You are good Julia... a dutch girl- eh?
My fave flower in the world is the Tulip... my dream would to be to go and get some REAL tulips. Take a picture of me in the middle of a field that is ever going of them. I'd be in heaven.
My Mom (at my Dad's request) would take a perfectly good leftover beef roast and grind it up with cooked and mashed potatoes. The resulting "hash" was a tasteless mound of gray stuff that required copious amounts of ketchup in order to force it down.
I remember this being served when I was a kid. Nasty.
Had many a beans and weenies pot growing up....still like it but it is not in Angie's "mindset"....beans ok....hot dogs ok...but not together in a pot.
My brother has kraft dinner mac and cheese with hot dogs cut up in it all the time...loves it!
Don't know how much "vision" Susan will have through the smog in Mexico City
Speaking of Mexico....todays game USA 2 - Mexico 0.....World Cup 16 months away.
Our poor food was spagetti with sauce that was made to strech further by adding cream of mushroom soup. We also had veggie garden and chicken coop which filled 2 freezers. But we also had kale and sausage (stamppot van boerenkool met worst) poor dutch farmer food. Funny now I serve kale stamppot to my kids as a treat.

I soooo, got ya beat, Dude. Try Sauerkraut and Weenies. And, for dessert, peanut butter and syrup for dipping bread in. Wonder Bread, of course. Can't imagine how I learned bad habits that would lead me to 3FC. Turns out the Amish eat the PB and syrup on "special occasions", like weddings, funerals and such. Of course, they burn about 100,000 cals a day, so tain't no biggie for them.

Love the tulips! Tulips are a favorite of mine, too. I have some planted in front of my house. They usually start blooming sometime around Easter and I always think that they look like a bunch of Easter eggs before they open up!
