Hi there!
Sorry! I been gone again for about a week, again. I tried to post last weekend but the site was down, having changes and then I didn't get a chance to get back. But your always in my prayers.
Christina- I am so sorry, I didn't know as I have been away. But like the others have said, leaning on the Lord is the answer, and though we don't understand it there is an explanation, May He bless you with a peaceful calm and spiritual strength as you heal. Sprout- Thanks ! for all the devotions, and thoughts. One of them dealt with thinking about what we find ourselves doing and pray about obeying. Mine would be controlling that evil slice of muscle between my teeth. It is so easy to delve into conversation about others, which nothing good can come of, I have prayed for control there for long time. But will find myself doing it again, with co-workers ect. Carol- You asked why your tracker disappeared by your signature. If you post more than olnce on a page the tracker is left off. It will show only once a whole page. Prayers for strength, in making right choices. It is hard, boredom can be the biggest enemy! I am afraid of loosing this post so will continue on new one. |
Hi again!
E.Z.- My weekend at home was great! I even got to spend Monday-Wed. of this week home. My mom had a heart cath on Monday. She is a diabetic. She passed out on floor in beginning of January. She had a nuclear stress test, and they found a shadow on her heart. so they did the heart cath to check it out, and rule out any problems. Praise the Lord she shows no problems no signs of heart disease and her valves and all appear fine. So no more concern. They have adjusted her blood pressure meds, as feel she dropped to low and passed out. But I had to have blower unit replaced on my car, started smoking after leaving hospital, scared me thought dash was on fire- smelled of burning wires. ect. $165. later that is repaired, I did get lunch with old girlfriend while car repaired, then had trustee meeting Tues. night and prayer meeting/youth group Wed. night. So no where near my computer till Thurs. but bowled, then went to work. So had to wait till today.Kaylee baby is spoiled. She will not sit now so hard to keep her content at church, sister takes her to the parsonage or nursery as she refuses to go with people she doesn't know. But with time will adjust I am sure. I leave to go home for weekend when I finish posting, now. I will fix picture and get it in mail to you first though been procrastinating, don't like when I do that.
Bren- sorry about computer problems- been there! :welcome2: :welcome3: :welcome: Mindy, Mavnan, veronica- post often ! Keeping the faith- prayers for DS seeing family is always nice, so glad I live close to mine. Wilma- prayers for EKG, and BP you won the battle, you've done so well, I have faith you'll finish the war. Hilary- sorry to hear about the recent changes affecting your life, it is hard to put our faith and trust in others, and need to do that to love, but there is one that will never leave or forsake us and He is always there. Glad to hear you are feeling better, but still in my prayers sometimes emotional healing is as hard as physical. I am off to see my family who are the light of my life, they are always there for me. Gotta run! prayers and love! Sue |
Hi everyone
Sorry I haven't posted more lately I have been dealing with a lot of things this week. I live in south Florida so I was affected by the hurricanes last year. We lost our screen enclosure, awning and a few other minor things. We have decided not to put back the screen so now I have been looking for someone to put up a fence as I have a pool and this is nessescary. The youth group from our former church is coming in March from Canada and I need to make sure that they are safe when they are here. On top of that my husband and I have made the decision that we are going to sell our house. My son has moved back to Canada to go to school and my daughter was just been accepted at university in Canada so we no longer need a 5 bedroom house. I have spent most of this week looking at mls listings and trying to pick some to go and look at this weekend. I forgot how much time and energy it takes to look for a new house pluse get this one ready for sale. I could do with prayer that we actually find the right house quickly and that ours sells in the same amount of time. I do not do well not being in control of things and with all this I tend to stress out and look for food for comfort. I know that this is the wrong way of doing things but it is hard to break a long standing habit.
I will be away most of next week house hunting so if I don't post then know that I am praying for all of you. |
Thanks for the Welcome
:thanks: Thanks to all of you for making me feel so welcome! I can't tell you how encouraging it already is just by "watching" you cheer one-another on :cheer:
Two of my three sons have had the flu so I've been in the house for the last 10 days, and this morning I woke up to find that I might have Pink Eye (pink IS my favorite color, but I don't want my eye that color - and it hurts!) :yikes: I just don't have time for this... tomorrow I have a work day with oldest son for mission trip we're going on in March (Kids on Mission); then I have a baby shower right after that :bb: ... oh yeah, and tomorrow is also my 41st birthday :hat: Then Sunday of course is church which I missed last week 'cause of youngest being sick, and since I teach 4 & 5 yr. olds I can't get them sick and I have nursery care after that for babies so I'll miss worship :( but, then my best girlfriend and I are supposed to have a day out at Disney World :carrot: (my FAVORITE place on earth!) :cloud9: :dizzy: So there you have it, please God, don't let me get sick, I don't have the time! (well, it's YOUR time, but I could really put it to so much better use than being sick!!!) Amen. Thank you all for letting me vent, I've gotta go check on the little monsters, um, I mean angels! Have a great weekend. You are ALL in my prayers! Blessings, |

