Thanks! |
The head aches are temporary, mine stopped after 2 days. I still sometimes get dizzy if i stand up too quickly but i think that would happen anyways. I am glad to see the action on this board start to pick up again. Welcome all new and old.
So, i know last time i posted i said i was struggling and getting bored with my food. That is no longer the case. Back to enjoying my cuisine thoroughly. I had a couple of cheat days last month and it really increased my cravings and slowed my weight loss. I still was losing weight but i was down about 1-2lbs a week. Still positive but i was used to 5-6 lbs a week. Anyways been carb and alcohol free again for over a week i am down 8lbs from my last way in. Kinda sobering (figuratively and literally). So i am officially 19lbs away from my goal, hoping to knock it out within the next month. |

I am feeling great today. My pants and belt are a little loose but my energy and focus is so much better and I am not going through the huge swings in glucose levels. I am not exhausted like I am when I am eating poorly. |
Mason,
I'm going through sort of the same thing. After being on this diet since October, I'm sensing I could use a mental break from it. I'm thinking about phasing off summer as I will be traveling frequently. I don't really feel like paying for the expense IP food if I'm not able to stick to it 100% while traveling. I'm also considering phasing it off and work on develop healthy eating habits with normal food. IP has been great for getting my weight into manageable levels, but I really dislike the limitations on exercise (which I have got into the habit of doing daily) and the fact that one small cheat can derail losses for a whole week. Ip has done a great job of teaching me about portion control and healthy eating habits, but I want to try maintaining a normal, healthy diet. I have an old high school friend who now does personal training and nutritional guidance and I think instead of continuing IP after I get back, I might give it a shot with her. If I'm not able to be successful on that route, I can always return to IP. We'll see, nothings set in stone yet. |
Todays almost over- Headaches -still there but not as bad.. I did fill like I wanted to eat more today.....

Just a little info on me I am 45y/o start weight for me was 290lb now I am at 235.5lb in 6 months. This PLAN works buddy. The first 3 or 4 days is the worse after that your energy level will be AMAZING, here is some tips that help me. 1. Use the DAILEY JOURNAL BOOK every day like clock work. 2.WATER and LETTUS is your best friend. 3.divide your oz's allow into lunch and dinner. 4.Try and find a support group in your area if possible that is doing IP so your not alone. 5.Go on U-TUBE to get recipes so it won't get boring to you. Good luck to you Joe, and keep us updated on your progress.:D |
Thanks bigsidd !

So listening to the women in the other threads kept me sane for the first few days but it's nice to know I am not the only guy on this site when I found this thread.
I just started IP on Monday. Day 4. |
Week 6
I started on the 21st of April and after 5 weeks I am down 23.8 pounds. It is very restrictive but doable. My big issue is travel and social events. I feel deprived watching others eat, drink, and have a good time while I have another
glass of water. Withdrawing from society due to a diet? Probably not a good thing. Any suggestions appreciated. |
