I am such a slug. I got up early to make Tom a smoothie for breakfast, but I could not talk myself into going for a walk. Now its getting hot and I have a friend coming over in a little bit to pick raspberries. My vines are LOADED. Yum yum!

My goal this week is to get the swing recovered. That and lay around in the pool some. And work out in the pool a lot!

We have a wellness club at church and I am supposed to teach tomorrow night. I am doing it on Mastering Leptin by Bryon Richards. Great book....I just am having a hard time getting motivated to review it.

I have spent a lot of time gathering new Indian cuisine recipes the past few days. I am getting quite the stack of cards! My biggest find is a blog by an Indian man who has developed one page cookbooks with 1001 combinations. So there is 1001 chicken curry recipes, 1001 eggplant recipes...they are really neat!

Off to try and get something done!

Well the week end went quick but it was a nice one. Was busy yesterday helping Steve take a part a computer desk he was giving a friend. It got all done and out of the house. Wonder whats going to take its place. Need to start getting ready for company coming the 25th. I've got lots of cleaning to do. Want to start with the fridge. Oh how I hate to clean it out. Its staying good and hot here. Need to think of something cool for dinner.

Ellen- Wish I lived near you and could pick berries. Your Indian food always sounds so good. Hope you get going today....

Solly- I can't do C1 either, I tried and lasted a week. Wish I could. Sorry about your leg and knee. But a day by the pool sounds good.

Well just had a slice a rye toast with peanut butter on it. That was my breakfast. Bad huh..... Guess I'll go get dressed for the day.

Today has been busy. I had a friend come by to talk..she was upset about something with her daughter. Then a young friend came by with her two little boys to swim some. They had a hard time leaving as they had parked right next to the raspberry bushes and the boys went nuts picking and eating! They left and a friend came to go to lunch and to Costco. I so appreciated her doing that...I hate not having a car sometimes. We had a good time, and shopped some after lunch in the Indian grocery store, then costco. I got in the pool for a bit and I really want to take a nap right now. I am not very prepared to teach tonight though....but I think nap is going to win out of necessity. You can't do anything if you are falling sleep, right?

TTYL!

Hi ladies. My DD has finally returned home. After being snowed-in, they rerouted their flights then missed their connection, spent the night in the airport and just landed. I took my GS across the street to the sitter. I loved having him, but he wears me out. His favorite word is NO. When he was born I wanted to keep him 5 days, but I'm sure glad that didn't work out. Having him 5 days and 6 nights was enough for me. Just keeping him 2 days is fine.

It is really hot here, I'm not complaining though, I got in the pool for about an hour yesterday. I need to go out and water my flowers and clean my house.

Ellen, I nap sounds like a winner. I sure could use one. My GS gets up so early I am never ready. Hope you get a car soon. I know that is tuff. Glad you have such good friends to ride you.

Toni, pb on toast isn't that bad of a breakfast. I had a frozen ww waffle and sf syrup, Not the greatest but I need to go to the grocery badly. I also had green tea with honey as my throat has been so sore since Sunday. Thought it was allergies but not sure.

Crystal, how are you today? Had any rain lateley?

Off to do something. Probably book our overnight room for vacation. We leave on the 25th. I can't wait. Have a great day

My walking/water aerobics buddy picked me up early this morning (7:45) and we went to the 8 am class at the pool. I was exhausted when I got home! Hadn't been to class in three weeks. It was a great workout...and I just finished breakfast- yogurt with a peach, espresso and a gluten free waffle with cream cheese on it. Tonight is potluck, so I need to figure out what I am going to fix to take, then I guess I will work on my recovering the swing project.

I forgot to weigh...but I know it is not good news. The meds I am taking make me feel bloated, and they cause weight gain. I tend to shy away from the one eyed bathroom monster these days...

We found out on Monday that my car is fixable...but it was awfully close to being totaled. If the airbags had deployed, it would have been. We have no idea how long it will take to fix it. In the meantime, Tom is driving the rental and once my car is fixed and we no longer have the rental, he will drive mine until he can find a replacement for his. I am afraid it may take a while.

