I was asked if i was jakes "AUNT" and cliff's "SISTER"!!!!

sister!!!!

IP is not only good for weight loss....it makes you look and feel younger too!

WOOT WOOT!!!

That's exactly what I thought as well!

It surprised me that the man on the picture is not your brother.

Congratulations! You look awesome!!

Well I had to bite the bullet this weekend and go clothes shopping, everything I had was seriously falling off.
My daughter took me into warehouse one, a store that she shops at which I have never been able to get clothes at due to my size. I have been in this store with her before and always felt that the sales people were wondering if I had mixed up the front doors as the peningtons (large size store) was next door.
It's so true that our minds take longer to process our weight loss as the feelings were still there. For the first time one of the sales girls came over and asked me(me!) if there was anything she could help me find. I asked for the capris and said I was a little unsure what size I would need. She looked at me and grabbed a few pairs of 14s, omg. I can't even begin to describe the feelings going through me..I could cry I'm so happy.
I'm still in shock, what an experience to buy clothes I liked and that actually fit well. This could become addictive :)

I love this thread as well!
BUMP!

spunky536 06-04-2013 09:58 AM

MY NSV this week is that over the weekend, I was going through some clothes that my oldest daughter passed on to the youngest (she is a teenager), and I found some clothes that fit me! It's so fun to find a new wardrobe especially from your skinny teenager, lol. So naturally I had to point it out to my DH and tell him, see... this is why we keep clothes. As women, we fluctuate in sizes so much. And if I hadn't have kept them then we would be buying me new clothes this month, then next when I lose more. (he still thinks we should get rid of stuff though, lol.)

Stopped at old work offices.....(retired now)

This AM I had to drop off a beneficiary change form for one of my retirement benefits at my former employer's HR dept. In the lobby I saw a man I used to to work with...and he gave me a bear hug...and said....."Where'd you go? You look great!!..."

MSEMDEE 06-10-2013 10:05 PM

Did a little closet shopping and got some great finds in my own closet!

I had to removed 98% of my clothes in my closest because they do not fit *happy dance* my wallet doesn't like me right now as I had to buy new stuff but thats ok! lol

Also, and this may seem trivial, but I have a GAP between my legs when I stand. A genuine goodness to god gap!! I've NEVER had that even when I was a teenager. and I have it!!! WOOHOO!!!

lol

My first weigh in is tomorrow no matter how much I lost I am happy because I stood at the buffet passing out desserts and did NOT cheat. Hey did I mention I did NOT cheat!!!!!!!

Amazing stories! This is so encouraging -- I like the reminder that not all victories are scale-related.

3 NSV's today!
1. Finally fit back into a few pairs of jeans that haven't seen the light of day in over a year.
2. One of my bosses looked at my today and called me the Incredible Shrinking Woman.
3. I have clavicle bones again!!!

Sansfilter 06-18-2013 08:48 PM

Today's NSV: I work with kids, and one of the moms told me today that I need to go buy some clothes that fit. She said it out of kindness, but we both laughed. I promise my pants fit well when I left the house, but within a few hours, those things got baggy. I'm sure y'all know what I'm talking about.

"Baked Cookies" last night, twice! It was AWESOME.

It was a chore before IP and loosing so much weight!

A1Texan 06-19-2013 10:48 AM

Today I felt comfortable enough to tuck my shirt in. Haven't done that in over ten years.

Iolani 06-19-2013 11:40 AM

Pants loose

I tried on a size 4 pair of pants that I had in my closet and that I wore 5 years ago and they are very loose.

It's not your age...it's amt of time on the board.
The term was used frequently last Summer/Fall

WestLAgrl 06-19-2013 06:14 PM

In a past few days I have been getting used to the 'flat stomack'
Now, it's no where even close to being flat, but it does feel that way. Even after the meal I do feel its nicely 'flat' and I can feel the hip bone.
Also, it's amazing to me how much I missed being able to place a palm of my hand to my lower back, cross my legs without holding one leg with a hand, feel that I actually fit in my car seat.

And I am so ready for the future, this is 'just' 30lb down and I am close to 1/3 of my goal.

You guys are amazing!!! My journey thus far has been that much easier because of all the great support we all answers to our questions that we might have!

THANK YOU!:)

Where I live we have a local bakery that is amazinggggg. My coworkers are celebrating birthdays this month so my manager went to the bakery and came back with a huge cake and two boxes of goodies. Everything looked really good but I didn't touch any of it.

I have never worn cords because with my thighs I was sure it was a way to start myself on fire! lol.

My NSV today is that my husbands much smaller towels (like small hotel size) completely cover me. Kept having the problem of my towels having to wrap around me like twice now so I tried his and voila!! Could not be more please, tired of being bigger then my man. :D

IdealProteinNewbie 06-21-2013 08:01 PM

Love that Monica!

I remember when I was on a business trip and a hotel towel completely wrapped around me...it was amazing!

Oh girl, me too!
When DH was hanging up laundry, he said he's confusing pants now & is glad I'm wearing capris for summer. His hips are still smaller but our waists are comparable now (I still couldn't pull his shorts over my hips if I tried!)
I'll keep going til I'm SMALLER! I'm hourglass-shape with a waist about 10" smaller than my hips. Now that I'm within 25 lbs of goal, you can actually SEE the shape now (and its no longer square!)

LOL at starting a fire!

I fit into capris that I haven't been able to wear for a year. :)

accgy 06-25-2013 04:08 PM

I donated some clothing to the Calgary flood relief today as it no longer fits me

SlimminIt 06-25-2013 08:31 PM

Today I tried on and discovered my Gap boot cut size 6 jeans fit! They're my smallest leftover pair of jeans from Years ago. I'm down from a size 12 in the same style of jeans . . . so according to pants size I'm half the size I was, LOL :)
