Day 20, and I've lost 10 pounds! So happy! Feeling well! Now.....why am I feeling "hungry" or like I want food today?????? Staying in the ZONE. Will go to bed.
I have been lurking on the IP forums for a few weeks. I start the IP program on December 29. I am really looking forward to it. I am excited to see people who are my height (5 feet) and weight range (haven't weighed myself in a long time, pretty scared, but I'm over 200 lbs) on this thread. I will be posting a LOT when I start. Good luck, everyone! And Happy Holidays

Congrats on the great progress! Somedays are just hungry days - I never figured out a pattern. You have the right idea though - go to bed or, if it's not bedtime yet, get busy cleaning or organizing something. My house got clean a lot my first few weeks on IP!

Welcome! Starting out with the plan to be 100% is the way to go on IP! Looking forward to following your progress.
Ruth Ann, I am so impressed with your progress. It inspires me. It is very exciting to see people in the maintenance phase actively posting etc. It makes me feel like this is a doable plan. I'll be following your posts
Well, thank you! IP is definitely a doable plan! Not always easy but really worth it.
This board helped me so much from the very beginning so I think it's important to give some of that back - I love everyone's enthusiasm and generosity in sharing what they know. It makes for a great community.

I agree as well!! It is so helpful when the maintainers continue to post. Thanks so much
Hello and happy Monday to you all! I am happy to report that I am 1 week into my reboot and down 5.5 pounds. I must say it is like riding a bicycle getting back into the program, I have had no issues yet with hunger which has been a good thing. The only issue I have encountered is they no longer sell my favorite vegetable jicama in the city which sucks. Now I am trying to get ready for our Christmas dinner, I bought a boneless turkey and am thinking mashed turnip but wondered if any of you guys had any suggestions for other sides?
No jicima? That must be an evil plot to derail you, yes?
My go to sides were always veggie trays with mockamole or cauliflower hummus. Roasted brussells sprouts or a big green salad. Sorry I can't give you any more creative ideas.

Awesome job!!! I haven't been eating jicama as much as the first time, my supermarket doesn't have it all the time
I have become addicted to roasted cauliflower and roasted radishes (if you season them like Roasted Red potatoes they work as a substitute!), and if you boil up or roast some rutabaga that can be mashed as a "potato" side dish too - flavor it with the Walden Farms pancake syrup and it's as good as mashed sweet potato! My Thanksgiving dinner consisted of cauliflower rice, roasted radishes and roasted broccoli, and I made LizRR's Sweet Fauxtato Pie out of rutabaga for dessert.

The radishes sound yummy - thanks for the idea!! I have been roasting just about every vegetable and that's would be great!
