I have a good cure for punching new holes in a belt. I 3 1/2 nail, block of wood and a framing hammer. Works great. A soldering iron will clean up the hairs in the hole after. I also take the iron and mark the month/year on the belt. Kind of a record sort of.

I broke my 200 lbs of loss mark. I had done 15 lbs before starting the program.

Smile Hunger Pangs!

Just starting day 2 of the IP program (after just getting off work 11pm-7am) and the hunger is causing me to impulsively reach for things I'm not supposed to eat! Don't despair! Haven't succumbed! Constantly telling myself, "Hey, stop! We're on a journey, remember?"

Its beginning to suck already! Got to make momma proud though!

Knew it was going to be sucky at first... You know, like when a vampire turns you and you have to go through the dying process to become a vampire?

200# is awsome Crash. We have some guy's on here that have really made a commitment to make a big change.

I use the nail trick on my regular belts all the time. My good belt is a Ranger type belt and the leather shop said it would be cheaper to have a new one made and just transfer the buckle than it would for them to take the one I have apart and rebuild it. I had it made at a local prison. they really did a nice job.

Lots of dill pickles and water. I had a 4th packet a couple of days when I felt I was starving. It goes away after the few days.

You can make it.

Of course I am not a guy BUT I do post here from time to time to check on everyone. Try to stay focused on what you are doing. When you get those hunger pangs try to distract yourself with something else, don't think about food. If you do, go for the pickles, cucumbers or celery, or like he said go for an extra packet. You can have up to 5 packets if needed a day. i have been on the program now for 65 weeks, I have stayed focused and I think that is why I have come as far as I have. You have to WANT it really bad, IF you do, then you will make it. This is a lifestyle change, this program is amazing IF you stick to it. Stick with these guys and you will do wonderful.

BTW where is USMC???....i haven't seen him around lately, OH WAIT.....I think he is still at cub camp! He needs to come back soon....lol

Howdy and welcome to the show!
First week is quite difficult indeed...heck, it is still difficult for me and am hungry all the time! Except now, I don't pay attention to it any more!

I take a cucumber and cut it into strip (THIN) like noodles...I use a julliene(spelling) tool and it shreads it nice! Then add some zero cal/zero fat/zero carb salad dressing (walden farms products)...some sea salt and bleck pepper and bang-o! Snack time! You can have plain old lettuce till you drop, iceberg, is free and is the only thing that is free. Again, add sea salt, pepper, salad dressing....hopefully you prepared and got some walden farms dressings, if not check your local grocery stores usually in the diet section.

Another thing I do: we get 4 cups veggies a day...try splitting them up...I know its not much...but a cup of cauliflower for example at 10AM can save your life...haha!

Don't forget you get 2 tsp olive oil a day too...you can use it how you want! Imagine that! I mean how can we NOT be hungry on 750-850 calories a day?
After 3-5 days you will be ketosis...that will help "some"...and how much it helps varies from person to person. For me, I am just plain hungry all the time, and thats life....I want the fat off more then I want to eat, so I suck-it-up and plow ahead.

Like the vampire analogy...lol! I could kill a cow and drag my cig lighter across its butt and start eating, especially if I had some sea salt! haha!

Also; make sure you do get the water in each day. Very important...and when really hungry, drink a bottle of water, wait 10 minutes..and then nail a cup of the veggies or such. Its not much, but it does help a little. I walk around burping water all day...too funny!

You also get 8oz of meat protein each day. Some folk's split that between lunch and dinner. So you can consider that also. I save mine all for dinner. After I have dinner is the only time I really feel "human" on this program...and that lasts about an hour!

Be prepared for constipation...ask questions etc...read forum threads, get products NOW, and be ready. Green leafy veg choice help some, getting your olive oil helps some...but still..........be ready.

If I can be of any help, just post up here...I check it usually once a day and glad to answer if I have a suggestion for you.
Good luck!
Remember...when you are starving:
No kicking, biting or punching allowed...unless its your cauliflower! We expect a clean fight...when you hear the dinner bell, go to a neutral corner and drink a bottle of water. After every 15 rounds, you get to have dinner...Ahhhhh, dinner! And if you win when all is said and done, you get NOT a gold medal, not a pizza or donut...nope...you get to go on to Phase II!!!

YES...Life is good!
Be safe out there...drive with windows UP when passing food places, and keep your eyes straight ahead on the road!
And remember; YOU CAN DO THIS THING! Yes, you can!
Cheers
Jake

I think USMCVET said he gets back this weekend from CubCamp. We are to few in numbers to chat enough to stay on page 1. But we are growing while we shrink.

Dude 200 is freaking awesome!!!! I will look. I have two Beagle Wear hunting jackets. One is the Benoit jacket in camo with blaze on the shoulders the other is green and black plaid but I think they're bothn3XL.

The first week sucks. Stick with it. Your are worth the fight. Checking in here helps me with my hunger and cravings it just keeps me busy and focused.

I'm back. I missed you all.
Just wanted to check in. I was at scout camp with my son all week. Awesome time.

I'm sore lots of walking and one 3 mile hike up a little mountain, Eagle Point. This week was full if Lots of physical fitness related NSV's for me and Tons of fun filled memories.

You can see the beach at camp in the last photo.

Just looked at this photo and that 5xl shirt is way too big nought some 3xl at camp, they're a little tight but will not be for long!

So just weighed myself here at home and I am at 345, that is half way to my goal of 220. Only 125 more pounds to loose. I need some new t shirts, the one I am wearing above is a 5XL Tall and way too loose around the neck. I bought some 3XL shirts at scout camp, they were a little snug but they had all of the past year shirts on sale, I bought two for six bucks!

Howdy all!
Vet: Awesome! Keep up the grind! Your pics from camp look great and a wonderful time! I used to be a scout leader and did the jamboree thing several times with my group...loads of fun!

Longhorn: wow man, you are getting close! Great job!

I have been struggling to keep OP but staying OP and true...its just been harder the past week but yet lost 5lbs last week and just passed the halfway point since starting IP. Thank God for zucchini noodles and spinach...haha...I am so NOT a veggie person! Well, learning to enjoy them though (at times) and that is also part of the "point" of this, I suppose.

Hope we all have a wonderful week!
Be safe out there!
