Congratulations! That was always my problem, leaving the clothes lay around in Rubbermaid containers...I would just slide right back into them when I put the weight back on. This time, I'm doing the same thing, getting rid of them. What a great accomplishment, a size 8. Woo hoo!

Morning Ladies! Cold out there this morning, the furnace has been running it seems forever. Two days ago it was in the 70's, today 40.

Have a wonderful day everyone! Running late this morning! Cheers!

Good morning, everyone! Lizzy - congrats! Don't you just love that feeling of clothes being too big, or previously tight clothes - or better yet, clothes that were completely unwearable due to being too small, now fitting well? LOVE that!

Well, I got a new piece of "exercise equipment" Sunday night.....a 2 1/2 year old Siberian Husky!!! And she LOVES to go on walks - lots of them! We adopted her from somebody in Mobile, AL who had been hurt on the job and could no longer care for her. Her name is Chloe and she is absolutely beautiful. All white with sky blue eyes - and gentle and calm as can be. Anyway, I'm finding that I'm getting A LOT MORE WALKING in (even in the rain) since Chloe joined our family! I think this is the happiest I've been since my mom died earlier this year....She's better than any anti-depressant!

Have a wonderful day, and thank you all for being here. Your stories, tips, and support and so appreciated by so many - including me.

Congrats on the new addition to your family! My Robin (yellow lab) is a great motivator. She's just so excited and happy about our walks. And so loving! I don't feel like our little empty nester family would be complete without her.

Hi all:

Crazy crazy at work these days - and am afraid it might be like this all month The good news is that they're looking at getting medical insurance for me soon, and increasing my hours to 40 p/week starting in January! My job description and title will be changing as well. All good

P3 is going well; tried Kashi Go Lean cereal this morning, with part of a banana on it...mmmmmmmmm!

For my MFP buddies - I'm not going to be able to keep my food diary up-to-date as we've used up most of our limited MBs of 'net service at home. Living "in the sticks" as we do, options are very limited for service, so this is what we deal with. For some reason, we seem to use it up faster some months than others. But I am staying OP.

Back to the grindstone...have a great day!

Size 8??? Yeegads. I haven't been in a size 8 since I was about 30 (nearly 30 years ago) and that was back when size 8's were a lot bigger than they are now. Congratulations!! Maybe you could wear the pants inside out so everyone can see the size tag?

Sharon, Love having dogs. They do make me so happy. Sorry to hear about your mom. Mine died last October -- over a year ago. She was senile and chair bound and I thought pretty unhappy; but losing her was hard. Harder than I thought given that I had lost most of her already to senility. Anyway, I almost immediately went out and got a puppy. So cute, so enthusiastic, so. . . .HAPPY. It makes two dogs for us, and I just love having them. Your husky sounds absolutely beautiful.

Hope today is a day of accomplishment. I feel behind on everything -- 'tis the season, right? But the diet is going really well. Didn't feel hungry at all yesterday, and that's so nice.

Ho, ho, ho!!

I have lots of clothes now that need to go - mostly 12s and 14s - I will post this stuff on the clothing exchange eventually, but offering here first, since my clothes are probably more mature styles, if that makes sense. If you're looking for clothes in those sizes, let me know and I'll let you know what I've got. They gotta go so its not too easy for me to slide back into old habits.
Woo-hoo! Size 8!! Way to go. I've been meaning to ask... I recall you saying that you (like me) were hoping to see the 'final stretch' of weight loss focus from your tummy/stomach area as you lost those final lbs to get to your goal weight. Has that happened for you, now that you're at goal... actually under goal!

Ohhh --- Chloe sounds adorable. What a great piece of 'exercise equipment'. And so nice that she's helping to lift your spirits after your mom's death.

Kashi Go Lean.... I'll have to add it to my P3 shopping list. Glad to hear that all is going well for you.

Got me chuckling with your 'wear the pants inside out so everyone can see the size tag' comment. If I ever get myself whittled down that small, I'll be tempted!!! Glad to hear the diet is going well for you. It sure helps when you're not hungry!

------------------

Well it's been about a week since I've been back on P1. I've stayed at 160.4 since Sunday... well, actually up and down slightly, but right around there. I started back on P1 last Thursday at 163.0lbs, so I've got the scale moving again by -2.6 lbs. I'm staying on P1 for at least another week, and seeing what happens. I'm realizing that I've been putting extra pressure on myself... that I've fallen into this attitude of wanting to phase off soon in order to enjoy Christmas a bit more... but I also realize that I certainly don't have to phase off before I'm 100% happy with my weight and body. I can totally enjoy Christmas, while remaining on P1. I'll be amongst people who are very supportive of what I'm doing... although I wouldn't be surprised if I'll get a few 'you're slim enough now' comments, if I'm still on P1. But I can deal with that.

Anyway... sort of just thinking out loud here.

Cheers to all of you, and hope you are having a great day.

Came back to add: I recently bought a spiral slicer unit - had to order online and received it a few days ago. Since then I've been making long strands of zucchini 'spaghetti' and cucumber spirals. Funny how serving it up looking different like that can make it more enjoyable. Very nice, just with a touch of evoo/acv/spice dressing. I had to remember to cut the spirals though... otherwise it's all one long string! The first time I tried it I was wrapping it around my fork forever... forgot it was all still 'attached'. LOL
I bought the Joyce Chen Spiral Slicer, which was recommended because it's got stainless steel parts and is quite stury. Apparently there's another model out there which has plastic 'teeth' and doesn't work quite as well. This little machine sure does 'spiralize' the veggies. http://www.rawnutrition.ca/productse...?qs=Joyce+Chen

WI today 6#!!! That was a pleasant surprise. Felt like it was 9 wks ago when I started and had big losses. Feeling good so far this is the best thing I have done in a long time.
Planing a trip to Denver to see a friend from nursing school. Not as worried now about being short of breath at the high altitude since my wt will be even lower by then.

I'm so glad to hear about your great luck at work. I know how bad things are job-wise in Michigan. Congratulation. Hope this a turn around a big corner for you.

Also glad to hear you enjoying those P3 breakfasts.

Hope to be able to get together this spring when we return to the cottage for more than a week or so at a time.

That's a FANTASTIC loss - way to go, Julie!!

Evepet - I don't know how to explain this, but I think things are sort of shifting around and evening out - less of a saggy pooch. The little crease below my tummy is much less noticeable and I am getting more of a waist. Anyhow, it's a good thing!

There are 2 flavors that are low enough in carbs, both in the Heart Healthy variety...the Cinnamon one and the Honey one. Unfortunately the blueberry one has too many carbs

Thank you! That is a relief to be getting medical insurance soon. Have been without it for over 2 years now. I'm excited that we'll be "neighbors" soon Molly! (Well, maybe the term 'neighbor' is a stretch - LOL)
