Nothing major to report. Managed to eat at a fast food restaurant, eat I needed and not leave feeling like I needed to be rolled out.

how is everyone else doing?

The shower was great. I did eat more than I should have though. Haven't weighed yet. So we shall see.

Exclamation

had a weird bump yesterday. I wanted some chocolate after lunch. Just a taste, there wasn't any in the office candy jar which I had been avoiding, and I didn't want anything in the vending machine. I had to go out during lunch and ended up getting a bunch of chocolate from a store. I'm thining if I just grabbed something small and simple instead and letting it build I would have been ok...blah....but ok otherwise.

Hi Obi. Back from vacation. Boy do I love home. ha Reread the Overfed Head while gone and this part struck me, "If your weight problem is severe enough to require surgery, the issue you need to come to grips with is your compulsion to feel full. Healthy people dislike that feeling and you can retrain yourself to dislike it, too.". This maybe the first vacation I've ever taken where I lost weight.

I've had a few bumps, I'm still losing, but I think alot of it is bad planning. I don't being enough to eat at work then by them time I get home for dinner I'm ravenous and over the edge i go. I'm going to try adding in fruit. I keep saying I need to re-read the overfed head again and the other IE books.

I also have been obsessing about the scale, and realized I did all this before the first time I lost weight with IE. hmmmm

I writing in my blog today...its an ongoing process. Living and Learning.

I guess I read The Overfed Head again because that is when I finally started losing weight. I've read it several times but it never hurts to review the principals. I've been feeling really great lately. Haven't felt this good in years. The gout came back the other day but I took 3 ibuprofen and then repeated it late in the day and it went away. When I first got gout I tried everything including some prescription meds from my brother. They just made me sick to my stomach. Finally I took 4 ibuprofen 3 times a day and after a week it went away. I had it about a month before that. I don't like taking ibuprofen but it is the only thing that worked.

hey carol

I think this is the first thread I have that i responded to when I first joined the site....

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/la-w...ve-eating.html

I'm kinda beat up today, but if you wanted something else let me know and I'll do so more seaching.

So I think I solid on the IE thing. I have been craving mashed potatoes for about a week, but trying to stick to low carb, but I was planning how to make fake mashed potatoes out of cauliflower and decided to just have the mashed potatoes rather than try and fake them and waste time cooking something I really didn't want....Anyway went out to eat. I had the appetizer mashed potatoes and dessert. I took the meat and other stuff home for left overs. I'm not full, and I can't even remember the last time I had left overs.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Thanks, Obie, now how do I fine #2,3,4, etc.? You're good at this. Obie, I lost about 40lb but stopped and have just started losing again after a year!!!! I am always amazed at how some of my favorite foods don't mean much anymore. I'm glad you had the mashed potatoes.

Left over are still in the fridge and not interested in eating them and no craving for mashed potatoes or anything else really.

@carol
What I did was click on my name and seach for posts I had made. There were 12 pages of results and I went to the last page. I think the IE thread was of the first threads I joined.

Woo hoo at losing.

I've joined a challenge to only weight myself once a week. I was getting on the scale 2-3 and possibly more times a week and lost of emotional ups and downs.

I really need to dig out my copy of the overfed head.

Reworked a martha stewart recipe today. Asian stuffed cabbage rolls. I've tried it a few times, but the cabbage part never appealed to me. So I made the meat recipe (instead of beef I used half ground turkey and half ground pork) added roasted brussel sprouts, put them in green peppers and then roasted them. I used hoison sauce to bind it. Seems to have come out well enough.

Went to a ny food and wine event yesterday, they did cornish hens so i may attempt that at some point. Right now I am doing very badly with chicken stroganoff...blah @not reading the recipe before I went shopping and hoping I can salvage it.
