Thanks Joy for helping me confirm what I was thinking about my water!

So now folks. I will be cutting my water back to 4-5 bottles a day... I will no longer force myself to drink it.. Its the only beverage I drink anyway (besides my morning coffee), I dont have to worry about getting enough. I will have no problem getting 4-5 bottles.

...still plugging away to solve my weightloss puzzle as you can see! Drowning myself in water... who knew?

So so so glad I figured out this whole water thing.. Working now on cutting back.. Have 8 oz bottles instead of 16 just so that I can monitor myself.
Everyday, I turn over a new leaf! OH.. and then I stopped at the store and got some fruits that were high in potassium to help regulate my water situation.


6am – Gym – 40 minutes cardio and a few back exercises…. Good stretch and I was done!


Today’s Eats:

1) 8:30 - 32 oz kale smoothie.
2) 12:00 - veggie salad/0% fage/ banana
3) 4:00 - Amy's Tofu Scramble–
4) 5:00 - apple
5) 6:30 - pure protein bar
6) 8:00 - 1 rice wrap & 1 turkey burger

Totals: ~1600 calories.. burned around 200+ w/exercise

That's all for today.. I guess I need to really work on making my meals smaller because I have been getting indigestion sometimes. Today I don't have it BUT after eating my second meal at 330pm... I still feel like I just ate and its 1130pm!

Well.. I guess I will be ready for breakfast in the morning.

Hey Joy!

I think cutting back on the water is helping.. I definitely FEEL better! I still get more than enough fluids but am not going to the bathroom 8 times a night or 4 times an hour at work  Stomach definitely not as bloated either. I feel I am gaining some balance.
I can tell you that I do miss my scale (sometimes) mostly on days when I “THINK” I am feeling smaller. See what I mean about needing validation from the scale? Haha. But anyway.. I guess this is the 2nd week without it.. 1 more week and will probably go ahead and weigh. I am hoping to see some progress!


45 minutes cardio this morning…. Changing up a little.. did some speed walking which I never do because walking always feels like cheating unless I am walking on an incline.. However, this morning I was really sweating and really wanting to stop so this may be a good change. I have been reading that if I want to slim down my legs, I need to walk on more of a flat surface and less inclines… also less resistance when I do the elliptical… I guess so that the muscles are not being built up/challenged as much… Anyhoo, I was sure to still stay within fat burning zone (over 130 bpm) so there you have it..

Trying also to break my meals down more and eat more often to get rid of that indigestion that I have been having lately.

So here goes.

EATS.

1) ½ grapefruit – 8am
2) ¼ cup oatmeal – 10am
3) veggie salad w/ Kens light Rasp Walnut Dressing - 12pm
4) pack of baby carrots - 1pm **indigestion
5) 1/4 cup oatmeal & 1 Dannon low carb yogurt 2 pm
6) spinach caserole - 4pm
7) Pure Protein Bar - 530pm
8) 2 Amy's bistro burger & mashed cauliflower745pm
9) 1/2 grapefruit & left over kale smoothie (1 cup)945pm

I felt a WHOLE lot better eating every 2 hours today.. that worked a lot better than waiting 3. I will keep this up and see how I feel tomorrow.

40 minutes cardio plus biceps, triceps, chest

I think I want to start doing a little exercise in the evenings as well. A nice little run would shock things up a bit. Not everyday but a few times a week. Even an evening walk could do me well. There’s not a lot of time between getting home from work, dinner, and bed.. but I think if I sneak a little more exercise in – it will help me with feeling snacky. I think instead of having my "dinner" when I get home.. I will have it right when I am leaving work.. Then that way, when I get home and rest up a bit.. I can change my clothes.. go exercise and then have something small when I return like yogurt/fruit.
That's the plan!


I will see if I can work it in there somehow. I may just start off with a 1-2 mile jog… We’ll see! Still not feeling bloated or icky. Clothes fitting nicely.. But I want them to fit LOOSE so that I know some more changes are happening!


1) veggie salad w/ lite rasp walnut vinagrette 9:30-

2) 1/2 cup oatmeal w/ 1.5 cup frozen strawberries pb2 & 2 tb cottage cheese11:30 -

*More than I had planned to eat at this meal but I didn't control myself like I should have. I know I wont be hungry at 4pm. but that's ok. I will skip that snack.

