So, i think the bottom line is that once we are truly ready to lose weight we will; but if we are not, it probably won't happen. We have to find it within ourselves to do it and to do it right! |

Shrinking Susie - I used the Body Mass Index to decide on a final weight. Also, I was in the 140s in my size 8 wedding dress years ago so I knew I wanted to be back there at least. You can always adjust as you go along. I am really not 100% sure what my final weight should be.
Novak I love your description of the last weight/inches kind of falling off. Hope to get there soon.AND your sister and you and the ketosis clean out story made me laugh out loud!! Maybe your sister and you could come to my house??? Pookee- If I really wanted to try to stay on the IP protocol and had terrible stomach pains, I would try the New Zealand whey protein that my endocrinologist recommended. It would be interesting to see if it helps at all. You could do phase 1 as described by IP but substitute the whey for the IP food 3 times a day. Just a thought... |

I took my dogs to the vet today for their shots, heartworm and a weigh in... My oldest dog weighs exactly 15.8... and that's how much I have lost so far. I thought it was pretty funny. So now I can pick him up and feel what I used to be carrying around all the time!! :)

see how much I've lost. She is a BIG dog! We just have no idea what we have done to ourselves until we finally make some changes. So you go girl! |
Holy cow, take a few days off for a long holiday weekend and it takes just as long to catch up on all the posts! Sounds like everyone survived the 4th & Canada Day, that's great. I'm so proud of us!! :carrot:
Official weigh in #5 is tomorrow, but I'm getting to be such a scale hopper in between weigh ins. Does anyone remember that little diddy in a Wheel of Fortune commercial - probably from the early 90's that went something like...I'm a Wheel Watcher, oh I'm a Wheel Watcher...:dancer:well I changed the words to Scale Hopper and am singing it when I wake up in the morning. Very odd, since I've never been a morning person, but now I'm bolting out of bed and singing every morning on my way to the scale. My husband has serious concerns for my mental health.:dizzy: |
Hey everyone,
Just checkin in to see how my fellow IPers are...the next few weeks are crazy busy for me and i wont get alot of chances to pop on and post alot :( So my update is I am playing with the same 2 pounds for the last 2 weeks. Up two, down two. Its not a gain which is awesome and since Im not in ketosis anymore Im happy to maintain since my new wedding dress is big on me and they have advised me not to lose much more or this dress may not be able to be altered without ruining the integrity of it. I have switched to the alternative plan phase 1 as it allows me to add a fruit and a dairy into my day and it seems to make my body happy with all the hard working out Im doing. Its my first week doing it so lets see if it allows me to break the plateau. I am going to be doing this plan until the wedding and then kick starting back to Phase 1 regular plan to lose the last 40 pounds. To be honest it is easier and since I have menu testing, cake testing, wine testing, my shower, stag and doe and bachlorette all this summer it will allow me the freedom to enjoy these a little bit more freely and not be risking my health by going in and out of ketosis (which is sooo bad) I am soon going to be starting to see my own clients at our clinic and Im really excited about it. I cant wait to share this amazing lifestyle with others and see them suceed and begin to love their bodies like I am learning to love mine. Have a great evening everyone and keep up the awesome work, you are all soooo inspiring. smoochies....KimAnn |

first consult tomorrow -- maybe a weigh in
I'll be meeting with the coach who's most convenient to me tomorrow. If I think I can work with her, I'll be downing my first IP packet late Thursday or on Friday morning.
In preparation, I ate low-carb today and will tomorrow. I'd prefer to go through the grim days 3 + 4 on the weekend when I don't have to be "on the ball." Thanks to RockyMonarch & SmilinDi for their welcome in another thread! Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and what they've learned. I feel really empowered for this consult tomorrow. |

Hi all!!
My wireless router was zapped by lightning yesterday and I missed you all last night!! As soon as I got off work tonight, I made a b-line for Best Buy and am back in business! So, I was down two ounces and after my day on Sunday, I thought that was okay. I was updating my #'s on the 20 lb. challenge and happened to see a couple of people who started out where my goal is and still want to loose more than I need to loose to get where they are starting. I think that is sorta funny. I always think it is funny when someone the size I want to be thinks they are huge and fat, etc. and always wonder to myself what they really think of me and my size. I know we are all comfortable at different sizes, it just always makes me think about it awhile. Well, now I'm off to catch up on what all of you have been up to since I was zapped and out of commission. |

I was scared too. I have been in Phase 4 for almost 2 weeks now and have not gained at all. It's still everything in moderation, I had gained .2 oz on my 7 day vacation and that was eating pizza, nachos and spaghetti to name a few carbs. Since I've been home and following the Phase 4 protocol I have lost that and then some. I have lost 2.2 lbs since Sunday. I'm sure alot of it was water, but I am at my goal and maintaining. The shocking thing is that you really want to eat good still. I don't crave all the junk and when you actually get to eat it you feel kind of crappy later. I had such a gut ache after I ate pizza and it was only one piece. I guess we ease back into things. I am going to have my cheat day this weekend and am a little apprehensive about that. I'll try and post how that goes. Its good to see all of you. BTW!!!! Look at my signature tracker:) Pretty exciting!!! |
