Hi again friends!

Gary.....I am only about an hour drive from Bloomington. We aren't over there often, but on a rare occassion we drive over to shop. It's lots of fun to go to their malls. Although we have several near us as well in Peoria.

My tracker didn't show up on my last post. Hope it does this time. If not I will have to go check it out and see what is going on.

Oh yes, tell me how and where you get all that fancy, cute graphics for your posts? It is so cool!

Did pretty good so far today. I had a sandwich on light bread for lunch with fruit on the side. Tonight we are having spaghetti with my homemade marinara sauce. NO meat in it so it's less points for me. Helps to be careful at meals so I can have a snack in the evening. Gary's port chops in the crock pot sound yummy!

By everyone, God's blessings........Carol

Hi again friends!

I have a big surprise for you all...
I'm pregnant!!!

Found out just after I got my first law school acceptance, and am now five weeks along. It's all still very new, but DH and I are telling people so we have the support of our friends and family - whatever happens. We had a very early miscarriage with our first pregnancy and have a little angel baby up in heaven, so we're a bit nervous to get through these first few weeks. We're already further along than we were last time, so pray that we'll have a beautiful healthy baby this time.

Oh, and around what would have been the time of conception, I had a dream that I was pregnant with twins. And this was the second pregnancy dream I've ever had in my life (the first was with the last pregnancy). So maybe it's babies?!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday everyone! Those of you who are watching (not me!), enjoy cheering your favorite teams on!

Default Prayers of a Passenger

I just read this devotional and it brought a smile to my face so I wanted to share it with all of you .

Prayers of a Passenger

Yet give attention to your servant's prayer and his plea for mercy, O Lord my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence. 2 Chronicles 6:19

A lot of folks say they pray most fervently when they're riding with a bad driver! That reminds me of a story I heard about two little old ladies hwo wee out for a drive in a large car. They were both so short their heads were barely visible above the dashboard.

As they were crusing along, they came to a red light, but they just went right on through it. Soon they approached another intersection, and the light there was also red, but the car didn't stop. After the car rolled through a third red light, the old woman in the passenger's seat shrieked to high heaven: 'Mildred! Did you know you just ran through three red lights? You could have killed us!'

'Oh, my stars!' Mildred exclaimed. 'Am I driving?'

We all have times of stress and terror in our lves that send us shrieking to God for comfort and mercy. That's when we need to emember who is 'drivng' in our life. Thank heaven it's not Mildred!

Prayer: Lord, help me be constantly aware of your expert and faithful presence at the wheel of my life. I know you will guide me in the ways that lead not to fear but to heaven. Amen.

- Barbara Johnson

Is there someone you think deserves justice rather than mercy?
Are you willing to forgive them and ask God to show them merc?

Thumbs up Superbowl Sunday

HAPPY SUPERBOWL SUNDAY LADIES

Like most of you really care

Our week-end menu (not sure yet for today): Friday night Angie and I went to the Irish Pub restaraunt in town. She had pastrami on sourdough (she doesn't like rye bread, I had salmon and veggies and of course a beer! Angie had to play bells last night at church, so we went out again after service. We went to a mexican retaurant we like, Angie had tortilla soup and I had carnitas ~ very good and PLENTY, I even brought home some for today's lunch and let me tell you ~ I NEVER bring anything home.

CHRISTINA~ WOW! When the LORD blesses HE REALLY BLESSES! Congratulations dear! Now, IF ONLY my kids were telling me I am going to be a grandpa ...of course marraige first would be nice ...but to be honest I am not that picky! I am running out of time ...just kiddin'.
Sending up tons of prayers for a healthy baby for you and you husband. I was born a twin, but my brother and I were both very premature, he lived on this earth for just a day. You take it easy girl!

CAROL~ What is the Lydia Mae connection? I hope you had a great time today at your dinner for the disability ministry. I haven't been to Bloomington for about 11 years but I did think they had a lot of shopping there at that time ~ must be for all the State Farm folks, one of my grandma's worked there for years, the other at GE.

HIGHERFAITH~

KIRSTEN~ Good job on the WW, don't be too bummed, your day will come! Good to see you liking the bowflex. I enjoy cooking when I have time, I don't do anything difficult!

WILMA~Don't get too upset over remarks, it isn't easy being the boss! It is very hard not to take it personally though, I have been owner, suoperintendent, foreman, worker etc over the years and I have found out that almost EVERYONE has something nasty to say at one time or another ~ except me that is Heck, I am probably the worst! Prayers cvontinuing for the boy in his job search!

