Christmas -- mostly because of the religious meaning to me, but also the whole Santa thing, I love watching my kids.

If you could create a holiday, what would it be? (ex. national mom gets the day off day, take your dad to lunch day, etc.)

I was only kidding about the hair ~ EVERY day...I am in drywall finisher ~ there is ALWAYS DUST in the little hair I have

FAVORITE HOLIDAY ~ EASTER SUNDAY! HE IS RISEN! My kids always come to church with us that day with their wife/fiance...Angie and I go to sunrise at 6am... some of the kids and other family members join us, then we go to Easter breakfast in our congregation hall, then all of our family go to 8am service inside the church. Always uplifting and very special to us after the Good Friday service

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY?

I'd create a national "Eat Chocolate" holiday, of course it's going to be a paid holiday, and retailers must supply free chocolate....

Same question

Hmm... maybe a Random Acts of Kindness Day. Might not be too 'random' if it's a holiday, but I still like the idea.

Can you change a flat? Have you ever had to?

Well I can read and follow instructions. DH is better at it in most cases, but if it requires reading instructions to understand how to do it, fugetaboutit! We're a pretty good team, with me researching how to fix it and finding parts we need for things, and him doing the work.

Same question...

I was only kidding about reading the directions! Never use them in my life...we have a lot of crooked things in the house

Angie and I build things together (if she lets me) and we paint together (if she lets me) and we...uh...she refinishes furniture and I watch!

speaking of partnerships....

ARE YOU A TEAM PLAYER?

Yes! Gotta be. But my husband tells me I'm more like the man, meaning I'm not a domestic goddess of cleanliness, but thank goodness he loves his Dyson. I'm not even allowed to touch his vacuum cleaner. I do tons too -- the money, the shopping and errands, all laundry, most of the cooking. It all balances out!

What's the last home improvement project you completed yourself (or with partner). How did it turn out??

The last one was in our family room recently. When Angie and I got married 11 years ago, I only had a 3 bedroom, with her daughter we needed four so each of the 3 kids would have their own room. I built walls in the family room to make a bedroom for my son. He married in November, since then we have removed the walls, bought shelving from the Conatiner Store and installed it, patched the drywall (my trade) and painted the room. This past week-end we bought a water fountain and put it together outside of the sliding glass door of the room. As you saw in the previous pictures, Angie made a valance for the new blinds.

The project was a success! Waiting for new carpet on Friday! Our game room is ready!!

Now...if we can only get the kids back to play...

SAME QUESTION~
