Everyone's coach seems to tell people different things but mine said I could do 3 unrestricted and 1 restricted as long as I was over 200 lbs. I'm now under and doing 2 unrestr and 1 restr.

Hope I don't frustrate you with conflicting information???

Mine said the same thing...that the plan is 2 unrestricted packets a day and 1 unrestricted, but if I was still hungry I could have 1 additional unrestricted. I am over 200 lbs. I think the reason they are called unrestricted because you can have more than 2 and you should be ok as long as you don't abuse it. Why would they call them unrestricted if they are restricted?!

I think the "unrestricted" refers to being able to have more than one a day of those packets (like if you wanted to have 2 puddings in the same day). Restricted products are higher in carbs, etc. so are only once per day.

That said, most coaches allow an extra unrestricted pack especially in the beginning while your body adjusts. I also know that some coaches base the number of packs on body weight but not all.

Other circumstances can call for extra packs - when I was severely limited in what veggies I could eat (including no raw veggies) because of health issues, my coach added an extra unrestricted to 1) help with hunger and 2) the extra protein helped with healing.

It gets confusing when coaches make up their own rules or don't clearly explain things.

My niece is getting married next summer (year and a half), no way am I going to be fat in those pictures! So I have motivation to make goal and even more to maintain. We are in this together for the long haul.

When do you WI this week? I WI on Sat. 28. Actually heading to WNL today to pick up my food for the week. Wish it would stop raining! I have lots of errands to do.

That makes sense...I'm following the sheet and only having 3 packets if I end up starving at the end of the day which seldom happens.

KookySuki, are you in Ohio? How was your travel? What was the family's reaction to your weight loss?

Hi! My flight is tomorrow, so I've got to do laundry and pack today. Right now I'm being really productive and watching Scandal on Netflix.

Wow, you are brave flying with the masses on Christmas Eve! I am procrastinating too. Need to get up and get going. Just found out that a best friend's dad passed away this morning. That means a trip to NY later in the week. I am also hosting New Year's Eve at my house and the house is a disaster right now. Oh, the best laid plan...

Oh I'm sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you'll get some down time after the New Year. I've never flown on Christmas Eve, but I'm hoping it won't be too bad. I'll just make sure to give myself extra time to get to the airport because the traffic in between can be unpredictable. Hopefully all will go smoothly. Just 1 connecting flight in Salt Lake and then off to Cincinnati.

Just popping in to say "Merry Christmas"
Looking for support and inspiration from the entries as we are bombared with treats and dainties full of carbs. Doing my best to eat healthy. Stocked up on celery and peppers for me to nibble on. What are your plans to stick to IP protocol over the next couple of days?

Looking forward to our family holiday on January 27, 2014! My husband is down 30 lbs and I am down 27lbs. - Our twins are our motivation as parents. (plus the trip)

Dir9774, I am sticking close to plan. My mom has been great about an alternative meal for me on Christmas Eve- having beef tenderloin. I am going to have 2 eggs in a portobello cap for breakfast. Christmas dinner at my brother's is ham. Only going to have 4 ounces and eat veggies (SIL will keep some clean for me) going to arrive with a mug of hot herbal tea, that keeps me away from the bar area.

Unfortunately, one of my closest friend's father passed away this morning. I will be going away to a hotel for 2 nights. Not worried about the packets, but I am concerned about getting in the 8 ounces and 4 cups. These are college friends. So when they get together they tend to drink like we did 20 years ago, but I will not give in to peer pressure ( and they will pressure) Have come too far in this holiday season to give in now!