I slept poorly last night...woke up around 3 and just got up until I felt sleepy again...at 4. I really long for a full night of sleep...you know..where you fall asleep and don't wake up until morning.

Off to work on the swing project...wish me luck! I am going to need it.

Hi ladies, I've been cleaning all morning. Tomorrow all I will have to do is floors. I have to split it up. My throat is still sore. I can't even blow my nose. DH said his was sore too. Don't know if I have something and giving it to him or if it is allergies.

Toni, I am so sorry for your grief. Try to remember all the good memories. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ellen, Sounds like you will be without a car for awhile. It sure makes it hard when you are used to going out when you want. Hang in there.

Crystal, How are you doing?

Beth, You are in my thoughts too.

Have a great day.

Hey guys..anyone remember me? It took forever to find this thread. I'm doing okay...it's been a long time since I've been on here. Quick rundown...I'm 35 years old now...divorced...but engaged to a wonderful man(Jason). Boogie(Joseph) is now 11 years old and we are going for his 4th open heart surgery next month in PHilly...Ashley is 15 and full of attitude. I've been under a lot of stress with finances and Boogie's Dad not paying child support let alone trying to help out with finances for surgery. I've gained a couple pounds back this year...I'm an emotional eater. I don't follow the plan like I should, but know it works and I have good legal days...and then really bad ones...but all in all, I'm doing okay with weight. I'm at 163-65...I was in the 150's. I wear 10's and 12's. But that's better than a sz 24 I was several years ago.

Another busy day! Had circle meeting at church this morning, then came home after lunching with the ladies and kids to having my grandson and son in law here swimming. Had fun playing with the boy...he fell backwards on the sofa and kneed himself in the face, so he is sporting a big black eye!

HEARTMOM: Great to see you! I can't believe Boogie is 11! Is this upcoming surgery kind of routine? I sure hope its not because he has developed problems. You are such a strong woman...and you really are holding on to your loss well! I am glad you found us. I hope you stick around!

TONI: I hope things are going well today for you...

SOLLY: I feel like such a slug! Here you are dizzy etc. and yet you still clean! I don't need much of an excuse to skip it....

Hi ladies. Just finished my floors and getting ready to go to my daughters to lay in the pool for a couple hours. Our church picnic is this weekend and my Dh willcook the fish tonight and chicken tomorrow night. I will go up and try to help do something but since I am so limited I probably won't do much but sit.

Heartmom, it is so good to hear from you. You have done a great job with your weight. I remmeber you lost so much. I can't beleive how big your kids have gotten. I send prayers for Boogie's upcoming surgery. Congrats on your engagement. I am glad you found a good man. Please stay with us.

Ellen, It takes me awhile to clean, alot longer than before. Iam not a sitter so I have to be doing something. Hope yuor GS;s eye doesn't get too black and hurt him.

Toni, hope you are having a better day.

Did anyone see the lady on Good mOrning America today that has lost 300 lbs on her own. She cut down her meals and starting working out. She was 589 lbs to start with. Goes to show what you can do it you want it.

Off to my DD's. Have a great weekend.

Everyone just left...we were celebrating my daughter's birthday today. She requested breakfast for dinner...we had waffles, sausage balls, bacon, scrambled eggs and cheese, and mimosas. Then everyone swam and played in the pool. It was lots of fun.

Now I am tired! I was up late last night with the grandson. When he woke up this morning he went in and bothered his parents instead of me. They had gone to a party they had with another friend whose birthday was yesterday. Then they came in late and slept here.

I am kind of sorry the weekend is over already!

Morning! Been busily trying to get the house in some order before Open Pool Day starts on Wednesday. Today my walking/water aerobics buddy is taking me to GardenRidge to try and find an umbrella. We may hit a few fabric stores too...I need some more to finish the swing.

I hope everyone has a great day! Will check in later!
