Well this is a FINE how do you do...I hate that my first post is a panic-stricken question, but here we go....I am day one of week four and just cheated! Two pieces of plain pizza and a LOT of soda water. I'm not sure if I should have my snack, now, before bed, or just go to bed and start from scratch tomorrow? If anyone is up and bored and cares to answer...go for it!

I've been lurking for AGES and y'all have been a huge assist pre-diet, and the past three weeks!

Happy holidays to all!

*ETA* I'm going to have my crispy cereal bedtime snack - it seems like getting in my third packet of the day, is probably my best bet, even though it is more calories and such, protein seems to be the name of the game! I promise my second ever post will not be so desperate! G'night!

Lynn It happens! Trust me- yes, always make sure that you get your third packet. That may just be a marketing ploy, but-better safe than sorry- Okay-TODAY IS A NEW DAY!!! Start fresh, but now keep focused. If it were me, I would skip restricteds for a couple of days-just my opinion. Drink a TON of water today - and not carbonated-straight water, if you need to, add a Mangosteen packet. I would stay away from Mio or Crystal Light if you normally do them. I wouldn't add any additional uncalled for carbs. Good luck and we are here for you!!!

Destony! Thank you for the reply! I did a lot of forum/thread searching last night and saw a lot of chat about post-cheat "bootcamp" - non-restricteds for a few days. Sounds like a plan! And regular water water water! I enjoy your posts and guidance and SPIRIT!

Thank you~It's been a long journey for me, but in retrospect, not too bad. As the weight has come off, the feeling when people compliment me- oh gosh, it's a great feeling! More importantly, as I close in on my goal...SO worth it-how much better I feel, not just how I look and the clothes and the superficial stuff- but the fact I don't huff and puff when I try to tie my shoes, the energy, not hating looking at myself in the mirror, trying new things and the inspiration I get from others from these forums. Beth, Blue, HIS, Amber, Lianne, Frawnie and so many others
Ps- The water is key and I would also (other than the allotment required) not add any additional salt to anything.

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! I just read through every single post in this thread in preparation for my reboot. I'm working through the Beck Diet Solution and I'm on Day 6--meet with your diet coach. Since I'm doing this with alternatives (we just bought another house--2 houses for us now--we can't quite afford for me to go to a clinic and meet with a coach) I don't have a coach. I'm hoping to rely on you all in the beginning! I start officially Jan 2, day 15 of the diet solution. I hope everyone that celebrates has a very Merry Christmas!

Default Starting again in on Jan 4

I've been spending the last few weeks reading a tons of threads to get ready to restart IP on 1/4 (when my husband goes back to work and my son is back in school). I lost 45 pounds in 2013 on IP with a coach/clinic. I gained it all back and then some in 2015 so now it's time to get serious again. I'm going to try to do it on my own this time with alternative products. I look forward to being a part of this group and seeing some of the same success that you all have seen! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I spent a few days scanning and reading through all the pages in the IP forum. I feel like I have a great grasp on the task ahead as I mold myself into a new lifestyle. Today was day 1 for me. I struggled at the amount of food that I had to eat. Normally I don't eat very much(just all c$#p). Here's to pushing through..perhaps it will get easier?

I'm a newbie, here: I introduced myself & no responses!! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm not a ghost: maybe no one liked my introduction, as it is overlooked. I suppose there would be fewer people here @ this 4um, if everyone was overlooked. I've made abt 10/11 posts so far & still, nothing. Could I of forgotten to put on my deodorant, too many computer screens have scratch & sniff on them? L.O.L.

Hiya Blessed! Take heart! This is the busiest season for most people and sometimes the social networks get a bit quiet as we muddle through our 'real' lives. It may depend on where you have posted... as this is kind of a newbie thread and lots of people decide NOT to start their diets until after all the hullabaloo foodfest. I will troll back in the threads & see what I can find out. I tend to post mostly in the maintainer threads and the Oct 2013 gals thread since they are my 'homies.' It doesn't hurt to look around and check out the other threads here to see if you click with a particular group too.
Keep up the good work - you will be at goal before you know it! Keep posting and don't give up.

Hi Blessed - First of all - welcome! and sorry to hear you feel you've been ignored.
Someone here is usually quick to answer when someone posts,
so I checked your other posts to see if I cold answer any questions.
I noticed that your postings are on many different forums here on 3FC. Are you following the Ideal Protein Diet or just dieting in general.
Just FYI, On this particular forum (Ideal protein Diet), we are all following IP, and most of us here don't check in on the other forums very much.

Welcome, Blessed2BeeAlive! Sorry, this forum is not as welcoming as some others, but has really valuable information for IP. I'm not here much myself, but am in a reboot after losing about 110 pounds on IP. Gained some back, so working on it again.

I wanted to mention that when I went to my weigh in Saturday (after Christmas and I lost 3.6 pounds!) I got the new chocolatey caramel mug cake. I just got one envelope to try it out. I just made it for lunch and it was pretty yummy! My coach says it is unrestricted and it is filling, so I will probably buy it. I usually make the muffins that uses dark chocolate pudding and chocolate chip pancakes, but this would be fine for me to take to work for lunch. The first time I was on IP I lived on the dark chocolate pudding, but this time I seem to want the muffins/cake. Whatever works, right?

The only real problem I have had over the holidays is maybe eating a bit less lean meat. I had beef, brussel sprouts and green beans at the big family dinner. Thankfully I am not at all tempted by any of the carbs. The neighbors came over with a a big tin of Christmas cookies yesterday.

Liana,

Is that Lucy in your Siggy (signature)? My mother loved to watch her. I made a Siggy, with her & my mothers name, my sister didn't like it: However I thought it was great, because my mother loved watching her so much.

4sure: Hard to start up a diet, or much else during this time of year, I suppose it was the wrong timing to join, however have to join sometime, & thought I would while I was thinking abt it.

I'm leaning towards a Raw Vegan diet/Anti-Inflammatory & GF & DF. GF & DF always, as I have sensitivities & usually when I am out & abt., shopping/running errands. Raw Vegan diet/Anti-Inflammatory, when I'm @ home & have more control of what I eat. I have food allergy issues, so my desire is to eat to be healthy & loosing weight is ideal too, as I have less problems when I eliminate the excess baggage.

My dog however is a picky eater, & she is pictured as my avatar.

Thx4UR reply!!

I'm Raw Vegan diet/Anti-Inflammatory & GF & DF. I was on a GF & DF diet prior & only lost 20 lbs & it appears the scale is telling me, that I've gained it all back, though my fingers somehow remained the same size. I do not know much abt the ideal protien diet, is that like a GF & DF: Low carb diet?

I suppose finding my diet here, would be near to impossible. Maybe I should find out if you have a general diet board here? I've looked a round a bit & have yet to look around more, just been trying to post to the new posts.

Good4u. I too am getting back into the swing of things. UR dessert sounds wonderful, is there a recipe for it somewhere?

I find I can ignore the wrong foods: though harder during the holidays. Egg Nog & Pumpkin pie is my favorites during the holiday season.
