To Detox, I'd travel the world! I'd do that anyway.
I just wanted to say about zoos, because I love them. I am glad that zoos have improved over the years and build environments rather than using cages. Also, it is sad that animals are going extinct and their survival seems to be partially because of zoos. It is a quandry.
What country would you like to visit which you haven't?
In my opinion zoos=good, circuses=BAD! We are members of our zoo...and I think they do a marvelous job of maintaining a "natural" environment for the animals they house. The only change I would make is to make the glass one-way...so that they don't see all the people staring at them all the time. I think zoos are very responsible with their animals.
I'd love to visit Norway, Luxembourg, Kenya, and India. I'd love to visit everywhere but those are at the top of my list, I think. At least for today!
I LOVE to read. Fantasy, crime thrillers, old cheesy romance novels, historic romance, pretty much anything EXCEPT true crime. I still have my Chronicles of Narnia, and the entire Little House books and yes, I still pull them out and read them.
I'm currently reading the "Wolves of Calla" by Stephen King. I'm also reading "If Buddha came to dinner" and I'm working occasionally on "Tortilla Flat" By Steinbeck (this is my metro reading, small book, easy to carry, don't ride the metro often though!). The last book I completed was actually a scary story book about ghosts. I was trying to relive my childhood fantasy with ghost stories. Didn't work out as well as planned
Royals - Norway is a recent addition to my list of places I'd like to travel, I love the pictures of the Fjords.
Do you ever think about writing a book of your own? If so, what would it be about?
A diet book called "You Don't Really Want to Lose Weight, You Want to be Smaller, Right?" ... just kidding. Like there aren't enough diet books out there already.
Book just finished? I always have several going at once. Most recently finished "John Adamas" by David McCullough and "The Wal-Mart Effect" by Charles Fishman. Looks like I need to find some fiction!
Nelie - I think there are SO MANY countries that get overlooked for the more popular vacation destinations. I agree, Norway appears to be gorgeous!
Sort of off topic...but for those of you who mentioned scary stuff...I used to LOVE to read something scary. Now, though, Steven King just seems so wordy that I find myself becoming distracted and bored. I haven't read anything of his in a very long time! Can you all recommend quality scary books? Of the REALLY scary variety...not necessarily gory scary...but you know what I'm talking about. Right?

Actually, that is one reason Anne Rice kills me. She basically turns a short story into novel length by being so wordy.
Really scary? I wish. I have such a hard time finding good horror novels.
When I was younger, I preferred fiction, now it depends on what it is about. Weight loss stuff, I prefer non-fiction, stories I prefer mostly fiction.
If you could recommend 1 book, what book would it be?

I have SUCH a hard time recommending just one...but I will since you asked. Mine would have to be "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini. Hands down the best new fiction I have read in AGES!!!! I read it about a year ago and it still haunts me!
