Happy Monday ladies. sitting here eating my yogurt and berries. My stomach is upset again today for some reason. DH & I walked a little yesterday. I wanted to walk to the store but didn't make it half way when my leg started hurting. I new I had to make it home too so we headed back. It was better than nothing. Planning on doing some arm exercises soon. Have to be careful what I do b/c of my back but my arm jiggle like bat wings.
Bad storm woke us up around 3:00 last night. Thunder and lightening for about an hour. My poor dog was scared to death. It rained earlier in the day too pretty hard. So far it has rained everyday. At least it is going to get hot.

Going to do some banking and get outside for awhile. talk to you tomorrow.

Crystal, don't work to hard today. sounds like every day is pretty busy for you. You could have eaten a lot worse things than squash casserole. I need to get to that point to beat myself up for eating somethiing good.

Toni, Yoo Hoo, You walked with DH. Great job. Bet you enjoyed it too. I am starting on phase 1 again today. Were those storms close to you?

Ellen, with all the rain we keep having I don't think our pools will ever warm up. Sounds like your Gs is going to love the pool this year. I love cilantro, I should plant some in pots.

Mercee, hope you had a good weekend.

Beth, hope your week was good. Thinking of you.

Good morning. The sun is out for awhile but we're supposed to get more rain. I moved my plants back out in the sun. I brought them up on the porch last night when big storms were coming. Hope I haven't moved them out to fast. The tornado's really tore up the town of Joplin here in MO. with about 84 people dead.

Solly- Haven't been back out to walk. We keep getting rain. I'm on C1D6 and think I'm losing again. Can't wait to get on the scale Wed. You did great on your walking. LOL I jiggle all over. Need to get my weights out and do some stuff. Good luck on C1.

Crystle- Sounds like you have another busy day planned. Hope you get it all done. Don't work to hard....

Ellen- Guess you're off and going this morning.

Hey Mercee and Beth... Thinking of you both...

Hello everyone! I went for a walk this morning early, then got in the pool a few hours later and worked out for 20 minutes. Last night I was messing around with my meds, and decided to try something different. I had some old pills from a weaker prescription, and I added some of another drug that is already included, but in a lesser strength. Well, it worked and this morning was blood sugar was about 50 points lower than its been in weeks. yay! I hope it continues...

Tom has jury duty this week. He got home early today. I had a friend over for coffee, so we all sat and talked. He doesn't know if he will have to go back tomorrow...he will have to call tonight and find out.

I don't have to fix dinner tonight. Tom is going to a men's event from church which is a dinner. I am going to our small group meeting. I just ate some garbanzo beans, cherry tomatoes and gluten free pretzels for dinner. Yum!

TONI: How far are you from Joplin? Storms have been pretty scary this year....

SOLLY: I am sorry you are feeling nauseated. I sure hope that goes away soon.

COUNTRY: I was pretty excited to find the cucumber seeds have sprouted! I am worrying about the basil tho...nothing yet!

MERCEE: Hope all is well!

BETH: I am praying for that sister of Drew's friend...

Beautiful day so far. Getting ready to take a shower and get going for the day. Had a breakfast of an orange and some prunes and a yogurt with flax seed. Going to thaw out some fish for tonight along with lots of veggies. And maybe a salad with some canned salmon on it for lunch.

Ellen- We're about 200 miles from Joplin so the tornado didn't effect us. I'm sure sorry for all the people there. We've had so many tornados this year. You sure had a great day yesterday with lots of exercise. Hope I can get a walk in today.

Hope everyone is doing okay.

My grandson hit the key before I was ready. He is waiting for me to get Mickey Mouse songs on the computer. I did not do anything all day. They gave me eye exercises to do twice a day to recalibrate my eyes. Tonight we are going to Lexington for my great nieces 8th grade graduation. Long drive for such a short ceremoney but oh well.

Toni, glad you are safe fromt the tornadoes. We are supposed to get some bad ones tonight. Can't wait to see if you lose this week. I just don't feel lke eating much but I am coming down from my week of bad eating.

Ellen, sure wish our pools would get warm. With all this rain they can't.

Hi to everyone else, GS wants me to get Ickey so have to run. Have a great day

I can't fall asleep so I just got up for a while. Hopefully, I will feel sleepy soon.

We are going to Orlando for the weekend for Tom's sister's twins high school graduation. We are only staying two days though. Should be home late Saturday night. I was glad Tom wanted to be back by Sunday morning...now I can sing in the choir for the first time! Woo hoo!

I have to decorate a cake to take along for the graduation festivities. I am making a sheet cake with two caps with the mortar board on them. I hope it turns out nicely. I am using a graham cracker for the mortar board...I have not decided if I will cover it with royal icing, butter cream or fondant.

I did not get as much exercise in today as I wanted. Tom's car died...now I am going to have to deal with not having a car for a while. No fun!

Off to try and sleep again! Good night!

My sister and neice came to town today so I met them in town for lunch. I was pleased with what I chose and it was a salad and a grilled chicken breast. It was so good. The others had the food bar and it was fried chicken and mashed potatoes and milk gravy. It didn't even interest me. I got into a new pair of jeans today, I was just thrilled.

Ellen- I hope you got some sleep last night. I hate nights when I'm awake. Have a nice time in Florida. Thats great you'll be singing in the choir. I love a church with a choir.

Mercee- Hope you take a breather soon. Hows the working out going?

Think I'll take a little nap before Dr. Oz comes on.

We had to cancel our Florida trip. Tom was in a wreck on his way home tonight. In MY car. So both our cars are out of commission. Mine was damaged a good bit, wheel turned under, but thankfully no one was hurt. And it was NOT Tom's fault. whew!

So with that, we decided not to go to Florida. We have a rental car. We won't know about mine for a few days at least.

Off to bed! Night!

Been running today. Had to take the dogs to the vets for shots and nail cutting.

Ellen- I'm so sorry about Tom's wreck and glad he's okay. Sorry you can't go to the graduation. Hope they can fix your car or you can get a new one.

Hope everyone has a good week end....

Last night a young friend of ours called and invited us over for dinner. His wife had made beef bourguignon out of Julia Child's cookbook. It was delicious. And it was a nice break. I had started dinner when he called, so dinner tonight is pretty much taken care of. Yay!

I just ate some leftover pizza for breakfast. I had gotten two frozen pizzas for lunch yesterday...my daughter and granddaughter came over for the day. A friend of hers and her little girl came too. We got in the pool, and the girls played all day. It was fun.

Its kind of cloudy today, and much cooler. Feels nice. I hope it stays like this for the Memorial Day cookouts and such. We don't have any plans. I am just kind of putting one foot in front of the other and not looking too far ahead.
