Thank YOU Pat for NOT putting that "ONLY" infront of your loss Great job...keep it going

Wayward and Port - I think it is fabulous that you both are staying strong in the face of your respective sleep deficits. Personally, I tend to shove more food in my mouth when I am tired. I always feel like it'll give me more energy . . . though it never does! I, too, know the sleep deprivation routine pretty well. Up until July, I had been pregnant and/or nursing for over 4 consecutive years . . . I figure being tired is just a way of life!!

Wayward - it is very true, but can be very frustrating especially when you are excited about something. I live in an area where most people I know are not that big into fitness (or nutrition, for that matter), and I am. I like to work out. I like to eat healthy. I am concerned about my last 10 pounds. I do care about my muscle mass, etc. I ask and ask and get lots of "no" in response when I ask people to join me for exercise. I have yet to find a consistent buddy that can really push me and vice versa. Having a diet and/or exercise buddy can really help. Having people around who look better than you or are more fit than you can also be very motivating. It is hard when you see people not taking care of themselves and you feel you know how to help them to help themselves, but then they don't. It is even harder to hear them complain about their state but do nothing about it!

That said, each person is different and not everyone enjoys it. Not everyone feels good/better doing the same things. I would love to change my mom's lifestyle choices right now because I fear for her health but no matter what I say, suggest etc. she has an answer for it and, more critically, doesn't have the drive/desire.

If you were referring to me (and I didn't take offense if you were), you are absolutely right that I clearly don't have the same self-control and commitment and motivation as you. I do envy it, but don't seem to have it and even with all the people telling me to stay strong and kick it out for 4 more weeks, I just seem to get in my own way every few days!!! Funny how all your actions belie your screenname as you are not Wayward at all. Perhaps it should be changed to Steadfast =)

I got off my butt and did 30 minutes of Jillian Michaels. Yay me! If the rain holds off, I am going to go weed my garden too!!

Pat - oh the dreaded C. I hope the supplements work for you. I have been having a very very difficult time with digestive issues this past week. So uncomfortable :/ Nearly half a pound is still a great loss and going in the right direction!!

As for the olive oil, I use some when making my lettuce stir fry as well (if i haven't had it elsewhere). I do use the recommended quantity but began to wonder if more wasn't cooking off than being digested . . . using it as a drizzle when I am done is probably a much better call!!

Wuv - glad that's "all" it was with the dog. Hope he's cheered soon!

Coliep... wasn't directed at you.
But I do have to remember that not everyone is the same so I don't want to feel like I am getting on people.

Wayward has been an online name of mine for the past 11 years, it actually started as Wayward Traveller in an online game and I have used that or some form of it ever since then as you can see from this:

But yes you are right in this instance.

Ah, so I see lol! Love the highlander, btw. We had to trade in our beloved Hannah the peal white highlander last year when we had #3. She was so pretty. And so not a minivan :/

Ok ..back at work..need about a dozen shots of coffee..sigh..not gonna happen..just going to sit here and do my job and wait for customers..no one tell anyone that i spiked the whip cream at work! lol...what i mean by that..is that we just opened and we have been experimenting with recipes and when it comes to the whip cream, we make up a canister of it with a shot glass of vanilla syrup for flavouring and sweetness..well the morning supervisor is totally against sugar free syrups altogether...and so when i asked if i could try a recipe out with the sugar free vanilla syrup in the whip cream she said no....cause it will taste grose..So i thought...hmmm...doesnt cater to dieters at all does it..or diabetics for that matter..sucky deal..cause you can cater coffees to diabetics and dieters but not the good ol whip cream..well she hasnt been here for the past 3 days..ive been covering for her.. so i (insert devil face) made up a new batch of whip cream and put a shot glass of the splenda sweetned vanilla syrup..mwahahaha...

And guess what??? It tastes exactly like WHIP CREAM! with Vanilla! There is no difference in taste between the two.. i even gave the big boss a try and he didnt notice either and he is a picky englishman..so ..may i offer anyone a sugar free caramal macchiato with a little whip on top??? lol

So i was discouraged about my weight losses today even though the scale lied..and in turn my DH came home and suprised me with some sugar free nestea Zero...a man after my own heart..he wanted to cheer me up..and it did..

Out of curiosity..anyone kicked themselves out of ketosis by having too much cream or milk products??? Cause in a sense.. i keep on craving really bad and i was hungry..so im just wondering if i kicked myself out of it or something?? By accident? Cause i use my 1 shot glass 1oz of dairy and mix it with hot water to make my coffee when i have one.. and occasionally add a little whip on top for good measure..and i do mean occasionally..as in ...not very own often..like maybe 1nc a week..do you know how hard it is to work in a cafe with chocolate and caramal syrups around?

Well heavy cream doesn't have carbs so even though it is not permitted on IP, I doubt that would kick you out of ketosis. Too much milk could but if its just the 1 ounce it should be ok. If in doubt, just don't use it. 1 ounce of milk isn't worth it!

isnt it crazy to think that our beloved whip cream that we love on top of sundaes and desserts and coffee is actually just liquid butter without the salt added to it? Isnt that grose?

O.k. really sore tonight. I think I pushed too hard today.
I didn't get enough sleep last night and I still came home and rode my bike and then I went early to walk so I could get a mile in before the guys got there since they have been wimping out at 4.
Well of course they wanted to do 5 so I ended up doing 6 miles.
I am sore....
Looking forward to the weigh-in since I will have done 50 miles since my last weigh in.
School started today and all the students all back.... need to get to sleep.
Have a great night ladies.. Heather stay strong tonight.
Good night
