A good way of doing the egg thing, Briael, is to buy a little carton of egg whites and a dozen eggs, then you aren't wasting the yolks - and quite often the carton of whites goes on sale (at least here). They last for quite a long time too. That's how I did it in P1-3.
Liana
Thanks for the tip. Guess I'll be shopping for egg whites tomorrow then!

Eggs (and saturated fat in maintenance) are things we don't have to fear, as once thought. Another thing to keep close eye on, however, is Omega 6 fats from vegetable oils. These cause an inflammatory response in the body (as do too many processed grains). And the medical community has found a much more clear heart disease correlation with inflammatory markers than with cholesterol.
RE: eating 8oz or even 6 oz meat.
When I started IP, a dinner portion was 6-7 oz. If you need to split your dinner portion into two four oz portions, go ahead. Just know this doesn't cut back on the amount of packets you have daily. But there are certainly packets that are less filling than others.
Thank you for the informative update, much appreciated. Lost my Dad quite a while ago, so I never bothered to check for more recent information. Appreciate you correcting me - especially as DH *loves* hard-boiled eggs as a snack.

Very nice indeed! The kind of christmas prezzie I'd like to find in my stocking, but won't.
Question of the week for the 100lb+ loss club - what has your monthly average loss been?
Since yesterday was the last day of my 4th week..I'm down 19.3 lbs. Was so hoping to see a 20 lb loss before the end of my first month, but I am so not complaining
Question of the week for the 100lb+ loss club - what has your monthly average loss been?
I am averaging about 10 per month. A very happy pace for me and I am down to the point where some milestones in my weight journey have been. Next milestone is 230 which is the weight I was when I had my son (16 years ago).
Yay! I'm so excited, I finally see that 20 lb mark. As of this morning I'm down 20.1 lbs. Was hoping to see it yesterday, which would have been the end of my 4th week OP..but I'll take the 4 weeks and 1 day I won't hold my expectations so high for the rest of these 5 months before we cruise though. But I am hoping to get off at least 2 lbs per week till we do. And if I can achieve that then I'll be down approx 70 lbs by the cruise. That will make me feel (and look) so much better than I do now. It's just going to be so nice to be able to sit on the plane and not have to ask for an extended seat belt. Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadian friends on here.
Yay Andi! Don't you just hate that it falls a single freaking day after weigh in? Happens to me every week, too. That fraction of a pound off a nice round number drives me crazy.
Hubby laughs at the way I rant at the scale on weigh in day. Tells me to be patient and that it'll all work out in the end.

Thanx Amanda. And it sounds like you have a supportive hubby too. That's wonderful.

Wow Theresa, love your pictures. Great job on 91lbs, that's awesome, and welcome back to IP after your break.

Ahh Onderland that magical place where I long to be! Your photos are awsome! One day I will do that too...LOL My clinic asked for a before photo so there's that...I never want to see that again. I had 82 to lose to see Onderland...1/2 there...
Good Morning all you lovely ladies. I'm so excited, I got on the scales this morning and it said 250 lbs..right on the nose. So today marks exactly 100 lbs till goal. So 1 lb more for me and I won't really be part of this "+100 lbs till Goal" group. I hope none of you mind if I stick around though..

Yay! It is great to be under 100 pounds to go. Many of us in this thread started our IP journey with over 100 pounds to lose but have less than that to lose now. You still belong! We'll hang out here until we have ZERO left to go...and then even after that we can give advice and support to others.
