I agree Rainbow, you have gorgeous hair!

Congrats to all, these are very motivational :)

Congratulations, all of you! Some NSVs since starting IP in the beginning of October:
* I'm no longer in the obese BMI category.
* My body has a shape! I have cheekbones! And wrists! And a waist!
* I can fit into clothes I haven't worn for a year.
* I feel empowered about my ability to make positive changes in my life. This is probably my biggest NSV. :)

Freakin amazing! You are so beautiful - in all ways!

My recent NSVs...ENJOYING seeing photos of myself from my Halloween Party - and thinkign, "you are cute Amy!" THAT hasn't happened in a long time.
Wearing size 7 rings that were HS graduation gifts! And needing to use one to hold my wedding band on : 0

Ishbel 10-29-2012 02:28 PM

rainbow I have to say, going from a cane to finishing a 5K is by FAR the best NSV I've read so far since being on this forum. There are MANY MANY AWESOME ones...but really from a cane to finishing a 5K...WOWZA girlie!

SDChickie Wait two weeks you won't be squeezing into them soon! I blew past the 16's and all of a sudden I went from an 18 to a 12-14...keep trying them on, don't think you won't fit. Make all your smaller clothes "maybe tomorrow" and keep trying them on!

...I love this thread! :)

IntheEvening 10-29-2012 02:51 PM

NSV: My hockey jerseys are too big now!!! I guess I can start buying kids size, plus side is that there cheaper too! Aw yeah!

Fishette 10-29-2012 04:00 PM

My NSV requires a bit of explanation. I am a pear shape with most of my fat on the upper thighs...starting right above the place the clinic decides to measure me. I have measured the fat area of my right thigh very week. I only go by that measure because it does not seem to fluctuate for non-fat reasons - things like what I had for dinner or when I last ate or how much water I drank an hour ago. I'm happy to report that every one of my 10 weeks on this program have shown at least 1/4 inch drop in that measure...even the weeks when I had very little change in the scales and even a gain at one point. This has really helped me to stay focused because although the scale said I was in a stall, the measure said everything is right on track. I wanted to loose 5 inches when I started and today I have lost 3 inches, with only 2 more to go. I am pleased as punch!

OneofThreeGirls 10-29-2012 04:07 PM

Standing up today looking in the mirror while getting ready for work, I can see a space between my thighs, LOL! They aren't touching!!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!

Minch 10-29-2012 04:40 PM

Today was a good day for me! A gal I work with commented on how my weightloss is really starting to show and then tonight while getting supper ready, my DH mentioned how noticeable it's becoming! It sure makes a girl feel good about herself!!

I look forward to my daughter coming for a visit in a couple of weeks. She has no idea I'm on any kind of a diet so hopefully she'll notice too!

We do this for ourselves ultimately but it's really great to get compliments from the people you love!

J bug 10-29-2012 04:55 PM

I had to put masking tape around the back band on my wedding ring today for fear of losing it!

AWESOME NSV's EVERYBODY I LOVE THIS THREAD!

-I actually was BOUNCY walking up a hill to my car today after voting.
-Fit into clothes I haven't worn for a while already!
-My ankles are no longer uncomfortable swollen.
-Coworker said how noticably my face has changed! Thinner, and healthier looking!
-I made it through a whole emotionally-intense weekend without cheating!
-I am feeling more motivated in other areas of my life. I have come up with a budget and an agressive debt-repayment schedule.

Great Dane 10-30-2012 01:41 AM

With way less pounds of me to haul up the hill, my weekend Badger Mountain hikes (vertical rise of about 800') with my pup, are now a "walk in the park"! My coach knows I do these, she just wants to know how many times during the week I do the climb.

newlady 10-30-2012 04:09 AM

Going to work in a size 12 and praying I can keep them up for the rest of the day. Trying on my 10 and they fit. And just 10 weeks in and loosing this much weight. One of my co workers watching and making an appointment. Love reading everyone's everyone is doing great.

tightwad 10-30-2012 01:39 PM

Not sure if this qualifies as a NSV but my wife, who makes gourmet cupcakes and custom birthday cakes, baked a large batch this weekend and I wasn't tempted to even try one!

starsandrockets 11-02-2012 11:21 PM

My boyfriend and I were walking out to the car and he looked down at my pants and said "Your pants sure are getting baggy" I just laughed because these are the smaller pants that I just bought and he thinks they're too big for me already.

Not sure how I missed this, Great Dane, but oh my GOODNESS!!! I'm not sure I could ever make that hike! But now I have a new destination in mind for a reward vacation... just so I can try! lol!

Great Dane 11-06-2012 12:03 PM

rainbowsmiles What a fantastic pic (in more ways that one!!!)

NSV That windstopper jacket I bought on clearance two months ago hoping it would fit nice by Thanksgiving??? Fits today! Or at least I can zip it up and if I stand up straight, looks fab!

Hgamroth 11-06-2012 12:31 PM

I just bought a bra that only has 2 clasps on the back...NOT 5!!! I cannot remember ever wearing a pretty, cute bra, always at least 5 hooks on the back, wide straps and extra support. I like pretty underwear!!!

Luxurious! I did that for reaching 30 lbs. I wish I could have one every week! My esthetician said she'd never seen my skin looking so hydrated. All this water is good!

NSV: I had to buy all new winter stuff as everything I had last year (which used to be very tight) was way to big and providing no protection against the Saskatchewan wind.

Rainbow, you are too funny.

Five little ol hooks=major back and neck pain, insecurity and slumped shoulders/bad posture. I am so happy to be rid of my neck and back pain. Love IP!

JenRem 11-07-2012 12:38 AM

I love to read the posts in this thread. They are so much fun and inspiring :)

1. I can now zip my winter jacket (with 13lbs lost), whereas when I started IP on Oct. 12, I couldn't. It is a little snug, but saves $$$ since I don't have to buy a new one.
2. I have more energy.
3. I am more hopeful in this aspect of my life than I have been in a very long time!

Jen :)

Nothing says NSV like having to return two pairs of pants I "pre-bought" to fit in later. I by-passed them both! One at one size and the other at a size smaller. My weight loss is still kind of stalling around again but like I said in a different post my globs-o-chunk are rearranging themselves lately.

:cp: yep, thats pretty cool!!!!!!!!!!!!

Minch 11-14-2012 08:13 AM

All my winter coats from last year are fitting again! At the end of last winter, I was bulging out and didn't want to do them up! Freezing for vanity's sake...so silly! This feels SO good!

I can definitely relate to this NSV! Last year my favorite (and only professional looking) winter coat could barely get over my arms and buttoning them up?? Fuggetaboutit!! It was embarrassing, but I refused to buy another one, because, well, do you know how expensive those coats are??? I haven't tried it on yet, but I'm hoping it'll fit at least a little better this year. Congrats on fitting yours!! :carrot:

Willi 11-14-2012 09:41 AM

Great NSVs all. I like being able to fit into a plane seat without lifting the armrest of the person beside me! I bought a coat at Macy's while visiting Orlando and it is a small ( the clerk told me they were sized bigger but at 190 lbs I don't care!).

4Mom 11-14-2012 11:29 AM

This is my 3rd week on IP and yesterday I sat at my desk all day and didn't have to unbutton my pants to give my belly a little relief :D Aslo I did not rush home to my comfy sweat pants.
