Tried my jicama with chili powder and lime, cinnamon and stevia and roasted as fries with paprika and onion powder. Definitely preferred the fries. DH liked the cinnamon and I didn't think he would even try them. I actually didn't let him try the fries, they were so good and all mine!
Things are going well. I'm feeling really good. I've almost cleared my "top shelf" of all those clothes I grew out of or bought too small but thought I would fit into soon. Hoping to make them all work through the summer.

Stopped I to the VV boutique (value village) on the weekend to pick up some new tops. Getting dressed has been a real chore lately as nothing is fitting right.

This made me laugh, we call it the V V Boutique, too. One nice thing about it is if you are a very small size there can be an amazing amount of designer duds at wowzer prices. I have to have a lot of self control when I hit the store - "just top of the line goods only, please..."
I'm here.....I'm back to Phase 1 to get rid of the last 10 or so pounds after my June 'o fun. Managed to maintain...but I still want to crack the whip and get rid of the rest. So this weekend was actually a big sendoff where I had about 3 days of eating way too fun LOL. But I am back on it today and have my goal in mind...come back to me ketosis! I've missed you!!
I found 2 new products today. Got them both at Loblaws:
1) President's Choice 20 g. protein shakes sweetened with sugar and stevia = 10g sugars and a bit of an odd taste. Not unpleasant... but just odd. Maybe that "stevia" taste? They are not as thick as Costco shakes but are also not 30 g. protein

2) Isofemme Vanilla shake powder --
115 cal
1 g fat
2g carb
1g sugar
25g protein
I don't usually like protein powders so I'll let you know the results when I make a shake tomorrow. I hope it tastes as good as the numbers
they just use the term milk protein which is the same as whey protein... :/
Yeah, I'm pretty limited for alternatives... mainly vegan ones and the texture isn't usually all that great.
Well I feel dumb now -- just clued in what whey is -- as in Little Miss Muffet and her tuffet and the curds and whey.... never made a MILK connection. Was thinking it was WHEAT related. Duh.
