Day 15 here and didn't have a big loss for WI #2 is this normal?

I am packing to go away for a women's retreat this weekend. I am very excited, but a little anxious. I have packed everything I need for the weekend. I just need to remind myself how awesome the results will be if I stay on track!

Hello guys & gals!

This has been a pretty good week for me, IP-wise, and I have done a major clean up in my closet!!! Everything that is now too big is out of there! Never to be seen again! I've never had the courage to do such a "clean up" before, cause I always kept clothes "in case I'd need it again" :dizzy:

But... NO MORE! Every pound shed is never going to return again! I have decided and that is it!

Problem now is... that I'm losing weight pretty quickly... I can't imagine buying new clothes every few weeks, to wear for just a small amount of time. That's silly! So if anyone out there who is also changing rapidly, please share what you are doing! I'd really appreciate it, & I'm sure everyone will find these tips/suggestions helpful.

Down 20 lbs! yay me! & YAY EVERYONE ELSE on here!!

:dust:

Hi,
I am done with the diet and have lots of IP packets left. Would anyone want to buy them? I will sell them for a cheaper price than regular. Let me know if anyone is interested.

I would be very interested in buying them? What's your cost and shipping?

I tried having some with stevia but it wasn't the same. I had to choke down my tuna for supper. OMG, I really don't like tuna, I forgot how much. I feel good and I'm off to bed. I work night shifts a lot. If anyone has any advice on shift workers, let me know please? I work 12 hour shifts and half of them are nights. Tough going into a day from a night because you either lose or gain a day. Sleep is very disrupted too.
Well, goodnight all. Reading all these posts has really inspired me. After taking my pictures yesterday I just wanted to cry! You guys are all so determined!

I am on day three of IP!
Pre-IP, I was so used to having a cup of hot tea with SUGAR every morning. I have never been a fan of artificial sweetner in my tea. I bought a box of "TRUVIA" sweetener because I had a coupon for it and I thought that if I didn't like it, I wouldn't be out much $$.
I must say that I REALLY like it....surprised myself! When I had my tea this morning, I didn't even think about it having something other than sugar added.

I read some consumer reviews on TRUVIA vs. PUREVIA, both are from the Stevia plant, and most people say they like the Truvia much better and that the PureVia leave a bitter aftertaste.

I guess I got lucky when I bought that particular one. Maybe you can try it and see if you like it better.

About the headaches, the first two days, as soon as I felt a slight headache coming on, so I took one pain reliever to ward off a severe headache, and that worked well for me!

Re: tuna......do you like chicken breast better? That's what I've been having, and it's awesome!

I have received SO MUCH help by reading the recipes that others have posted in the IP forums. It's worth your time to check them out for ideas!

I'm going to try the turnip chips at dinner tonight. I turned my nose up when I first read that one, but so many seem to like them, so I'll give it a "whirl"

Good Luck with your new IP eating! :)

Define "didn't have a big loss". Do you mean you only lost one pound or do you mean you lost 7 lbs but you lost 14 lbs your first weigh in and you wanted to lose that much this week?

There are a lot of factors that play in to your weigh ins. Time of day. Hormones/time of month. Did you eat and take 3lbs of vitamins before weigh in? Have you cheated (I'm sure you haven't but it could be a factor for some people). What did you wear. This diet works really well so if you have a bad weigh in one week you will probably have a great one the next week.

So glad the little guy is home. Good job yesterday sticking to protocol.

Why not make your own milkshakes out of the puddings in the blender with ice. Or make a frozen pin a colada. Make sure not to use a straw!

Get every vegetable that is allowed that you can have. You can get creative on week 2. Just know that if you have your before weight today, and then carbo load over the weekend before starting the diet on Monday like a lot of people do, your first weigh in will not be as dramatic. You'll throw the numbers off. Make sure to get a new weight Monday morning before you actually start if you want to see the big drop.

What do you have?

How exciting! You're not supposed to say congratulations to the bride so I'll say YAY!! Instead.

I did the novi cleanse because my weight loss was stalled and I was having a lot of problems with C. The cleanse worked like a laxative. I had no problems with it but once I was finished it the C was back. Then the nurse put me on a daily regimen of 1 digestive enzyme plus 2 novilax plus 1 vitamin c 500mg at breakfast and dinner. I haven't had a problem with C since. If the cleanse is because you are having digestive issues, you may want to try just the novilax first to save the money.

I was told measure the veggies BEFORE cooking, the meat AFTER cooking, and only fresh tuna is allowed because of the sodium.

what do you mean don't use a straw? why?:?:

cycling your phases

For those of you with >60 lbs to lose (I have 80...maybe 100), did you stay in phase 1 the whole time, or did you set intermediate stages and cycle out to phase 4 and then start up again? This is what I've planned with my coach so that I don't get overwhelmed and defeated with the big goal--20 lb chunks seem more attainable.
But I'm worried how long will this prolong my whole process? I tend to be a run/walk kind of person rather than a long slow jog. How hard is it mentally to "keep in the game" for (maybe) a year?

Just read the post posted thus far today. I have to go to work shortly, maybe I'll time to respond tonight. Just do what you know to do today. Hope all of you have a great day. Judy

my friend in denver is doing 20 lbs at a time and then phasing off for a few months in between, and i am doing it straight through. this is a tough question. my friend has been on IP since december and she lost her first 20 and phased off in january. to date she has lost about 27 lbs. i started in january and have lost 38 lbs. so staying on is definitely quicker. i've heard that it's really hard to start up again after you have phased off (just ask some of the ladies on this board and they will tell you how difficult it has been to get back on the horse). while i do agree with my friend's reasoning for doing the plan this way (she thinks she will be able to keep it off better in the long run if she loses it slower), i think it might be better to do larger increments than 20 lbs. the weight goes so quickly that you could easily do it in rounds of 40 lbs. (about 3 months of phase 1, 3 months in the other 3 phases, repeat). you might be really surprised at how quickly you lose that 80-100 lbs if you stay on plan straight through. like i said, i've been on plan for only 9 weeks and i have lost almost 40 lbs. my goal is 75 lbs and i'm already half way there! i estimate that i should be done by june. it's really not that bad if you think about how long it actually took you to put the weight on. for me it took 29 years to get as heavy as i was, but only 6 months to get thin. not a bad trade-off.

Usually first week is a big number and after that smaller numbers. You should see the loss in inches too. I stalled week 4-5 but week six was better. If your are 100% OP. Your body will know what to do. Stick with it because the program really works. Happy weekend.

Hi nerdigrrl,

I decided to stay right through, it will be a year for me in May. My goal is to reach 150 or 1 year then phase off. If I haven't reached my goal, I plan to go back after a few months. I know if I had done the phase on/phase off I wouldn't have phased back on.
In the end, you have to do what is right for you.

You're not allowed to use a straw when you have wisdom teeth out. You could pull out the clotting and get dry socket. It has nothing to do with ip.
