I did D3 NMTZ's tonight of the 30 Day Slimdown! Oh my! She has some crazy moves. Whew! Especially the one part where you use dumbbells and keep your arms straight up and then go down on knee, then the next, and come up. Yikes! And the fire hydrants! I kinda liked those. I was able to make it through the whole thing. Of course I modified some but I made it. I was sweatin like a pig! lol

Finished level 2 yesterday, so it's onto level 3 today! I think I might just do the whole workout month again after I'm done, but in a 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 sequence.

Good afternoon all, I got my gym workout in today and just finished L1D8 of 30DS. I was pleasantly surprised that my husband decided to join me today. I wasn't expecting much for his workout, he's had 12 surgeries on his hips and legs because of cancer and 1 leg is quite a bit shorter than the other, but he stuck through it all and did as much as he could so I'm very very proud of him. I'm about to head out to work in a few hours so I just wanted to check in and tell everyone to enjoy this beautiful day and have a wonderful day of working out.

Hey
I just finished day 15 of 30DS. I really love it. Level 2 is pretty hard although I can do real push ups now. I'm also on my first week of WW since a failed attempt at South Beach. Good luck to everyone else!

That's a good idea. I had planned on doing that but then realized I wanted something different this time.

30 Day Shred - Level 1 -Day 4 completed.

Now I feel the pain from the NMTZ's workout in the front of my thighs.

Talking

Oh, oops! Is the 30DS a monthly thread? I think I just resurrected the old one...ah well, I'm new

I'll repost what I posted in there:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morning everyone. I am new here - in fact, this is my first post - and recently started the 30DShred. I've attempted it before but never got past Day 2. Today will be Day 5 and I have to say, it IS getting easier and I do feel really good.

I see this thread has somewhat ceased since March. Is anyone doing this workout right now? I'd love to get some feedback, as well as see before and afters of those who have completed the 30DS before (if they're available - I'd search but these threads are very long).

Any advice or help would be fabulous! TIA!

Kali

Niecey: I would start a different regime if I had the DVDs, but I have three different ones now and I don't want to buy any more, so I'll 1, 2, 3 it until I get really bored! But I'm really noticing a difference now, I definitely have defined muscles on my arms! And my jogging bottoms are starting to get too loose to do some of the jumps.

Anyway, I started level 3 yesterday and did the second round today, even though it's not only my deadline day (I'm an editor) but it's also that time of the month. Ugh. Maybe my pain pills helped me get through the exercise! (Although it's probably not a good idea to exercise on medication to help you not feel pain. Oh well...) The first time I did level 3 I thought I was going to die. I was wailing and moaning like anything. Then, it was suddenly all over and I thought 'that wasn't so bad, actually!'. I was distressing myself with the thought that the workout was going to go on longer than I thought it would, which gave me a real insight into how you can really psyche yourself out with exercise. It's just as much mental as it is physical. So, today, I was much better prepared for level 3 and I actually enjoyed it. I just hate those lunge jumps. They're the ones I could never never do properly on EA Sport Active, either. I just hate them, they make me feel like such a wuss!

Kali - my advice is just to do it as often as you can, it really does work. Think of it as though someone's taking the decision out of your hands - you HAVE to do it, it's just something you have to do. Cos, trust me, it works! I've lost inches in just 20 days - but then, I've also been on a calorie controlled diet (but no fancy carbs or protein or whole food stuff or anything like that, I'm not advanced like that!) and doing other exercise like exercise biking at the same time.

Belease- you are very very correct when you talk about 30DS being a mental challenge!!!

Hello! I just found this thread and since I just started Level 2 today, thought I'd share that IT ALMOST KILLED ME!!! haha Level 1 wasn't too bad...was kinda sore a few hours after the WO, but by morning, the pain was gone...I did L1 4days in a row, took 1 rest day, then did 6days in a row...took a rest day yesterday and started L2 today...I don't remember L1 being this hard, but I do remember it getting "easier" by the 10th day...it still had me sweating like a pig & sore, but I enjoyed doing it every day!

Does Level 2 get any easier??? Even after Circuit 1, I was DIEING!!!!

I started level 2 today as well. I struggled through most of it (even though I was doing all the modified moves lol). Some of the moves seemed really awkward to me as well, but that could've just been because i was so fatigued. I was also on a hardwood floor and my feet were slipping on some of the cardio plank stuff but when I put them on the yoga mat, I kept getting tangled in it so that was frustrating (I couldn't pull them up high enough to avoid it was part of the problem). It'll get easier, I'm sure.

I don't think I did the third ab circuit correctly either because I wasn't feeling it anywhere but my arms.

I'm gonna be sore tomorrow, thats for sure.

ugh! Completed 40 minute BFBM and all I can say is what have I gotten myself into!

It was brutal! But I made it through. I had to modify some moves and didn't do all the reps in a few sets but it was one crazy workout. Thank goodness I dont' have to do this everyday.

I'll be happy to do Quick Trouble Zones tomorrow.
