1. What is EVOO?

2. Have you guys found certain IP foods satisfy your hunger more than others? I've been really hungry lately & it is a struggle to get through the day. I'm drinking tons of water but still find i'm famished at certain points in the day. I ususally eat a big bowl of "free" lettuce with my homemade oil/vinegar OP dressing.

Other than 1 slip up on memorial day week-end I've been 100% OP! My husband and I are taking our honeymoon trip this July (12 years after the wedding) and I'm very hopeful that I can look as good to him as at our wedding (ignoring all the wrinkles of course). I appr 2eciate you guys bumping up the travel post. I read it and talked to my coach and we are going to phase off the week before the trip. Hopefully I won't do too much damage while on the trip but at least I know I can come back and get right back OP.

Thanks for all the support and for setting such a great example.
EVOO= extra virgin olive oil

Sharing your lunch veggies with breaksfast can help..make omelette with 1 cup. Have 1 cup with salad at lunch with IP soup helps to keep you full longer. Or a shake at breaksfast with cup of spinach blended helps provided a fuller morning meal. There's a variety of ways to stretch you veggie allowance that helps keep you full longer. Check out the recipe thread for ideas and thoughts, it is a great resource.

I found after the 3rd week or so this hunger feeling disappeared as my body adjusted to the change and ridded the carbs and toxins from my system.

Good luck with the program!!!!

I am on day 4! Day 3 was much better than day 1 and 2. I did develop quite a headache late last night. My stepdaughter left for 8 weeks this morning. I am looking forward to the break. She is 15 and causes much of the stress around here :/ I weighed myself this morning and it shows a 3 lb loss from day 1! Great motivation!! I will take 1 lb a day for the first week

Vet: I have no doubt that you’ll make that goal. I bet you’ll be closer to -120 – 130 when we have coffee in August! Your boy is adorable!

Molly: Are you driving the car in your new avatar? Hope you have a great trip!

Mtn: Is it raining where you are? It’s pouring on my half of the country… no garage sales today.

Stacey: Congrats on P3!!! I found the first breakfast a little overwhelming, but was able to adjust well. I’m looking at moving to P4 on Wednesday! You look absolutely amazing!!

Choloe Welcome home! You've been missed. I’m confident that you’ll be able to get back on the IP horse again. This was all planned and in your control – and you are such a great IP advice giver. So glad the trip was great!

Julie: EVOO extra virgin olive oil. You may want to check out coconut oil though – I switched to that early in P1 and I love it! There are many benefits. Someone posted about it here and I read up. The flavor is superb with veggies or stir fry! http://www.organicfacts.net/organic-...conut-oil.html
I find my hungriest time of day is around 3:00, so that’s when I have my restricted – usually a bar with 16 to 20 oz of water. Maybe I “will” myself to feel satisfied after it, but I’m easily held over until dinner at 6:00ish.

As for me: I’m heading out shopping today… and I’ll need lots of luck! I’ve been to the local Kohl’s, Target and JC Penney and had NO luck. I need new clothes for work – everything is falling off! It’s a great way to spend a rainy day, right?

Unfortunately, no. We're actually "chasing" a much newer car. Something for my 70 mile a day commute.

WTG Molly!!!
You are an excellent example of finding solutions to problems. I am heading out to the east coast of Canada today for a week. It is to help my siblings with mom's move to assisted living. Travelling has always impaced me negatively even when I try to make good choices, So thanks for the Subway reminder. That is one place that has been off my radar for long before IP because of the bread.
Great loss this week too.

VET, that picture is so cute of you and Jack, he must love spending time with you having two sisters. Must be great to have some bonding time with Dad. What lucky kids you and the missus have. Not to mention cute.

I want to hit 100# lost by June 28th in 4 more weeks or by July 5th in 5 weeks. I'm going on a short trip to see family and friends on July 4th and I'd really like to have that huge # beat by then.
You will meet your goal! You've been doing great! Love the picture of you son he is adorable!!! I want to go to Disney with my Son, DIL and grandkids too this year!!

Maybe there were different sizes I didn't notice, or it's because I tend to make huge salads at home. It was a good alternative when out and about, but not enough stuff on it...

Good morning everybody! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I'm just putzing around the house, putting some pictures up on the wall after the cleaning/touch up painting I did. May do some yard cleanup too, and if the weather holds, I may do some painting too. Just a little bit left...

