Good Morning! I just have a quick question? When did you start seeing some weight coming off? Been at it since Wednesday and haven't really seen any changes? I know I just started and maybe my body is just trying to adjust but was curious

nayla-Thanks! As far as weight loss...I'm not sure since I haven't been at it for very long yet! Really excited to see people's answers though.

patpat-you're life is so interesting! It sounds like you've really gone through a lot, but have this awesome positive attitude

wvuchick-That sounds like a tough commute :/ But it seems like IF is really working for you! You can do it this time! What are your tattoos of?

I'm at my fiance's for the weekend. The week of piano camp h*ll is finally done! I was seriously delirious by the end of yesterday. I managed to not eat too much though. Still stayed below maintenance and did 30min on the bike, plus running around all day for camp. I think I managed to stay within my window, or at least close to staying in it.
I'm really aiming for a lot of exercise this weekend, I missed exercising while doing camp. I also really want to start 5:2 this week. Its what I wanted to start with originally and this past week there were definitely a couple days I really considered just going for it, but I really wanted to give 16:8 two weeks before trying 5:2. I'll decide this weekend I guess

Ladies! So excited! I think I may have been retaining water!(tmi but I'm ovulating as well ) I came back from my run and football/cheer practice with the kids soaked in sweat and even after drinking water before my shower I weighed myself again and was down to 156.8! Yay! I even stepped off and reset the scale to make sure and same! So excited

Sorry I keep posting updates here I'm just so excited this is working for me! I wish I would have checked this thread out sooner I haven't lost anymore weight (I'm barely a week in so the 3lbs I lost already seems a miracle!) but I feel like I'm slowly regaining control! I did slip a few days and eat outside of my window BUT I felt I had complete control instead of mindlessly eating whatever I wanted. LOL there is a big difference between having a slice of toast, wedge of cheese, or piece of fruit as opposed to stuffing my face full of potato chips, having second helpings of supper into the night. I'm still learning so much and have been reading through the old threads. I think it's great that everyone kind of has their own "thing" they do with this. I'm sorry I'm still getting used to the format of how you post this but my window is 10-6 for eating. Since I'm just starting I'm starting with the bigger window and as I gain control will probably narrow it and adjust it. I also noticed since I set up my window I slowed down on my eating a lot! I'm actually savoring my food instead of quickly consuming it! I know I'm just starting but my goodness this feels like a wonderful start!

nayla-Awesome!

vealcalf-Glad its going so well I too feel so much more control since doing this! Give it time and the weight will come off.

Made an epic dinner last night! I was so surprised though at how much my appetite has shrunk! I was sure the first week that it was just temporary and would quickly disappear but actually my appetite is decreasing further! So fascinating I ate about 1/2 of what I would normally eat last night and was stuffed. For lunch I didn't eat much either. The hunger was extremely manageable as well. Very happy with this.
Today I'm eating outside my window bc me and my fiance are going to Knotts Berry Farm and don't want to eat there so I'll need to eat at home before to keep up my energy throughout the day I plan on being very sensible with portions still and of course will be doing a lot of walking.

Today was crappy eating day... At a birthday party with not many choices, but only ate during my window. My calorie intake still between 1200 and 1500. I did include the half slice of cake I had... It was homemade and to die for lol hope I don't pay for it.

I do have to agree that appetite does shrink! Once I do start to eat I can't finish my meals. Hoping for a great week!

Good Morning!

Boo! Definitely paying for it today! I woke up with swollen fingers, so I'm sure it's the crappy food and glass of wine I had I forgot about that! Gah... well, moving forward. Still shooting for a great week!

Nayla - It can take a couple weeks for your body to adjust. You're doing great and at 1200-1500 calories it is def not fat you gained!

Dottington - My tattoos are (in order) a sun on my ankle (got in 1997, thinking about updating it), a cross on the inside of my left wrist, "Faith" on the top of my left wrist, a WV alumni in blue and gold on my right shoulder blade, and Jane Austen quote on my right forearm surrounded by filigree border. Planning on getting many more.

I had an ok weekend. Our festival plans were interrupted by a neighbor one night and rain the next so I didn't get to parttake of any carny foods so I guess that's a good thing. Definitely ready to get back to my work day routine. Its so much easier for me to fast during the week!

Have a great Monday all!

Lorie - thank you so much for the encouragement. I was disappointed this morning, but after my lemon water with cayenne pepper all is good! My fingers are no longer swollen, so I hope that helped. I've had two cups of coffee with splash of milk (I've read it's ok) as I needed it. Crap food gives me crap energy. I should know better!

nayla-glad the swelling is down and sounds like you learned an important lesson about how food effects you

wvuchick-Very cool Are you a big Jane Austen fan? What is the quote you have? I just have one tattoo of a brightly colored keyboard on my forearm.

Well I had a super fun day yesterday. But eating was bad. I did not handle eating out of my window well AT ALL. My fiance had convinced me it was necessary but I've learned my lesson and know that I need a lot of structure or I won't handle myself well. But I'm not stressing about it too much because it was a special day and I did at least walk 6 miles yesterday while at Knott's.
I've decided to give 5:2 a go and make today my fast day. Hopefully that will take off some water weight from yesterday for my weigh-in tomorrow.

Hi ladies,

I enjoyed reading about everyone! I also feel old, ha!

I don't have much time right now, but wanted to at least check in. I've been really struggling this past week with PMS symptoms. I think I did better eating than this when I was on vacation! But TTOM finally started, so hopefully I'll see some weight come off soon, and my appetite go down!! I've already had to have a little fix today before my eating window, but at least I limited it to one chocolate square instead of a full-on kitchen buffet.

Dottington--Good luck with 5:2 today, I hope it goes well!

Hey Dorothy - I had to search for what 5:2 is since I've seen it commented on so much lately. Are you going to combine it with 16:8 on your normal days? Just curious

lightenup2014 - I hate TOM! It always screws with me plus I gain weight. Same with ovulation... sorry you've had to deal with that. Hope for a better week!

Doing good here - had a burger patty with mozzarella in a low carb tortilla. Pretty good. Lots of water... off to the outdoors soon for football and cheer practice for the kiddos May go on a light jog while they do. Hope everyone had a great day!
