Yeah good for you.....

Back from California. another 5 day vacation with a wedding thrown in for good measure and on plan.... only 2 issues I had, 1 at the wedding the only salad they had was ceaser already dressed....I ate it because I was not sure if more veggies were to follow and after passing on all the appetizers, I was starving. Turns out roasted veggies were served with dinner so I had a bunch of them.... 2nd was one night my salad came out with bacon in it, it was hidden away at the bottom so I didn't realize at first, once I had a bite it was too delish to give up, lol... So not a lot of bacon but what a yummy treat!

Anyway back to 100% today. Off to the grocery store to get some fresh foods into the house.

Welcome Karrindell! Looks like you and I have about the same amount to lose. I wanna lose about 120 lbs but might just go to 130 lbs, depending on how I feel. I just had my 6th weigh in today and I'm down 26 lbs. Although my 6th week isn't over till Friday. You'll love this group. So many truly inspiring ladies here to help you along your journey.

yeah Andi. Great Job

Vacation WI in 3 hours! Let's see if I lost on this vacation too. Lol. No travel for me now till after the holidays. I have another wedding to attend in January. Wonder if the dress I just bought for this wedding will still fit?

When I first started IP my intent was to lose 100. That would put me at 180 ish where I think I'll be comfortable.....but as it goes on and I am losing consistently I am thinking I may change that. Anyone else feel this way? I think I was so sacred and hung up on that number in the beginning that I felt 100 was all I could handle, now I feel different!

Sgrealtor1 - I totally understand what you're saying on the goal weight. When I started I used 150 because I just couldn't imagine weighing that little and it was 107 pounds lower than when I started. I just couldn't even fathom losing that much.

When I got closer it was a lot easier to start thinking about where I would finally end up. But I left my ticker goal at 150 just to remind myself of how far I've come and what I never want to go back to.

I wouldn't get too hung up on an exact number - you'll know when you are at a good weight and ready to phase off. And you've done so great so far!

Yes, that is so funny that you just mentioned this. Just yesterday I was telling my husband that my original goal was to lose 120 lbs to get down to 150. Now with these consistent losses I'm thinking I might just go down to 140 lbs. Depending on how I feel at that time of course. The last time I can remember even being close to that was on my wedding day, 27 years ago. I weighed 133 lbs that day. I too would never have imagined this..but now my whole mind set is readjusting. Doesn't it feel wonderful?

I had to stop about 15 lbs above my desired goal weight due to medical issues (thryoid). AND a very frustrating 5 lbs from 100-lb loss.
My recommendation is the same as Ruth Anns. Just keep on keeping on and try not to project into the future. You'll know when it is time to phase off.

I was consistently losing 15/month, then 10/month, then 8/month, then 5/month. Then I had a major stall. Others seemed to sail thru with more consistent losses. We're all so different and just need to pay attention to our individual experience.

I'm on day 7 of Phase 1. I have lost 9.6lbs, and having been following my Ketosis on the test strips. The fiance came home last night with chinese food and was giving the wrong thing. In order to make the white rice and meats/veggies more edible for him I doctored it up with soy, hoisin, chili garlic sauce and honey. Took about 3 bites of it as I re-fried it for him to make the flavors better. Today I tested my ketosis and I am off. Oh My God- I cannot beleive all the hard work I did to get on ketosis was thrown off from three bites of rice. NEVER AGAIN. What an eye opener to say the least. My coach gives me the whole "dont cheat...yadda yadda yadda" I WISH she explained the process to me so I understood why its so bad.

Feeling bummed today.

Please remember that ketostix are not necessarily accurate. If your body is using the ketones for physical activities or you are drinking more than 64oz water you may not register as being in ketosis, even though you still are.

I have NONE of the ketosis symptoms: I'm not cold, I don't have keto breath, after the first 2 weeks I no longer had the metallic taste, my pee no longer smells, but I am still in ketosis because the weight is still coming off.

Even if you did knock yourself out of ketosis, you've picked it up quickly and can fix it. Please don't beat yourself up about it, it's an understandable mistake to make and now you know about it, you won't fall into the trap again.

Stay positive!

Thanks Ruthann.... I still have time but it's amazing how the mind works sometimes, like you got this now!

I have never once checked to see if I was in ketosis, and I have consistently lost. Don't get caught up in that, just keep plugging forward. On my recent trip I had to make some things work and guess what, they did....having ceaser salad because it was all that was available did not end my weight loss. Theses obsticles may slow us down, but get your mind back into the game quickly and you will be fine.

So vacation WI I was down 3.5 ( that was with ceaser salad @ the wedding and the found bacon lurking in one of my dinner salads lol). So bottom line I was not purposefully off IP, but circumstantialy lol
