Meggie - I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. She is a beautiful young lady (gorgeous smile). From the picture it sure looks like she has a positive attitude. She and your family are in my thoughts.
Meggie, Praying that you and your lovely daughter are surrounded by God's love and light. May the love of family and friends (even here on IP!) give you strength.
Has anyone else been having cramps in their feet at night? When I lie down the cramps start. I am going to try having more calcuim. Any other ideas?
I don't know if you got RealSalt from your coach, but if you read their blog they say the salt will help cramping. Try 1/2 to 1 teaspoon in a glass of water and see if that helps.
If you didn't get the salt, you can buy it online or from Whole Foods.
Meggie....Your daughter is beautiful. I am so sorry to hear of her diagnosis. My love to you all, and positive thoughts and energy are being sent your way.
You are all so kind. Thank you so much. Your thoughts and prayers mean a great deal. Calgarygirl, it's good to see you here. I think about you often and wonder how you're doing. My prayers are with your family as well.
I'll keep you girls updated on Kiara. She got the results of her lymph node biopsies yesterday--one cancerous node out of eight taken. It's actually good news and indicates we caught it early. She starts her chemo on Thursday - 16 weeks, then surgery, then more chemo, then radiation, then tamoxifen for 5 years. It will be a long haul, but she is a tough cookie.
Very very grateful for your prayers and support. XOXOXOX
Hi, I haven't been able to get on this cite for hours. Anyone else have problems? Meggie, I know how heart-wrenching this must be, and your putting such a good face on. Keep sharing, OK?
On totally different ground. . . . I was *****ing to my "coach" this morning about having gained an inch around my waist. What gives with that? Anyway she, metaphorically, waved her hand in dismissal and said "the longer it takes to lose weight the longer it stays off." Do you think she's making that up, or that there is some truth in it?
Linden, is it possible that the measurement was at a different spot? Sometimes I -- yes a total pain avoider -- consider getting little dot tattoos to ensure the measurement is done at the same place. I've never heard your coach's little folk wisdom before and I'm more than a little skeptical.

I'm with you on tatto avoidance and the "folk wisdom." [My son asked me once what tattoo I'd get if I had to get one. I demurred; he persisted. So I told him I'd get the dot in dot.com. Fortunately, neither of us is a tattoo person.]

Totally morbid ... I've joked that when I reach a certain age I'm going to tattoo DNR on my torso. I'm not sure I'm joking that much.
