Well, its Day 2 and I'm feeling much better. My headache is gone and I don't feel quite as hungry. I didn't eat the extra packet yesterday like they said I could. I hope that isn't bad I haven't tasted a packet yet that I don't like. I'm a little scared of the Crispy Cereal, it just seems so wrong to add water. Any opinions on that one?

Carlasherea; Welcome!!

I can't handle the cereal - way too watery for me. I like I read somewhere that one of the members put some of the white premixed white drink into it to make it more edible.

I find all the drinks too sweet and seem to have a funny taste (although into my second week they don't seem as bad anymore), and add about an extra 50 ml or more of water to them.

I want to try the chicken soup, but scared too. I don't like cream soups too much and if I don't like it then I'm stuck with the rest of the box.

Good Luck!

Good morning all!

Yesterday was challenging for me as I had a staff lunch where they order food. I had confided in my office manager and told what I needed, so just ordered a garden salad and brought some WF dressing from home. Problem was i forgot to take my morning supplements and didn't save salt for lunch. Not good. I got a headache that I knew was from the lack of salt, so went in pursuit of some salt which I put in a little water and drank. Just like magic, my headache was gone shortly. I had a premixed drink in my office afterwards too.

I have had a hard time figuring out how to use the crepe or pancake mixes very successfully. I was trying to use a flat griddle like for regular pancakes, but they would just run all over and then be a gooey mess when I tried to turn them. Today I finally took out a small nonstick 8" pan and cooked it there and it was much better. The crepe was thicker and I could turn it. Any other ideas?

First week newbies- Congrats on your first losses. That is great! I am only in my second week, so know how excited you must be to weigh in. I was!
KimmAnn- I am in the same place as I had about an 8# loss my first week and now this week so far no loss. I think our bodies just need to adjust and it will come off if we follow the program.
CinnamonSparkles- So great to be to, and past your goal.
WyoSun- Great losses in lbs and inches. You are just a little ahead of me, as next Tues will be my 2nd WI
LJHA- I was scared of the cereal too, but it was better than I thought it would be. Creamy taste. Your tastes change as you go along, and things taste good that you wouldn't have touched before! I put my select veggies in my soups to thicken them up.

carlasherea - I didn't like the cereal when i first tasted it - but i added an extra bit of water and it was edible - let it sit for a while and the "rice krispies" tend to soften up. Now after being on this diet for a while, i find i really like the cereal - tastes change.

yinyang - i also had trouble cooking the pancakes and crepes in the beginning and then my coach gave me some tips i'll pass along. use a non-stick pan and spray a bit of pam in the pan. let the pan get hot. pour in the crepe/pancake mix. most importatnt step is to be patient and don't flip it too soon. once it's brown on the bottom, flip. if you want the crepe crispy, flip more than once. you can roll up with jam, veggies, etc and use as a wrap.

I have had the Chicken soup 2 days in a row now and really like it. I add 1/4 t of sea salt and some pepper. I also put some steamed broccoli in it and it tasted good. I add more water because its too thick the way they say to prepare it, but I think you should definetely try it.

I survived the pizza though!!! filled up on salad and allowed myself a few tomatoes and raw onions that came with it. I've been staying away from them as they are veggies to have only once or twice a week according to the list I was given, this was a special treat, and only had a few pieces of each!!!
Hi, Babs, My sheet says onions (raw only) are in the select group. You just can't have them cooked.

Hi, Carla, I actually like the Crispy Cereal. It has powdered milk products in it so when you add the water, it actually tastes and looks like cereal with milk.

Hi, again, Carla, I forgot to tell you that I sprinkle Stevia on top as well as cinnamon. The two together give it a better flavor. But then I have quite a sweet tooth.

Hi, yinyang, I'm not sure but it sounds like you might be trying to cook one big crepe. I always cook 4 small crepes instead. Be sure to preheat your pan and spray with a bit of PAM so they don't stick.

Babs...my sheet says onions are fine. I always put them in my salad. I also add a few when I am stir frying veggies. They just add a nice taste. I also put some in the meatloaf the other night. I think you need to be careful about carmelizing them.
Also, can't you just buy individual packets on things you want to try? My coach lets us try things that way. She also has a lot of the WF dressings and such in the fridge and we can taste them, too.
Has anyone used chicken broth in the soup? One cup has one carb and .5 of trans fat, so I thought if I used 1/2 cup broth and the rest water? What do you think? cheating or not??? That might also make the Leek soup a little more tolerable for those that do not like it.
