oooook... so i ordered some new stuff today.. i think maybe i was in need of a food change up..been eating chocolate pudding for far too long, which i think might be giving me some diet woes..i often forget how necessary it is to change up what you eat. i ordered some hot chocolate and going to try the cheescake pudding and going to try the veggie cheese omelet and try the strawberry banana jello..that should be a nice change! and going to try a yougurt berry crispy bar..see how that goes over!

I think i needed a change.. i think thats why ive been in a diet slump! been staring at my chocolate pudding too long!

Port - When I want salt and crunch (i.e. when I have the munchies), I do the romaine stir fry and season it with the real sea salt. Lettuce is unlimited so it is guilt free. You can use your olive oil here too for a little of the grease and filling fat! Oh, and the kale chips are really really yummy! I actually have trouble limiting my quantity on those . . . could eat the whole bunch! Very "chip" like once prepared!

I had a decent day today - yay me! I made a romaine stir fry instead of reaching for the peanut butter and survived lol!! I used to have diet hot chocolate at night for my treat and I miss it. The one I used to buy was just swiss miss or something - made with splenda, 25 cals, 3 carbs. Anybody know of a better option? Chocolate tea hasn't been as tasty for me but is IP . . .

Good evening everyone!
Wow so many topics. I seem to only be able to log on every 2nd, 3rd day lol....
Port so funny I am also starting up classes on September 6th and getting my BSW. I work full time so will be taking 2 classes a semester. Short one course to have 2 years done! I have my Social Work Diploma but really want to get my bachelor degree. I'm scared out of my mind. Been so long since I've studied.....I registered on Thursday night and as I was walking to my car thought: "are you crazy,,44 yrs old and back to school! I have one daughter starting her 3rd year University and my youngest is a senior in high school.

OH YA........LOST ANOTHER 2LBS THIS WEEK FOR A TOTAL OF 25LBS FOR MY FIRST MONTH So exciting.....Yay
Find it hard at times but so worth it. Trying to take it one day at a time. I haven't been on the site often but I really enjoy reading the comments. I find it to be a great support:
Wishing everyone a great week, Keep on keeping on

Quick question.....
What is this Bic Mac Salad I've been reading about? I didn't think we could have thousand island dressing? Is this from IP? It just sounds so good, so if it's allowed I'd like to know what it is.
thanks

Congrats on the 2lbs and what a great month you have had...keep it going. I am 45 Michelle and just graduated with my associate so it CAN BE DONE. Like you said take it one day at a time
We can have WF(walden farms) thousand island dressing or the one that Jordanna makes, but not the REAL thousand island

Ok, new to the IP protocol. I have visited my library and witnessed the librarian shrinking away and I finally had to ask her what she has been doing. I am so glad I asked, because I am on Day 4 and feel so much better all ready. I just wished I would have asked her months ago so I could have started and been to my goal already. I guess it's all in God's time. Love this forum and very helpful to know I am not alone since I opted out of going to a clinic since I live too far away.

Oh, and my husband has been enjoying all the veggies I have been cutting up and cooking. I guess it is good for both of us :-)

You took that first step and now you and your hubby are on the correct path. Welcome and enjoy the boards!

Wow so much has transpired, but much of it has been addressed.
Welcome to all the new people, welcome to the group.

Heather if you stick to plan you can lose 10 pounds in 30 days no problem.
My wife was sick this week and didn't do any walking and she still lost 5 and she is smaller than you.
She has actually lost 10 pounds in the past 2 weeks just sticking to plan.
She actually hit her first mini-goal this week and is now under 200 pounds.
I am going to come up a little short this week on my mileage.
My feet have been really bothering me so just walking, but I did get my new Brooks Beast shoes in today so hopefully that will help with my foot pain.

I set a goal of 100 miles this month and I almost reached it in 2 weeks though so I know I pushed it a little hard.

Heather, I have confidence in you that you can do it, and it sounds like your DH is finally starting to help you stay more motivated, good for him.
We are here, just some not as much as others, this was a weird week for me though.
The little one is still sick but he is coming along.
Take care everyone and stay strong.
Good night.

I agree with Wayward, Heather, IF you stick to program you can do this. WE have confidence in YOU. If your DH threw out all of the stuff you can't have that should help you a lot. BUT.....YOU have to want to do it, sounds like you do SOOOOOO YOU can DO IT! I have been losing about 2lbs a week and stay 100% so you should be able to lose more than that! Put your mind to it and get it done!
