I'm glad that it was Scott that got sent home-especially since it was Anthony's birthday. I missed the Fallen Idol show...I'm glad that everyone thought it was a waste of time....I thought it sounded like a poor loser needing some more attention! GOBO!
Here is another one that is so happy that Scott is gone. He was so discusting! It would have been sad if it was Anthony with it being his birthday. He will probably go next week though.
As for the Primetime show, I didn't watch. I'm a Law & Order fan. And I wouldn't give Corey Clark the time of day. I'm from Kansas and remember the news about him being arrested and going to trial in Topeka. He couldn't of finished the show even it they didn't give him the boot because his trial date was during the show. I think the true Idol fans will stick by Paula.
Yea! Glad "he's" gone, too! I was at one of my friends' house and I actually made her turn on the TV so I could watch the last few minutes of the show (yes, I'm rude, I know) so I didn't see the whole thing.
And I'm not interested in that Fallen Idol thing at ALL. Ploy, ploy, ploy--the guy obviously needs 15 more minutes.
Yeah, it seems too suspicious to me. I also noticed that they didn't interview anyone from the Sprint store. How did they even get the bills? ABC said they had no way of knowing who was on the phone.
Plus, if this really did happen, and Paula tried so hard to keep it a secret (as he claims) then why would she go into a public store with him, knowing full well that everyone would see them together and recognize them? Wouldn't she have handled this on her own and given the phone to him, or had her assistant take care of it? Or just give him the cash to head down to Sprint, himself? It makes no sense at all.
Oh and I thought this was laughable - Corey claimed that he was coming forth with this now because this was a "900 lb gorilla on his back." He apparently was bragging to people that he slept with Paula (what a jerk) and this supposedly tormented him? And he made this decision now, when he's trying to sell a book and CD?
Also, the phone recording by Paula did not sound like a woman worried over a an affair coming to light. She sounded like she was ticked off that he was trying to make these claims and she was telling him he better put a sock in it. That wasy my take, anyway.
I thought it was very cheesy the way ABC focused on Paula's friendly attitude towards him during auditions. Anyone that ever watches it will know she behaves that way to everyone, she's the nice one, lol.
I feel very badly for Paula, she has taken so much abuse this year.
I watched the Corey Clark thing, OF COURSE... come on, I'm "that girl" that reads US Weekly every week (what? Brad and Angelina in Kenya???)
Anyway, I was wondering... do any of you guys have your phone bills from 2 years ago? or random pieces of paper with someone's phone number on it? who keeps this stuff? unless you were planning on using it for something in the future.
that being said, this kid is clearly not smart enough to be able to lie so well on national television. he knew too many little details. i think its true, although i dont know why paula would pick him, he's not attractive at all.
i also think he's coming forward purely for PR reasons. that that it will help... that song he was recording during the special had THE WORST lyrics i have ever heard in my life.
Of course it's for PR now!! If he actually wanted to expose a scandel for "justice" reasons he would have come forward when it happened--not waited until the book and CD were ready for release.
Poor Paula.
Even if she had a lapse of judgement and did what he is saying, who cares?
I actually did watch last week even though I said I wouldn't. I am so glad Scott is gone but I have to admit he sang pretty good last week which made me come up with this theory as to why he wasn't voted out earlier when he didn't sing as well. As it has been mentioned here and even printed in some papers, there is a group that votes for the worst singer each week as I understand it. The week before when Simon said Scott should pack his bags because he thought he'd be the one voted out, Constantine got voted out because these people that are voting for the worst contestant voted for Scott so he got more votes than Constantine. Now, on Tuesday, I believe Scott actually sang better than Anthony so my theory is these people voted for Anthony believing he was the worst singer that night. But of course it helps that Anthony has a lot of fans so Anthony got a lot of votes and Scott got the boot. Of course, this is only a theory. So, if this theory works, it could be possible that Anthony may stay in for another week. However, I don't think this theory will necessarily mean the worst singer will be voted the American Idol because near the end more people vote for their favorites.
