The chocolate milkshake Quest powder is heavenly. It bakes up a treat, too, Lizzy. I'm sure you'll love it.

Saw the dietician today at the Bod Pod testing session. Because the amount of exercise I'm doing has resulted in a very small muscle/lean tissue loss she actually suggested adding peanut butter (or PB2) to the protein packet immediately before and the one after exercise to slow the digestion of the proteins when they are mixed with fats. Interesting principle - as she's a bodybuilder who went from 49% body fat to 22, I'm going to give it a shot and see how it works out. If I gain or fail to lose over 2 weeks then I will know for sure.

I can't see that PB2 would be harmful in small quantities, it's around the same value as some of my higher complex carb veggies.

Tried a Quest white chocolate raspberry bar this morning (shared with hubby) and it was so yummy I regretted sharing!

Thanks for the info. I've seen people say they bake with it? I am definitely a person who needs to follow recipes(not creative on my own!) So are there recipes for using the powder to bake?

Here is a link to the Quest site recipes - not IP friendly in most cases, but I think you can take a serving of Quest Protein Powder (e.g., the chocolate shake that Briael referred to), and use it in place of the IP Packet to make muffins or cookies per the recipes you can find here in 3FC IP -- see the threads that Lisa has provided in the first posting of the Daily Chat thread.

Are Premier Protein chocolate shakes from costco acceptable as a replacement for IP ready to use chocolate shake or does it become restricted because of the higher calories.

Calorie wise it would be considered restricted although everything else about it fits in with unrestricted. I drink them fairly often and have used them even if I am also having another restricted item and have had no slowing with my weight loss, but it may affect people differently and I don't do that consistently.

I tried the Quest PB powder and I like it a lot. I blend it with water and ice cubes then drizzle a little WF chocolate syrup on top. This tastes delicious to me and really fills me up. It satisfies both PB and ice cream cravings for me. I just ordered all the other flavors. Recently received an order of every flavor of chip and new bar flavors. It will take me a while to work through these (some of the bars will be saved for when I'm in maintenance) but it is fun to have all these flavors at hand for cravings!

Whoa! I should not have googled this lol

Something tells me this would make fantastic pb cookies - just drinking it sounds amazing. 1/2 a scoop of this, 1/2 and ip chocolate drink and some water...

My IP experience seems to have transitioned into a IP/Quest Lifestyle! I now use the Quest powder for shakes or pancakes, Quest Bars & Quest Chips...

I also stick with the lower fat/cal...more naturally sweetened bars. I love to slowly eat one while sipping a cup of coffee.

I am so thankful for Quest! I have been ordering from their site...but I just became a GNC member...I'm hoping that will save me some $$ next time I buy.

I also keep Carbadvantage RTD on hand...I usually have one in my purse in case I'm out and feel weak.

Becky - I have not had a good experience with buying Quest bars at GNC. They seem to be stale and hard.

Some others have mentioned that one of the threads here as well, a while back. Not sure what the issue is - they are not past the date on the package. I had to microwave mine for 10 seconds or so to soften them up.

Just a heads up - you may not want to buy a large quantity through GNC at first.

The one time I tried Quest products it was at the Vitamin Shoppe and they were exactly as you say, stale and hard. I really wonder this happens? I was looking forward to them because 1) they are all gluten free 2) people RAVE about Quest products. Maybe I should try placing an order through Quest.

Oh yes! I posted a while back that I was addicted to the peanut butter cookies I was making.

I have bought single Quest bars at GNC to try them before ordering a box and so far they have been fine. I haven't ordered directly from Quest yet but should check into it. I've ordered the bars from Amazon since the price has been similar to what I've seen on other sites and shipping is free. Thanks for the reviews on the powders. I think I may try them.

I am confused, how does one make PB cookies from the powders? It sounds delish but I am afraid I would totally mess it up. Is there a link to a recipie for this?
