Bornthisway I don't hike very often either, despite living in Austria! Every now and then we go to the mountains for the weekend and go hiking. That one was particularly hardcore for me, seeing as though we don't really have mountains in England! I agree with you about gym cardio though, I hate it. I love running outside (can't at the moment, boo

), swimming in rivers and lakes, cycling and hiking.
indiblue welcome back! Have you tried making your own peanut butter? I make my own and now we won't eat anything else. You just mix peanuts (dry roasted) with peanut oil and you're done! I tried it with natural peanuts once and it was too bland.
Oh the places Yeah that is defo is the low carb effect. In the early stages of my half marathon training I experimented with Atkins and my tempo dropped quite dramatically. Once the training got over 12km there was no way I could have done it without some carbs (fruit or a small serving of oats).
I'm on day 4 of the balance myself out plan and have gone from 70.4kg (that was the result of the weekend and TOTM bloat) on Monday to 68.9kg today. Pretty good for 3 days! I'll move my calories up to normal level (1,600) tomorrow so I'll weigh myself tomorrow and then not again until next Friday. I really want to see my weight lower than 68.5kg by next week, I haven't seen that for ages!!
I'm off for a swim and then more thesis writing

(( One more chapter about genocide to go and I'm done!
