ok, here goes, I'm starting the day with a primal scream-

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

I've decided that my SIL is nuts! And, I'm getting really fed up with her 'oh poor me-I've had to do everything' attitude. She accepted the position as executor of her dad's estate-What did she think she would be doing??!!! Now, she wants us to help pay for funeral expenses for this "show" she's decided to put on, instead of the simple service my FIL wanted-I'm really biting my tongue right now........


Oh, and thanks for letting me vent......I might just make it through this without biting her head off!

Don't bite your tongue - put your man on it. It's HIS father, right? (This is why I have pre-planned and pre-paid my funeral.)

Ronni, I'm sorry that you had to go through this too. I know how it feels. My older brother and sister decided that they were going to make all the rules and that was it! Even when my Dad was still in the nursing home and laughing and joking with everyone----they decided that only two of us could go in at a time!! Now mind you --with myself, my husband, my son his wife and two grandkids (that made 6) They just did this to mess with me...They chose to not have any kind of memorial service and I had to try to explain it to people when they called me! But things are getting back to being a little better. They have both been over to our house once now. Hopefully it will get better with time for you.

That's it girl, you let it all out!

Family can be a great support at times like these, but can also be a burden and/or a giant pain in the behind.
Things like funerals can and should be discussed in life, and the wishes of the deceased should be respected. It is the last thing you can do for someone you love and it is a time when you put aside selfish or self-gratifying behaviours.

anyway, you can scream as much as you want to here!

Thank you all-your messages just brought me to tears. Our pastor just called and he's praying for the situation also, so that we can have peace for the memorial. I think we're going to need all the prayer we can get!

though it's mostly with fatigue after a long,hard day.
Several of my co-workers are on vacation and then 2 called in sick today (there seems to be some nasty cold virus going around ) which left me all alone.
Fortunately I got some help from another department, which was really sweet.
Early night for this girl.