AUNT SUE~ So sad about Maryanne and her sister. At least she had you in her final days looking after her. Good to hear you and the nephew liked the movie. I have read a little bit about the Pointed End of the Spear story, very interesting, looking forward to seeing that too. Was your week-end at home? Go ahead and spoil Kaylee ...it's YOUR JOB to!

MARILYN~Well did you watch Ghost Whisperer this week? we had to tape it since we went out, we watched it last night after church. I liked it. I watched it a little different this time though from a religious point. I can see how people that aren't believers could believe it to be real, everything turns out so nice in the end. It could give people the thought that they will always have a second chance to DO THE RIGHT THING, which we know is not always true. I will pray for those to learn the truth. have you been able to walk at the rec lately?

I have been walking at least 2 miles almost every day with the dogs, trying to get in shape for the 5K in April. Angie and I went out this morning with them.

Angie and I are heading out to Petsmart to SPOIL my mutts! then she is off to do consrtuctive things while I waste the day away with football ~LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!

Pulling for the STEELERS today! but not gonna lose any sleep if they lose!

Enjoy your day LADIES! ~ Gary

Default Just a quick note here

CRK Congrats on being pregnant - hopefully it was not a 'surprise' as you are off to 'school' bu it is a wonderful thing - I just love babies - mine grew up far to fast.

Gary: Was not able to watch Ghost Whisper unfortunately. I have been watching the 'Dancing with the Stars' and was planning on watching the early show Friday when they say who has been eliminated but missed it so had to watch it at 9 pm - when Ghost Whisper was on. But maybe next week. Dancing with the Stars is just about over - think they might have 5 more times - interesting show. Then on Monday is it Figure Skating with the Stars - both really interesting I think.

Anyway for those who I missed - will catch up with you a bit later - but need to go make lunch for Priscilla and pick up a few things around the house and then get the roast in the oven for supper - so will catch you all later

Default Ghost Whisperer

MARILYN~

I was reading my USA Today (from thursday) this morning and ran across an article on Ghost Whisperer in the Life section. Here is a quote from Jennifer Love Hewitt ~ after she sat with medium James Van Praagh, who is a producer on the show, she believes she made contact with a friend who died when she was 12 ~ "Whether you believe or not, the smile this "magic" puts on your face is worth everything in the world," says Hewitt of her character's abilities. People worry that when they die it's over and you don't get a say in it. We try to say in our show that maybe you go on to something new."

Humm ~~ something tells me she has the right idea but taking the WRONG road!

Hi Everyone,

I see so many prayer requests here today. I will be praying for all of you. Sounds like a few miracles along the way also! PTL. It is so nice and refreshing to hear how God is moving in everyones life. How wonderful He is!

I had a rough superbowl thingy last night. To much food under my nose. I ate a few things I probably should not have had, and then I ate fruit salad and drank 3 diet cokes to keep out of the food. I wish I had been stronger, but wasn't. Today is a new day however, so I'm fresh and ready to go on.

I need your prayers friends, remember me today. I struggle so with this weight loss, but I will press on. You all do the same.

God's Blessings to all, Carol

Hi Again,

Hubby is outside and I am struggling today to keep from eating the wrong thing. I just have this ferce appetite today. I was off program yesterday and I am finding it hard to get back on today. I get really frustrated and want to eat even more. Maybe good old winter time has me by the hand and dragging me back to the refrigerator LOL. No, I don't think so. It's just my lack of discipline right now. I think we all struggle with it now and then. Keep me in prayer please. I will be fine later on. Just needed to vent, thanks for listening.

God's Blessings for all of you!

Thanks for your prayers everyone. I'm asking for a few more today...

I had some symptoms this morning which could (possibly) indicate the beginning of miscarriage. I called the doctor immediately and they drew blood to measure my hormone leves and will again on Wednesday. Hopefully I'll see good high numbers and my levels doubling between today and Wed, which will indicate a healthy pregnancy. Otherwise, it looks like I'm on to miscarriage #2

So please keep me, DH, and baby in your prayers. I will let you all know as soon as I receive more news.

Hi all,

crk05.....I will keep you in my prayers. Hopefully you will get a good report. It will be ok, just try and let yourself relax. Don't over do on the working or cleaning that sort of thing. Resting with your feet up is probably a good idea.

God's Blessings......Carol
