Default May 30 day shred - No excuses!!

Hello,

Who's down to shred this month with me? I just got my dvd today and have started with level 1. Join this thread if you're willing to commit to all 30 days, ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSES, and hold yourself and each other accountable.

So, here are my starting stats:
Starting weight - 151.5 (my weigh in day is Monday, so I'm just going to go w/last Monday's weight.)
Waist - 37"
Hips - 39"
left thigh – 24.5”
right thigh – 24.75"
left calf – 14.5"
right calf – 14.75"
arms - 11.5"

If you don't have your measurements, don't worry about it. Just jump in and let's get to work!!

Here's to shrinking for June...

All right, bjeweled (i love that user name) and Courtney, How's it going?

I did day 2 this morning (afternoon) when I actually rolled out of bed. It's funny, I stayed in bed about 40 mins longer, because I did NOT want to do it. But, I did it. Yesterday was my first day ever, and I thought this would be too easy, but I realized it's an intense workout. I totally felt the burn today.

So, Miami, huh? That's great motivation! I've never been, but I think I'm going to have to check it out soon.

Courtney - I checked out your blog, and I love that pic of you jumping - that's you, right?

As far as more motivation, check out this mommy's blog about doing the 30 day shred. Scroll back to the beginning of March to see her start her journey. She got some amazing results.

Ok so i totally am not in the loop with these DVD's.. i take it the shred is a dvd work out? COuld someone tell me what it is? it sounds very interesting?

Shannon - No worries, I just found out what it was a few days ago. It's Jillian Michael's (a trainer on The Biggest Loser) dvd. A 20 minute workout composed of 3 intervals of 3 mins strength, 2 mins cardio and 1 minute abs. There are 3 levels, and we're planning on spending 10 days at each level. At least, that's what I'm planning on doing. It's an intense non-stop workout, but I think it will give me amazing results after 30 days. I'm going to visit family in 12 days and I'm hoping some results would have kicked in by then. Many other users swear by it. Check out the link in my post above to learn some more about it.

Hey gals!
I'm in!!! I am on the 2nd day (again)... and SORE! I'm also doing a training plan for a possible team relay race and wow! My body hurts. AND I'm going wedding dress shopping in a week!

i'm here havent shredded yet but i will be jumping in full force soon. hopefully tomorrow or monday...i am on page 5 of an at least 10 pg paper that has to be written in order for me to graduate so as soon as i am done which should be tomorrow i am back on my wl kick! promise!

ooh, I want to get in on this. I JUST bought the DVD today along with some 2 lb weights, so I am ready to do it. I hope I see a difference by the end of this month

starting weight: 143

I would like to lose 5 lbs this month... that would put me at 138 by May 30th. Let's hope I can do it. As I get closer to goal I think it's going to get harder and harder to lose as a consistent rate.

OK so my Best Friend just informed me we have the SHRED 1,2 and 3 on our cable TV for Free under Exercise TV. SO i am SOOOOO in and ready to go. My one year anniversary is May 30th so i want to be down 1 pound by then..KIDDING........

I really want to lose 7-10 pounds. i know if i push myself and work for it i can do it.. plus i would really like to fit into the nightie i bought for the honeymoon that i never got to wear last year..LOL

Good Luck all.. off to do SHRED.. Cant wait!!!

I completed day 1 of level 1. I actually finished, which surprised me. I guess my exercise routine has helped to increase my endurance. Really gotta work on my upper body strength, however.

I wonder if Ill be sore tomorrow. Probably.

I was very proud... hubby did the video with me. What a trooper.

Oh I was so lazy this afternoon...instead of Shredding after I got up, I ended up spending 2 hours by the pool! (You have no idea how bad I need it though..lol!) BUT!! I was able to Shred before work, and I've completely forgotten how kick-butt it is...especially with 5lb weights!

So here's to day 2!

Annie, I've completely forgotten about my blog. Guess I need to start holding myself accountable and start writing in it again. And yes, that's me jumping...lol!

Bjeweled, what's the paper about?? I turn in my advertising portfolio and resume to my instructor on MONDAY and that's it for me! I graduate in less than 2 weeks!! Best of luck to you...I know exactly how you feel right now!

Shannon, let us know how it goes for you! I had to stop during my first time Shredding (months ago..lol)
