Mets had been playing well, but just lost 2 in a row to the lowly Bucs, and are rained out tonight leaving me with nothing to do for the night lol.
The crazy wave of injuries is never ending with this team. Just had to put our 3rd string SS on the DL with a broken finger, and our main SS Reyes had a setback in his rehab from injury so who knows when he is coming back. Luckily our 2nd string SS just came off the DL.. though he still has a torn ligament in his thumb that he is going to try to play with. Meanwhile amongst all the injuries the stomach flu was spreading through the clubhouse taking out a couple guys... lol. And one of the producers on the Mets TV station also got sick with flu like symptoms causing a few hrs of "Swine flu" panic, but apparently he's ok. I guess its good that they have no game tonight. We've only had 2-3 regulars in the lineup lately.
After one more with the Pirates its a series against the Nats before playing the Phillies and then the Yankees, which is always interesting.
Thanks guys... I really appreciate the thoughts... I just have to keep my mind busy... which is usally not difficult.. lolI do have to mention that the doctor referred to me in his note as "slightly obese"... very cool...
But.........Baseball will keep my mind off of things for now..
Beckett had a NO NO going till 2 down in the 7th, darn Tigers... but it is 5-0. I'm blaming Dennis Eck... he kept saying the NO NO... gotta learn the rules of the booth Eck... No mentioning the NO NO until its a NO NO...
Make that 9-0....

Sweet Caroline: I'm late in posting, but sending my prayers for you, too!
Good thing you aren't a Rockies fan. I'm sure the aggravation would not be good for you! Lost again. I think we're 20-31. What a record. Makes me crabby.
