The truth is that most people are more concerned with their own bodies than anyone else's... they just see you as you. Then, when you lose weight, they eventually notice that you look different... they may not even know why.
Here on the boards, we're all engaged in the same general activity, so we're more tuned into the process. We're still focused primarily on our own weight loss, but I am in awe of you and others who have taken on challenges even greater than my own, which was no picnic! This process takes tremendous strength, and not everyone has the fortitude to stick with it. You guys are my heroes... truly.

That's funny you should say "most people are concerned with their own bodies", I continue to tell my mom similar things, I need to be practicing what I preach...LOL!
You are awesome Novak! :D

I read this morning that studies show that women lose a lot more weight with support from other people. So thanks everyone for all of the kind words over the past 5 months.
Oh and YES I am celebrating going from a BMI that was "obese" to now "overweight"29.7

Well, I'm a failure. I cheated last night and now I'm out of ketosis. :(
I had a meeting with my music producer last night in the Domain at a swanky restaurant. I did very well just drinking my water and nothing else. Then he gave me some really good news and insisted that we get a celebratory glass of champagne. Yeah well....I didn't finish it, but the glass wasn't full at the end of the night either.
Good thing today is a new day and hopefully ketosis is right around the corner again. How long does it take to get back into it once you stupidly put yourself out of it?

There is no failure in falling off the horse as long as you are willing to get back on. Don't be so hard on yourself!!

Lately it seems whatever can go wrong will go wrong. My husband hurt his back right before his brothers wedding needless to say he was not his usual life of the party self at the wedding. Then on Tuesday I left work to go to the gym and someone liked my gym bag and decided to smash the drivers rear window to get it ... so much for going to the gym ... no car... no gym clothes.
I love reading all your posts as they make me smile and help keep me sane.
Thanks for listening (reading)

I used to work in the Portrait Studio at Wal*Mart as a photographer, and I was worse then than I am now. And trust me, I'm a little fattie ;) Years of pageants tought me to photograph very well, but I'll upload the picture I took for my before shot. You won't even recognize me. My icon pic is current, and me--since TAB3319 is my boss she can vouch for that--but it's only my face. And it's all made up :o
You two need to find someone your own age and leave ME and MY BOYFRIEND alone!! Haha
When you come up north for your husband to get the swatting, you two should see me too :D

Maybe you could give me some photo tips then, how do I pose and keep my double chin a secret?? LOL!!!
Also, if you keep making fun of Erin and I for our age and keep trying to steal our man, she's gonna come up here, we are gonna drive to Arky, and we are gonna swat YOUR fanny! And believe me, we'll be good and warmed up for it as we will have given her hubby a good swatting before hand! Wathc out little missy!! :p
