sleep, too. So, last night, I put on more estrogel and I did sleep 7 hours.

A good night's sleep always changes the world.

Today, I am going to get to the gym after work. I will even step on the scale, today, to make sure I am hovering where I think I am this week.

Sigh. Last night was only three hours sleep. I am exercising. I am taking my vitamins. I have a dark, cool bedroom. I don't have any tv's in there. Sheesh....what the heck is going on?

Default Always come back!

One thing good about this diet is you can always come back if you put on a few pounds... do phase 1 for a couple weeks and slowly come off properly. I always will have packets of something of the Alternatives and have them on hand. HOpe you all are staying on track! talk soon

I am in the process of moving and packed all my seasonings..lol! I don't like moving, but, this time it is going to be life-changing. We are complete empty nesters! Our last child moved out 2 years ago. However, I have had a parent living with me and hb. so now it is just us... after 25 years of having a house full. I am excited and a tiny bit sad. I will power down on my diet next week when we are settled... How ya'll doing?
