My poor Sox... thank goodness they are home, but they are playing the first place Toronto Blue Jays who have 3.5 games on us... Too many Rays and Jays in May...The west coast trip was dreadful... lost both series.. Tough week overall for Boston teams...

I've been mia here and lurking in main forums... a little too much drama in my life lately and to top it off it's looking like I tore my right ACL... {Caroline rolls her eyes}

Enjoy your games tonight

Ouch SWEET-C on the torn ACL...I am an expert on that injury having ripped it in high school back in '71. Back then the doctor told me surgery would probably make it worse....live with it if I could and wait for the future. My orthopedic surgeon was the father of a guy that worked for my dad, he felt in time surgery would advance. Well of course it did and after many tears over the years I finally severed it in '90....was out of work and had therapy for almost a year but have been 100% ever since Good luck with yours.

Sorry NATION but I think you are on the right track. D...I dunno about those ROCKS BIG BIRD the local paper here says that you guys are ready to send Greene back to those padres... first class overnight express

Gary, Khalil Greene is not getting a lot of playing time. We have a guy from AAA who came up who is doing a much better job. He's also called Greene. The fans around here are not happy with Khalil's attitude or his playing.

Well Big Bird if you had to move from San Diego to St. Louis I doubt if your attitude would be cheerful...chirp-chirp...either!

They're saying tonight that he's going to be used as a utility player for a few days to help his confidence.

Ugh this might not be a good series for my team. Our lineup is not looking too pretty and 2 of our starters going this series leave a lot to be desired. Ugh

Weird here w/out a game ... any local team game.. lol...
I'm hoping the Sox get the injuries out of the way now.. sure has been a lot of them lately, minor, but troublesome...

Gary please tell Manny to leave Ortiz out of this crap... I have a horrible gut-wretching feeling about Ortiz... could he be next on that list ? I will die inside if that happens, but something is going on with him... he still has not hit a homer... stress will hold you captive

Thanks for the ACL info... no surgery for me... its already responding to conservative treatment... I'm so glad it worked for you...

Sorry for the hijack guys..

Oh Caroline, Caroline, Caroline. Youchers on the ACL. Both my parents had "the surgery" My dad's was waaaaaay terrible and painful for him, so he was glad to get it done, my mom's was bad, but no where's near as my dad's. The pain, oh the pain I'd see in their eyes whenever I'd visit (quite often) and then after it was done, and therapy etc. They feel much better. Well rain and dreary weather is tuned in earlier, but they can subside it by Advil.

Game talk:
Man, lots of injuries, huh? UGH. Hoping they got them done and we are clear for a while.
I have the same creeping feeling too, Caroline on Ortiz. *humble grumble* ... hoping that it ain't so though.

Oh geez. You can't make this stuff up sometimes. Top 11th tie game b/w Mets and LA. Mets score what looks to be the go ahead run, but the runner missed 3rd base, so is called out.

Bottom of the inning, our pitcher walks the leadoff guy. Than a routine fly ball to the OF and our LF and CFer miscommunicate and nobody catches the ball to put 2nd and 3rd, 0 out. A walk and an out later...bases loaded, we get a ground ball, but our first baseman (who isn't really a 1bman) throws it away to let the winning run score.

Razz - That was unbelievable. I just had to shake my head.

But, the good news is that the Rockies won in Atlanta! Yay!

Oh, and the other good news is that the Junior College World Series starts on Saturday right near where I live! 4 games on Saturday, 3 games on Sunday, 3 games on Monday, right on through the week until the championship game, which is usually Friday night. Gotta love Memorial weekend and baseball!!

We have 3 against the Cubs.

I hope this motivates the team to get a win.