Also, did you ever notice that the only one who has never been on the bottom is Carrie?
Okay...so now that we don't have anything to complain about ( ), and now that it's two hours till showtime, who do you think will be going home this week? Of course, either Vonzell or Anthony. When I watched this show the first time ever was whan Lindsay was voted off and I pegged Bo and Carrie to be the final two. I'd love to see Anthony stay another week, but Vonzell is a much better singer than Anthony, from what I've seen. Very Whitney-ish. Anthony seems more inconsistent. We'll see how they do tonight. I'm going over to the idolonfox website to see if there are any rumors as to the theme. Last week they said it was going to be the old fifties/sixties songs and names the two guys (can't remember the names). I'll let you know if I find anything out.
Still in the competition are BO BICE, ANTHONY FEDOROV, VONZELL SOLOMON and CARRIE UNDERWOOD. Last week the competition got twice as hard as each contestant now has to perform two songs live each week. This week the categories are Nashville and then "The Philadelphia Song," meaning songs written by the super writing team of KENNY GAMBLE and LEON HUFF.
Looks like its going to be a great night for Carrie!! Should be interesting to see Anthony sing country/western Let's hope he does great!!
Why did Paula ask Vonzell about her day? They say that making America ache for what is going on in her life. I am such a horrible reality tv person, hehe. My husband said he has a feeling Vonzell going home tomorrow as well. Carrie did good tonight but I wish Bo did better...oh well. We will see what happens tomorrow.
I hope this doesn't sound racist, but I thought Carrie singing an R&B song sounded like Trisha Yearwood singing R&B and Vonzell singing country sounded like Whitney Houston trying to sing a country song. It doesn't have anything to do with black and white, but Country and R&B, I think, have different keys and different styles all together. It was really awkward to see the girls being in the other's element seemed forced and a real stretch for both of them. I felt bad for them both having to acclimate to the other's element. Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of that Dixid Chicks song, either, but Carrie did it well. Of all the Country songs available out there, she could have picked one to showcase her pipes a little better...I always thought Natalie Maines more or less yells as opposed to sings...I can always picture her in a rodeo-themed bar, standing on her barstool yelling "Paarrrrrrrtaaaaaayyyyyy" in that same singing voice. I LIKE the Dixie Chicks, but maybe another Martina McBride song would have been a better choice for our Carrie. She kicked butt with Independence Day.
Anthony, on the other hand, slam-dunked both of his songs, imho. Bo did, as well. Although is first song (Bo), the country one, seemed kind of floundering or unorganized...never seemed to get traction for me. But he sang it well...he's awesome.
Okay...gotta run...I think Vonzell is going home. Something tells me she's ready to go home...I think she misses her family from the way she was crying when she saw her dad. Very sweet, actually, but I think it's time.
I think the real reason Scott went home last week (FINALLY) is that the VoteForTheWorst.com website has gotten so much more publicity lately. While one would think this would cause an increase in votes for the worst contestant, I think what it did was just the opposite--it made the TRUE AI fans angry and got them to vote even MORE times for the GOOD contestants! VoteForTheWorst is now saying they should vote for Anthony as the worst remaining in the final 4, so we'll see if that has any effect on how this week goes.
I voted for Anthony probably 20 times. I know I don't like when people tie up the lines, but I was doing it because every single time I dialed it went through and I thought...uh-oh...this can't be good. The lines are wide open. Oh, well...I think Anthony will do well in a singing career. All four of the contestants tonight I think are exceptional. Vonzell is next week. Then, it's anybody's guess between Bo and Carrie. I'll be happy with either one!!
I am so disappointed with last nights results!! Anthony did probably the best, and he just got thrown under the bus!!!! Reason being I think is because he is so comparable to Clay Aiken....
I so cannot wait for Vonzell to go home...she is getting on my last nerve. She is so stuck on herself, and I am so sick of the fake kisses, and sympathy stuff. I think that is the only reason she skated by, she got the sympathy vote...There are plenty of music artists who have bad days..but do you see them going on Stage and Breaking down in tears????