Yunno...I read somewhere that cardio done at night burns more fat. I'm starting to believe it cuz I've been noticing that the scale is better to me when I run at night as to running first thing in the morning, or even before noon! I'd give it a try!

If you like the way your clothes are fitting...this IMHO is the best gauge for success. I've still got a pair of junior size 7's that are really really snug (from about 20 yrs ago)...when I can fit them loosely...I will know I'm at GOAL (no matter what the scale says...but the scale will AGREE!)

I've been meaning to ask you...if you don't mind disclosing, where did you get that "blouse" your wearing in your avi? I WANT IT!!!! SERIOUSLY...I WANT TO BUY THE EXACT SAME TOP..haha! I will drive to MD to get if I must...it is sooooo FABULOUS! I don't care if I'm a copycat or whatever...

Hey Joy!

I do like the way my clothes are fitting, BUT I want to be 1 size SMALLER than I am now.. So with that being said, THESE NEED TO GET LOOSE!!! HAHAHAHAHA.

And I know 1 size smaller - I MOST DEFINITELY WILL BE IN THE 130'S!!! I will try the night time exercise thing for a while in addition to my morning routine and see if that sparks anything

late last night.. had salad - 1130.. couldn't sleep.. Got up this morning and pumped out 60 minutes of cardio in the gym. I guess I wasnt starved this morning because I ate late last night.

WEDNESDAY - 1 hr cardio (am) Jogged 1.5 miles and speed walked the rest

coffee this morning.....

1pm - strawberries and 0% fage

3pm - veggie burger & cauliflower

530 - veggie salad & 1/2 bag of 100 calorie popcorn.

830 - 1 cup of oatmeal w/pb2 / 1/8 cup cottage cheese & sf strawberry preserves.. OMG.. this is my new favorite.

I just love love love oatmeal! I love eating it for dinner as well because it will hold me and I shouldn't be looking for food while I am in bed. OMG. Cant wait to eat this again tomorrow!

*wasn't the least bit hungry after 2 hours.. so I waited til I could kinda feel my stomach empty.

Got sick last Friday so that was a start to an off plan weekend! I couldn’t figure out what I ate that made me so sick but I hope that whatever it was, I threw away.

Anyway.. back to my regularly scheduled program today.

60 minutes of cardio this morning
Plan to do another round this evening. I didn’t have my sweat suit this morning and my legs NEED that sweat suit. You have no idea how much water comes off these babies!

So anyway…

Eating every 2 hours worked pretty well last week.. so the plan is to keep that up. I am still scale less.. Its funny because it seems like things aren’t as exciting for me when I don’t get to weigh.. However, I don’t miss the mood swings either! Not ready to bring the scale back yet.. because I don’t think I am mentally “healed” as of yet.. I still need to love what I see a little more first…

I will be back later to update my food.

12PM - 2 hard boiled eggs/ 1 tsp light mayo & 1 lc yogurt - 200 cals

2pm - veggie salad w/3 bean and lite rasp walnut vinagrette - 200

4pm - 6 oz fage / 100 calorie popcorn

5pm - mashed cauliflower

-----------------------------750 so far

Rest of the day
2 hard boiled eggs
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup cottage cheese
mashed cauliflower

Totals: 1240

OK. Um. I am missing my scale. It sucks but I guess I secretly like the scale torture? I dunno. Sigh.

Anyway.. no gym this morning.. Have to workout when I get off.. Should be a good sweaty one!

I'm still trucking along Still no scale... Boo! I think I need to bring it back soon because its not as fun losing weight/journaling when I dont have it.
That's why I haven't been journaling as much. Sigh. I said I wouldn't get it back til close to June but... well.. I dunno. We'll see. I may be able to make it 3 more weeks without it.

I"m not asking to see 135 or anything.. I just want to see 139 for goodness sake!

OK.. Now I'm pumped again. I have something to look forward to!

Exercise:
5am - 65 minutes cardio

Meals:
9am - 2 egg whites & small apple

11am - 0% fage + 25 cal cup peaches + sm apple

1pm - veggie salad w/ lite sourcream and Salad supreme as dressing.

3pm -1/4 cup oatmeal + pb2 + 1/4 cup lf cottage cheese

5pm - 100 calorie popcorn... and the hunger begins. OMG!

6pm - pack of peanuts..

9:30pm - 1/2 brown rice wrap ..tuna w/lite mayo & celery

10:30 pm - 1/4 cup almonds (Didn't need these!)
