hi ladies! i have been on p4 since december...and yes the scale has moved...up down up down..ugh. a tad frustrating. now i am feeling bloated and heavier than i would have wanted. i know it is all an adjustment period and my body getting used to eating other foods again. this week however i have started to have a shake for breakfast and will up my veggies and protein and WATER!! i've been too lax with that over the past 2 months. I am hoping to reach a stable weight and not have so many ups and downs. can't wait for the spring to arrive...here we've been stuck in the deep snow in the northeast and it is hard to exercise and burn those extra calories. good luck to everyone starting, continuing etc. this regime works! my weight went down 80 pounds....and i never felt better. keep working hard day by day.

It has been a year May Starters..how are you all doing? Any original starters still out there? I've started reboot last Wed. Down 4lbs. Annoyed I even have to be doing this again, but it is all my fault for allowing myself to slip up. Looking forward to a successful month. Let me know if anyone is still on...we can do it together.

Default End of April/May start

I just finished my first week on Ideal protein after being off of it for 2 years. I have doing a lot of DIY protein and it is essentially working as well. I am making sure i am taking all of my Vitamins and cal/mag, and potassium ect. It was a tough first week but will be worth it in the end. Sticking to my guns this time. I could use a buddy to encourage me. Ice cream man came driving threw my apartment complex yesterday afternoon, and i thought i was going to have to go out and throw something at him lol.

haha oh dora! icecream at this time of year is oh so delicious. however saying now is worth it. little by little you 'll lose and in a month's time you 'll start seeing the difference and feeling the difference. i lost 79 pounds in 8 months and honestly wasn't hungry....the cravings were more "felt like something crunchy"etc...or missed an orange or a piece of cheese and hummus.
went into p4 and allowed myself to gain back some weight...it was a bit of a test to see if i could "not diet"and eat very healthy foods however more..and i don't eat a lot to begin with...I am happy to report that i'm 5 pounds down from last week since my reboot. first time around i lost 6 pounds in my first week so I am pleased with this week. feeling great!
excellent job for losing 10 ! that is so encouraging. Drink tons of water and herbal teas it helps cravings. If you make a mistake...don't give up..just keep on trucking. you 'll make it!!!

Hi I've been lurking on this thread for past year. I was never able tosign in for some reason. Started in May and lost 50lbs. Have been on a plateau for past 3 months and have been getting lax. I can't figure out how to get back into ketosis. any suggestions?

Hi! I also started a 15 lb reboot on Wed. Getting back into it is hard, but I am going to do it! I still miss my binge foods. So much of this is psychological! Good luck!

Thumbs up 2014 Starters - new thread starting monthly!

The May, June, July, August, September Starters have gathered together as the Summer 2014 Starters for the past several months, and we think we'd like to be more open and invite any 2014 Starters to join us for conversation and support that's pertinent to those of us who have been on IP for 5 months or more.

Of course, like all the 3FC threads, everyone is always welcome to join in on our Summer 2014 thread, but I am posting here today to especially invite the 2014 Starters to join the Summer 2014 gang -- we have a few Winter, Spring and Fall IPeeps who have already made our thread a frequent hang out, and we'd like you all to know you are welcome!

Those of us who started IP in 2014 are at varying stages of diet fatigue, or we're slugging thru the last 10 pounds to reach goal, about to dip toes into phasing off, or actually in P4 and dealing with the challenge of lifestyle change for life. We have found that 3FC IP support has really been a critical success factor for us, and we are thinking that continued support will make a big difference to us in keeping the losses off.

We are inspired by the Oct/Nov 2013 group (O/N 2013) that has continued to hang out together for going on 2 years, and we see their good results in maintenance! If we collaborate, we can create that kind of long term success, too!

Please note - this is not an attempt to divert attention from the IP Community Weekday and Weekend Chats -- those threads are such a good way for all of us to pay it forward for the benefit of newcomers, and to provide general support across the whole IP community - Lisa is so committed to providing leadership in those threads by keeping the initial postings with all the links to resources fresh and informative, and most all of us IPeeps feel it is important to pass along the support we have received there -- it has been invaluable. So don't pass it the IP Community threads up!!!

Most of the 2014 monthly starter threads no longer show up on page 1 of the Ideal Protein sub forum, but we believe there are plenty of you out there still working your journey -- So do look for the new thread of 2014 Starters tomorrow, and come join us!
