Have a great IP day everyone, this works (not for me right now ), I can wait!

I just went through this. I had no movement from Dec 23 - Jan 15th. Then finally this week it started moving, and LOTS! I am down 4 pounds since my WI and WI isn't until tomorrow!
Stick with it. Change things up. Have lunch for breakfast and lunch for supper and breakfast for lunch.
You get what I mean. Try some alteration. Go back and read your journal and follow Week 1 to a T.

Good Luck!

WI #2 today. Little bit nervous as my scale at home has not really moved in 3 days. Not sure why as I am only 11 days into IP. I have not cheated and followed protocol. The only thing I know I could do better at is measure my oil intake a bit better. Feeling great though.

Heres to all and a 100% IP day! We can do it.

Good morning beautiful people!!! ;)

This morning I was late and I forgot to take my "thinning" pills (that's what I like to call them) with me!!!!!!
All my vitamins for this morning...do you think I should just take the ones with my supper or take both tonight...will it be too much?

I usually put a week's worth in a plastic carry on but I forgot last night with everything that is going on!!!

Anywho...I was reading on Dr. Tran's site and I got inspired and kept reading over and over again..and I decided that I was going to put in on my mirror on my closet so I will see it every morning! Here it is :

"When you go on a diet, you have the courage to decide that you are going to accept yourself and stop beating yourself up. If you do not make that decision, you might just spend your life at the train station, waiting and waiting. But what are you waiting for? You’re waiting to take charge of your life. You must ask yourself a crucial question: “Am I finally going to decide to accept myself the way I am or am I going to continue to let life pass me by and even have negative thoughts about myself?”

Good morning all,

Question of the day
: Is anyone else getting sick of hearing how unhealthy this and it is bad for us to eat protein and lose weight?

My coworkers are driving me nuts! constantly asking what i'm eating, or poking fun of what i'm not eating etc. of course when i tell them the rate at which i am losing they go into orbit!

The way i see it is this- i am eating more nutrition now than i was. 4 cups veggies a day, greens, lean proteins, vitamins and water. sure, maybe less calories, but overall way more nutrition. it's got to be good for your body compared to the pastries, chips and big macs, we all know that, right?

anyone care to chime in on this one?

have a great day all!

W2 last night...Down another 6lbs! thats 12.6 in 2 weeks! I love this program!

My coach game me the detox prgram last night to start today. Has anyone done the Novi Cleanse. I'm worried about how my body will react to the "cleanse" as I'm not having any problem right now "cleansing". I do understand that it's more about the Detox of my system, I just wanted to hear what other might have experienced from it.
Thanks
Jamie

I forget to take my pills all the time, I just take them all at dinner. My coach said this is fine as long as I take them.

I work in health care and heard this over and over, IN FACT, I was one of these chirpers over a year ago.
NOW....most of those ladies are on this diet, INCLUDING me!
It's what we feel, its what we think. We are taking the steps to a better healthier us. Unless they research it and learn about it, they have no idea what it is about.

And no one said it better than Dave

The skeptics can kiss my steadily shrinking butt!

Have a great day!

Thanks you!!! I will take them tonight!!! And that will probably take 1L of water by itself haha

CONGRATS on your weight loss!!! :carrot:
I loved doing the detox the first time I did it. I lost weight and you feel good :)

Can pickled okra in a jar be eaten on phase 1? I have not looked at the lable, but would think you might be able to if you can eat pickles from a jar which are pickled cucumbers. As long as it was 0/0/0 it would be ok right?

Congrats on the awesome work!!! I have my second WI Friday...so excited!!

Can't wait to see what you lose! You've been doing great...was kinda wondering about you the last day or so. I had cut calories to 1500 and started exercising, but I just really wasn't into it. I kept making excuses, and now I really am committed to IP.

I've been on this diet just over 3 months (since October 15). As of today's weigh-in I've lost 42 pounds, 7 inches in my chest, 5 in my waist, 5 in my hips, 1.5 in my arms, and 2 in my thighs.

Awesome! Congratulations, but don't let the loss with cheating reinforce the behavior! That's something I struggle with, and didn't lose anything (actually gained) on week two.

I hope everyone had a great day. I did! My day 3 was wonderful (day 2 of TOM so I am REALLY HAPPY!)

Hopefully tomorrow or the next day I will see some great scale movement!

Sad note, my uncle died this past weekend and Saturday we will be having his funeral. That means, I won't be around here very much that day.

Well, I am going to open a thread for tomorrow. Maybe Sheila (aka eatants) would like a break?

Night all!

Carla, I am saddened to hear about your uncle, but know that his life must have been greatly enriched by having you in it. Just here, to virtual strangers, you are so generous and compassionate.

Congratulations on getting through day 3! Thanks for starting the thread today!

So, I thought I would bring it up just in case. We have many new women on the forum and diet right now. I am curious how many of you have read, heard from others, or heard from your coach that Ideal Protein adjusts your hormones in some instances. Have you also heard that it will mess with your birth control??

YEP! That's right. It has made BC (birth control) less than effective in many cases. It also will cause break through bleeding and spotting.

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/idea...ontrol-ip.html

I was NOT told this! Thank you. I was wondering why I got TOM TWICE(!!!) this month when I'm normally very, um, normal. :D As for the birth control, Ladies...be careful when you BCBC! (brown chicken brown cow, aka bowchickabowwow...you know what I'm talking about here!)

DOLLARNME....u asked if I eat the same stuff every day...I AM a creature of habit so I do tend to have the same protein drinks morning and afternoon..and usually a pudding at night....I have started experimenting w my dinners to spice it up a bit...

THIS is one of my mini-goal rewards! I used to work for VS and loved all my pretty sets, then I outgrew them. I got mad one day and tossed them, so I will buy all NEW pretty sets when I get to goal!
I'm also a creature of habit, and tend to eat/drink the same thing everyday. I'm a little worried that eventually my body will get used to it, but then I'll just change things up. As for right now, it's working wonderfully for me! 15 pounds in three weeks and tight shorts falling off! :carrot:

Regarding my post about my coach and the girl that decided to quit. I need to clarify, my coach is fabulous and not against giving out this forum website. She told me she was going to go on it and read all of the posts as well. She is also on the IP program and I told her about the threads with all of the recipes.

The members on this forum are the best group of people that I've ever come across and it's such a wealth of combined knowledge, it blows me away.

One question. I thought I read way back in November that we can weigh our protein (fish, chicken, beef, etc) after it's cooked. I'm going to have to weigh before and after to see what the difference really is.

I gave my coach the link to our forum (yes, OUR, taking ownership, lol). He was pleased to know there's such a strong support group and likes the knowledge I'm gaining. I know they like the money, but I find they're really interested in getting us healthy!
As to the weighing, I did that and found it's about an ounce difference. For my body, that doesn't have an impact, but for others it might! Do what works for you!

I'm not a diabetic, but :bravo: for starting IP despite obstacles! Welcome!

I forget my vitamins ALL the time! I take them all with supper, when my six-year-old reminds me that we have to take our vitamins together. Get them in, and you'll be ok.
What a wonderful quote! Thank you for sharing. This is exactly how I feel.

Let us know how the cleanse works, please! I'm curious, but kind of a chicken. Congratulations on your loss!

Pumped up to start Week 4! I can't believe so much time has passed already and I love the way I feel. Thanks for the support, ya'll. The sense of community really helps.
