That is wonderful. My Hairy Cell Leukemia was gone years and came back in 2010. It is is in remission again.
Did you get treated at Dana Farber/Brigham and Women's in Boston? I am a Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse there. Wouldn't that be something if you were on my floor. Thanks Nancy from the Cape. Love the honesty with your sharing
Today is my first day on IP! I have been checking out the threads and really appreciate the helpful tips and info. Does anyone know if you can add chia seeds to your puddings or drinks?
I have a chia seed shake every morning and it helps keep me full and regular. I've seen no affect on my weight loss. I use 1 tbsp chia seeds in 1c unsweetened original almond milk (this has no sugar and 1 carb). I add a little vanilla extract, a packet of stevia, and cinnamon to it and its wonderful. Good luck!
So I think I might of messed up, but had a good result from it...
I bought egg beaters again but I accidentally bought the original version and not the egg whites. I had a larger than normal loss this week as well as being a lot less hungry. Could it be that having that extra protien throughout the week helped me?
Hey there,
So any helpful tips would be soooo welcome. I started IP last Thursday and today, my family left town for an entire week. I had all my meals ready to go today, so i did great OP in the 13 hour car ride (those the cheetoh munching in the back seated sounded nummy LOL).
I brought my 3 packets a day for each day, but how do I handle lunch and dinner real food style? Any advice would be great!
Thanks for all the support everyone gives on here. I know I can make it with this great community. It is something that I have never had in the past when doing a diet and am real excited about :-)
Thanks in advance,
Lee
I made it to 50 pounds lost a week or two ago, posted it, don't remember any replies to it but it is big for me.
Diana great job! I am sorry I missed that . I lost 50lbs a few weeks back and noticed that too. Maybe people will reach out more because we are all food addicts struggling a day at a time

I want to say congratulations to both of you!! You are right we are all struggling food addicts and this is a great milestone!!
Hi all! Just a quick pop in to say hello. Got back a few hours ago from my 20th high school reunion and had a fantastic time. Loved seeing the expressions on everyone's face since I'm smaller now than I was, sadly, at 18.
Omg you look so pretty. Hope you had wonderful time
Posted in the Phase 3 thread, but wanted to share here:
I am so excited to go to bed early, wake up and have my first phase 3 breakfast!!!
Tomorrow I planned for:
PB2 and Raspberries on an english muffin and scrambled eggs w cheddar
Carbs: 42g
Protein: 26g
Fat: 13g
Calories: 440
i REALLY don't want to be a debbie downer or anything, but just to keep you safe *and other's please chime in if i'm wrong!* , i think the carb count is quite high.. and i think that's too much fat for the meal. maybe i'm wrong? what's PB2? When i did phase 3 for vacation... they said 1 fat 1 carb 1 protein and 1 fruit... these all being single servings.. so i would have something like...
1-2 eggs *P (with ~1 oz of cheddar cheese *F)
1-1.5 pieces of low carb toast*C
a banana *F
i continued to lose weight through-out phase 2 and 3 when i did one week each for vacation in April.
were you planning on having a full serving of each the cheese and PB? also the carbs... what "limit" did your clinic give you for breakfast?? i'm pretty sure i was supposed to put a 25 carb maximum limit on my breakfast ... (one piece of regular toast, or a very small bowl of kashi cereal) i hope i'm wrong because your meal sounds MUCH better and i'd be more excited for my final phasing process in the next 4 pounds
Aw, thanks everyone! Yeah, for the first time in, I don't know, forever, I actually felt like I looked pretty good! Very strange sensation.
It was a great experience overall, so great to see so many people again, I'm so glad I went. And SO glad that the timing worked out so that I could be this far along with IP to notice (and feel) a real difference.
You look amazing!! Do proud of you!! I skipped my 30th because of my weight.
Keep up the great work!! You are an inspiration to beginners like me
How is everyone doing? I haven't been on in a long time. I have been on IP since 4/02/12 and have lost about 25 pounds. I have 2 weddings to attend this summer and one involves travel(to NY). I'm very worried about staying OP during this time. I have been struggling too because of the summer fruits available this time of year in Cali. I did find bars that I like, has anyone tried Quest bars? 20 g protein and 4-8 g carbs, cal. run about 160 to 200. They have more fiber than IP bars and less carbs. I plan on taking these with me for breakfast and a snack. Also WF packaged dressings. I wish they would put their Carmel syrup in a portable package. That stuff has helped me with my coffee so much, don't even miss my flavored coffee creamer! Any ideas for traveling on phase one would be so appreciated.Has any one moved away from the coaching and struck out on their own?

Phase 3 guidelines:

50 carbs- 30 from grains, 20 from fruit- I have 22 from the eng muffin, and 11 from the rasp
>25 g protien- I have 12 from eggs, 4 from pbs, 5 from cheddar, 4 from muffin
