  • Bump again!
I had to rescue this thread from the 2nd page again!

I go to Starbucks about twice a year, usually when I am flying. The only thing I will buy there is an Ice Mocha, which I consider a dessert more than a coffee.
If I feel like making the effort (usually a weekend morning thing) I brew a really mean cup of coffee myself with freshly ground beans and my lovely little Italian coffeepot.
The only thing I sometimes crave and haven't found here is hazelnut coffee, and I don't mean coffee with hazelnut syrup, but beans that have been infused with hazelnut essence somehow, to give kind of a nice undertone of flavor.
  • I grind my own beans and prefer French Roast . And I like it strong and not messed up with flavorings and whipped cream.
  • I bought an amazing tea the other day. Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose. The smell and taste is heavenly!
  • We end up on page two a lot because there are way too many silly games out there. They seem to have a purpose of some sort. What a drag!

Just passed another building inspection - construction, wiring, heating and plumbing. Insulation inspection is next and then I'll book Gary for drywall if Angie will give him permission. Any bets?
  • 11 games between page one and two. They all look the same to me! lol Tried playing them for a while. But then noticed that the answers start looking the same.
  • I'd love to come RUTH...Angie wouldn't mind but right now my boss is mad at me because me and my 11 guys are only working 9-10 hour days and 3 Saturdays a month......

When he asked me on Monday if we worked the week-end...I said not this one but we will next one....then he says you are working over each day right...and I said yes...but only 1 hour each day this week since we are working Saturday...oh...he says....then turns his back on me and says...it is a big job....and walks off...

    meaning...he wants more!!

Gary, sounds like your boss needs a hug, or a box of chocolate or some midol. Hope he is not always moody. No wonder you enjoy your vacations so much!
  • Thanks Julia....nah...he is always that way...he is a workaholic and expects us all to be too...

however....with all his faults he is pretty good to work for and he pays me very well to take his abuse!

And my guys get paid the going rate for union wage here which is pretty good...but not a nickle more...

my bosses idea right now is..."How many guys came here looking for work this week Gary?"...Oh about 15-20...why chief?...."well, this is a big job....9 hrs?...is that all you got?

I guarantee you...if he treats me like crap one day....the next he is like an angel to me...every single time....

and it is a good thing or else I'd be gone!

and maybe out of a job right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quite right too, it's not as if you guys have a life or something...

    meaning...he wants more!!

Pool your pocketmoney and get him a rent-a-friend?
  • HA DUTCH!

Hard to believe but his wife is such a sweetheart! She loves to talk about going to church, with their daughters, with my brother and I...they go to a different one...he doesn't go.
  • Isn't that always the way?
  • Seems like it!
  • Well, I am guilty of playing games. It keeps me out of the refrigerator and keeps my mind off of health issues. By the way isn't threadkiller a game ?
  • No, Threadkiller has a highly educational bent, it teaches women how to tease and torment the men in their environment.

Could all the games perhaps be collected in their own section like the jokes are? Then they wouldn't get in the way of serious business like Threadkiller
  • Now there's a good idea. I'll run it by the powers that be since I can't figure out how to do it myself and am too lazy (and busy) to figure it out!

The guys are drilling through the cellar wall and the noise is making my teeth hurt. The idiots are not even wearing earplugs! Duh!
