WTG Andi!!

I'm a little worried about Thanksgiving - we always go to my brother's and turkey day is usually dinner for 40-50! Carbs everywhere. I don't want to make a big deal, but I'm thinking about calling my sis-in-law and asking if I can have a little space in a fridge somewhere for salad/veggies, bring plenty of IP foods, and muddle through.

The holidays are always tough. Still I would rather stay OP than gain a quick 5 pounds.

Default 9th WI...

Today was my 9th WI and I'm now down 34.5 lbs. This is so exciting. My coach also gave me a gift card today from her and the owner of the salon where my IP is located. It was to congratulate me on being their most successful client yet. It is for a facial and a 30 minute massage. I was shocked, it brought tears to my eyes. She said I've been working so hard at this program and it's time to have a little reward of relaxation. Wow! This was so totally unexpected. Yesterday I went for my monthly check-up (because of being on IP) at my doctor's office and on his scale I was down 36.5 lbs. My BP was 120/80. And what's more, I haven't had a bout of acid reflux once and my IBS has all but disappeared. I'm knocking on wood right now, just to be safe..lol.

Congrats to all of you with your losses and achievements so far this week. We're all doing a tremendous job on this journey

Andi

Congrats Andi on your loss. That's a nice amount to be rid of, and how lovely of your IP team to reward you with something that doesn't break the diet. How thoughtful.

Talking hard to imagine

over 100 to lose here too. Have lost 43 lbs in the first 10 weeks. I am encouraged but still feel like the goal is a long, long way away and have trouble imagining myself slim. It has been so, so long! Hang in there everybody!

We all struggle with body image.... 50 lbs ago I didn't think I looked bad....now I look back and holy moly! Keep doing what your doing....

Andi- woo Hoo.....nice gift. That's awsome!

I finally officially hit my 50 on the scale this week, but the last 3 weeks have been hard....wish my body would just let it go! I am consistently down inches so I know IP is working.....just get me out of the 230's already lol!

Congrats Sue, milestone amount there. I hear you on the impatience. I look at the scale and think "Darn, you could've gone down just 1 more lb this week!".

I think body image is one of those things that we just can't wrap our heads around. I know I'm smaller - the tape measure says so, but I don't see it when I look in the mirror, and my workout clothes are loose but not falling off me (damn those big hips!) so I just don't see the changes.

Still, we'll keep going and see where we end up. Onward and downward, Ladies!

WI this afternoon.... Different time than normal, but I have a hair appointment that I desperately need to cover the gray's. Lol.

Fingers crossed that 1. The scale moves this week & 2. There is a 220's number and I have kicked the 230's to the curb I so want that number to say 22? Lol.

How are all the 100+ people doing? I am also prepping for thanksgiving dinner for 18 people here. I still plan on making all their holiday favorites as my son asked me a few days ago if everyone at the holiday needed to eat "on plan" lol... I told him all his fattening favorites would be made, but an addition will be roasted cauliflower for me lol.... I am also going to roast some Brussels sprouts and carrots for the guests... In addition I will make my usual 2 stuffings and candied yams but will not be eating them. I actually think. Thanksgiving will be easy for me. We will eat our big meal at 3 so my afternoon smack will become dessert.....ip chocolate pudding .... I may even put it in a bowl instead of eating right out if the container.....fancy ain't I

Good Luck today! I know that I have posted that 3 different times but I'm hoping that the extra good lucks will help you see that 22 number!!!

I'm doing great. Not on the board as much as I should be but trying to fix that. Also, I have cut back on the coffee finally. I wasn't drinking ANY when I started IP but when the weather turned colder and I had a couple of "burning the candle at both ends" type of nights, I started getting coffee. It quickly turned into a daily habit and although I drink it black I wasn't drinking enough water to compensate.

Now, I have limited it to 1 a week at most. I bought some celestial seasonings for when I'm craving a hot beverage and will only get the coffee on my late night/early mornings type of days.

I plan to stay OP for Thanksgiving using the veggie puree from LizRR to use as gravy, having 8 ounces of turkey, cauliflower mash, broccoli, and LizRRs sweet fauxtato pie. To me, that would be satisfying and I will be happier knowing that I didn't set myself back by indulging in the unhealthy foods at the table. I'm exercising my choice muscle

I hope you make it to the 220s!

Since we are buying a new house (closing in mid-December), we are staying home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas (and we don't live near family). Knowing I'll be home, with just the folks who love me best and understand how I eat, has made me feel very relaxed about holiday eating. Although I'll be preparing our normal Thanksgiving dinner for my family, I plan on eating turkey and Brussels sprouts, and having a very special Quest bar that day. I am so excited about the Brussels sprouts! I haven't eaten them in a while, in order to make it even more special on Thanksgiving. I am slightly nervous about all the food prep and the leftovers, but I've been doing great since January and I don't expect this to derail me (especially when I am so close to my goal!).

Woo hoo! Got to 50 down today...51.2 gone, to be exact, in 120 days!

Next stop... Onederland by New year's.

Traveling for thanksgiving, but staying in a hotel with a fridge and spending most of our time at my sister's. My coach says not to worry about a little stuffing or potato on Thanksgiving, but I am wary about a bite of mashed potato turning into a long weekend of off-program eating. So i am packing my IP food and my wf cranberry sauce and planning to stay OP.

Your coach told you not to worry about a bite of mashed potato or stuffing? Mine encouraged me to stay OP and told me to have a plan. I am too afraid to go off plan. For me I know it would it would be a very slippery slope and I am too afraid that I wouldn't be able to recover!! We are going to visit my parents in Florida for Thanksgiving and I LOVE my moms stuffing, my coach suggested I take some home and freeze it to eat when I am at goal. I think that is a great idea.
