Hey everyone, NSV today, I was walking through Walgreens (similar to Rite Aid or CVS) getting some stuff for DH, he had a tooth extraction that was totally not planned today, and I looked up into their security "window" (that long mirror that spans like the whole floor) and realized I looked HAWT. Yes DH took my pic tonight with the new sexy shoes, now just waiting for him to e-mail them so I can put them up on tomorrow's thread.

Just checking in, saying hey, and hope everyone has a good night.

They jumped out of the box at you???? I thought you made them out of the unnecessary a$$ part of your chaps !

They are so cute!!

If you don't mind me asking what size do you wear? You said you have little feet.
I wear size 5 and it is so hard to find that size anywhere.
Not that I need blank me type shoes anymore! But it's hard to find any comfortable ones even.

That's what I do too!! Well more now training teachers to be literacy coaches.
Fascinating work I love it and not nearly as physically demanding as being a classroom teacher.

I really do love my job...I always thought I would miss having my own classroom, but have found that being in so many different classrooms and working with teachers is the best job ever! I also am a trainer for LLI teachers so I work with coaching the reading interventionists, too. Awesome work and it certainly keeps you on your toes!! Please let me know if you ever need anything along the way. I would be happy to help!

Kaypix, you are hilarious, and ever so helpful! Thank you re: photobucket. I tried to upload just one pic I have in there earlier, and got the msg that the pic is too small! I'll have my VIP help me with that one when he gets back from IN tomorrow night.

LizRR - LOOK at you in your Hot Pink Skinny Jeans!!! Awesome I would so get me a pair if I were your size too!

Ameed3 - Love your new avatar! You're rockin' this program!

Molly - so sorry you're struggling with pain. I def know what that's like, and am so happy mine's gotten better the past few months. Keep your chin up...am sending healing vibes your way.

Thank you for the really nice comments on my new avatar and for the encouragement. Am pretty sure I'll bust into the next decade at my next WI!

Congratulations on all the great WIs!

Hi Pat! Sounds like we do have a lot in common! I work mainly with K-2 teachers, but have also done PD for PreK-8....Those middle school teachers are tough!! Of course, I had to woo them with my ways....They all come along and see the light sooner or later!

I had my 3rd weigh in today and I'm terribly disappointed. It could be that I only lost 1 pound despite being 100% OP, but I really think it has more to do with my coach.

I've been on provera (progesterone hormone) this last week to provoke menstruation, so losing just a pound doesn't bother me too much. And honestly I don't expect to lose much weight this upcoming week either as it will be my TOM.

What bothers me is that the coach I saw today is a 'true thin.' I don't think she has a clue what it's like to be overweight nor does she have the education to understand the delicacies of the program and how it affects people differently.

I had a very hard first week on the program going through carb detox, the second week was a breeze, the third week was hard. I was tired all the time and hungry.

My clinic doesn't offer restricted items until you're a couple weeks into the program on strictly unrestricted foods. They want us to be in a 'good fat burning mode.' So my coach today suggested that I add one restricted item to my diet each day. She suggested this without asking me anything about my TOM, or even reviewing my food journal (which no one has ever reviewed). As a matter of fact, I had to ask to have my body composition done. And I always feel rushed in my appointments because they see so many patients.

When I chat with the primary coach (who is an RN) she's very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I can also text her questions throughout the week which is nice. The other 'coach' I don't think is a good match for me. When I made my last appointment I thought it was with the RN coach but when I got to the appointment I saw the other coach instead. I learned today the days the RN coach works and rescheduled my WIs for a new day. I hope to see the RN coach a week from Friday.

My WI upset me today (and that could be because I'm PMS'ing or maybe that I have a coach without personal weight loss experience or education) either way thanks for letting me vent.

We are doing much the same thing! I love LLI!. But I have ended up mainly in Middle and high schools too. I am in a lot of schools, I like being out and about.

I trained as a RR teacher leader and also have a reading specialist certification, it's opened a lot of doors.
Strange 3 of us on one thread doing mostly the same thing in our working life!

Me too, I mean any help you need. It is different countries but the certification is through IRA guidelines so the same things. It is a very smart move to do the upgrading now, but very hard while doing it!

It is actually a good idea to add the restricted each day. that is the standard IP protocol. Cutting anything out from that protocol is eliminating things from an already resticted program.

Try to really fill up on veggies too. That and having the resricted should really help with being tired and hungry. I'll bet you will have an easier week and will have great results next appointment.

I trained in Reading Recovery last year...I love RR and its so good for kids. I'm thinking of finishing my reading specialist certification....the credits just cost so much money! Maybe after I'm finished up with IP...I'll have all that extra money just hangin' around in my bank account!
