Sorry I am on an American Idol Frenzy right now. So glad Bo and Carrie are in top 2. I really hope Carrie whens but I won't be said if Bo wins..both really good singers. My husband is now playing Travis Tritt songs and comparing...lol..
I don't think there's anything subliminal. But perhaps it's a signal to the judges or someone on who's leaving before the end of the show. Last night, each of them had the red lighting on one of each of their three songs. Tonight however, Vonzel was the only one with the red lighting. But that was AFTER the voting has been done and tallied.
I've never noticed the red light, but I'm usually just listening from the next room, lol. I'm so glad it's down to Bo and Carrie. I think either one will be a refreshing change this year, no one has sounded like either one so far, and they need someone that will stand out. Vonzell was nice, but the poses, the kiss blowing- I felt like I was watching a Miss America contest.
THANK GAWD!! Now I can watch the finale with no stress. Either Carrie or Bo will make me very happy as the American Idol. I mean, was it Rueben that won opposite Clay Aiken? And isn't Clay more famous than Rueben now? So, at this point, no matter who wins, the other is guaranteed a music career at this point, anyway as far as I'm concerned.
Phew!! That was stressful, though, last night. I had a sneaking suspicion that Vonzell was going to stay and Carrie go. I always knew it would be Carrie and Bo in the end...
Was anyone other than me bothered by Bo's sunglasses last night during the show? They're OK when he's performing, but last night I wish he would've taken them off! Made me wonder if his eyes were all blood-shot or something. Of course, he did take them off when he sang, didn't he? Why oh why did he keep them on the rest of the time? That's just one of my personal pet peeves.
That being out of my system:
I'm glad that he and Carrie are in the final two. I think next week will be great! I can't wait for the show!
I think he just wears those sunglasses to peeve Simon. I remember when he wore them the first time and Simon made a big todo about them and said he didn't care they were just a $6 pair anyway. But yes they do annoy me as well.
It's funny around here how many people love Carrie but would really like to see Bo win. I agree that I think both of them have big careers ahead regardless of which one gets the title.
My niece (12 yrs. old) called me last night. They live in Muskogee, OK which is the close to where Carrie Underwood lives. They got tickets to be in the audience on Wednesday night for the results show of American Idol. They are doing it at the Civic Center in Muskogee. Gave away 4000 tickets. For those not familiar with the show, the night of the results for the finale, they always go the the home town of the two and have an auditorium full of fans supporting the contestant. They do live remotes and give away prizes, etc. I told Ashley that I would be watching for her. She was going to make a big sign to take.
Wow, both were amazing tonight but my votes (if I could ever get through) are going to Carrie, she gave me goose bumps on that last song, especially when she started tearing up
I didn't see Carrie sing I was tied up with other things and saw Bo's first two songs, and a few seconds of Carrie's first song. Darn! Well maybe if she wins, she'll sing that song tomorrow night
Roxymom, that will be so exciting for your niece! I vaguely recall last years finale, what a crowd in the home towns! I don't recall a tv show ever getting the kind of attention AI gets, it's amazing.
When Carrie finished Independence Day, I was like--"but you didn't finish the song! I need more!"
It was interesting to see all the "old" Idols back. They looked good, too. I didn't recognize Anwar for the longest, though! Some folks on the Idolonfox forum say that Jessica Sierra looked pregnant, but I didn't even notice!