Hope you all have a terrific, OP, hilarious Saturday! Remember to laugh!

Well I only lost 1.9 lbs., I was really hoping for more as this is only the second week. I am hoping that my change in IP foods for the week will help. This week I got a drink and a snack and a food for every day of the week. Last week I had almost all soups, and while I like them, I would never get around to eating them until I ate one packet with a salad at 7pm and my meat and veggie meal with a packet at 10 pm. I am hoping that by getting myself easier packets to make, I will eat them in more evenly spaced intervals and that will kick my weight loss into gear. I am definitely hungry between my breakfast packet and 3, I just don't get around to eating. I am also planning to make my salad the night before, when I am making my dinner, so that my salad gets eaten around lunch time. I think that my small weight loss was caused by having all of my meals at once.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Good morning Friends,
This morning the three dogs would not let me sleep in; they seem to dictate when I can and cannot get up. It is pouring down rain and that means I am stuck inside; I melt in it. No just don't care for it; but I guess we need it at least I don't have to turn on the sprinklers and that saves.
I have bee counting my blessings and IP and especially all of you are high up on that gratitude list. It is easy to sit and see what is wrong in life when you don't have to look far to see someone who really needs help and it is a humbeling experience.
I had an extra bar last night so was not 100% yesterday; it happened so fast that I didn't stop to think; but I did stop after I was done and thought about it long and hard! It is not acceptable and I don't condone it but I got over it and did not make it a binge (which I would have some months ago). That is really good!! So I have to focus on that but remember that this is not helping me get to my goal. I had to admit that to you all as complete honesty is the way I want to live my life. I have learned so much here. # 1 staying OP is most important but if you have a slip don't beat yourself up to the point you say what the **** I might as well blow it! So this is huge progress for me!
Love you all!!

You will so make it. I have 9 more pounds to get to 100lbs, but it's going so slow lately that I'm sure you will make it before me. You are doing amazing, and we are all so proud of you on this board.

Good Morning Fellow IPers!

Dreary, rainy day here today. Had WI #4 this morning and down another 2.8lbs. I am so loving IP!!!

My first goal was to lose 20lbs by July 1st. Well, I already exceeded that a month early.

Business trip three days next week but I know I can do this! Losing this much weight and feeling great is keeping me going.

The only issue I have now is that I am not as hungry and can't finish my meals (even with spreading the veggies throughout the day). So, this week I bought the bars and drinks and a few ridges. Hoping this will help me get all the food I need without making myself feel so bloated and forcing the food down.

Now for TMI, still constipated every week and when I take the Novi Lax it kills my stomach so only taking 2 a week. Doing great losing but wondering if I could be losing more if I find something more natural to help things move daily. Any opinions or advice would be great. My coach is checking with the doctor they are connected with and hopefully he will have a few suggestions.

I am also going to start working out 3 days a week to start losing the inches. I hope that the scale will continue to move but if my clothes start to feel better and I am losing the fat but gaining muscle I will be okay. I just love to read the loss on the scale. Although it is great to get all the info on water, fat and muscle percentages so as long as those are moving in the right direction i will be happy.

Hope everyone has a wonderful OP weekend!

You are such an inspiration of acheivement on all fronts with your weight and with all you have accomplished around your home. You wear me out...can you pass some of that energy my way??
I was just teasing; I am truly envious of your achievement; hopefully as the weight comes off I too will get inspired.

Good morning all!

Congratulations on all of your successes. Wow, USVet you are inpsiring me more than ever. Thanks for sharing your photo. What a couple of handsome guys!

I am now officially down 10% of my body weight and people are just now starting to notice. I cannot believe the inches lost in such a short time. 2 1/2 inches off my shoulders, an inch in my neck and an inch in my thorax in just two weeks. (I weigh in every other week)

I wanted to share my success last night. I went to a casino where if you gamble for two hours, they comp you a meal. We went to a buffet which has always been a challenge for me seeing all those yummy foods and piling the plate high.

I had a salad, slice of salmon, shrimp, and clams and it was yummy and I was totally satisfied. My friend kept encouraging me to get a second plate and/or dessert but I said, "I'm really good. I'm full. That was great!"

Most amazing of all, I looked at all the breads and mashed potatoes, fruits and desserts and I really wasn't tempted. This diet has changed my brain!!

Gee, by the way. It's raining and dreary in Seattle too but no surprise. Ha!

Have a great day!