Not much going on here ~ nephew Ron in detention....AGAIN! other than that all the kids doing well. Angie and I will probably go out to dinner somewhere tonight if she feels like it. She made a new chicken dish last night but I can't share with you as I don't know how she did it. The day before I just made pasta with leftover meatballs, that I froze, salad and bread. CHRISTINA~I hope today finds you a little bit better! Thanks for the return on the PM. WILMA~Prayers for that BP! We just kind of sail through until something like this happens to "SHAKE" us up a bit. I am worried about mine, it has always been fine...however, the last 2 times I gave blood they said it was a little elevated, I have to schedule my yearly physical soon anyway. Take care dear...by next month 5 miles will be a piece of cake!;) AUNT SUE~ Prayers for your mom! Good to get to go hoime this week-end. How is that bowling avg. this week? Can't wait to see pics, but don't worry too much...when you get a good one and time to send it that will be fine! I know she is a cutie...don't have to have pics to prove it!! After all, she looks just like her Aunt Sue right?;) We have a cry room at church where the little ones can play and parents can see the altar and pastor and hear everything...we also have a nursery where parents can drop off the kiddos that are "fine" with it. I can understand her not wanting to be away from mommie! Sorry about the car ~AGAIN!~! HILARY~ Prayers for you dear! I know how hard it is to love someone that doesn't love you back! After 14 years of being with my first wife I heard those words ~~ almost killed me! But our Lord is faithful as He says! I have been so happy to be married to Angie for the last 10 years! My ex was over here last night too...one time I was in so much pain...now my ex is a friend...time will heal the pain! Besides that ~~ HE MUST BE AN IDIOT!! and you don't want that now do ya?;) All i can say dear is to take it ONE DAY AT A TIME! ~~that is all you can do anyway! It will get better! I promise! MARILYN~ I pray that the right things happen for you and your husband in your efforts to prepare for your retirement! Great job on the computer for your special little gal! What an awesome mom you are!! Now, if the son could only see that....he will, some day! Have to run.....back later, Gary HELLO TO EVERYONE! |

I've been awake for a while this morning stewing on Proverbs 31. I'm either perimenipausal or God is trying to tell me something :)
When I first became a Christian 10 or 15 years ago, I pondered on the Proverbs 31 woman alot and to be honest I haven't though about her for a long time. Now this morning, I cannot get out of my head that she could help me (us) with health, fitness and weightloss. I skimmed a few minutes ago but my coffee will soon be ready and I'm going to read it more thoroughly. What do you think about starting a thread to discuss that? Anyone interested? |
Proverbs 31
Susan I think it might be a good idea to start a thread on it - it could be good way for women to identify with what the Lord is looking for

Stop!!!!
STOP
A new thread has just been started. Please come to Christian Encouragers #212 |
Hi Everyone,
I jumped ahead to the thread 212 to leave a message there on Proverbs 31. Back now to encourage everyone to keep with it on your goals. I hope the weekend went good for all of you. If it didn't, don't be discouraged. Just forge ahead with positive thought for tomorrow. It takes courage I know, but we can all work towards our goals little by little. My weekend was pretty good, had a little difficulty eating out today with my husbands parents. Who are both 90 by the way! It is very interesting to take 2, 90 year olds out in public, when they can't hear, can't read well anymore, and argue with each other over every little detail all day long. It's funny to watch them sometimes. But we love them, and are deligently working to lead them to the Lord before their time ends. We have tried for years, but they aren't willing to make the step of faith. I just don't understand that at their age. They have to realize their time is drawing to a close here on this earth. Maybe they fear taking the step , sort of like they think if we do, then we will die. I've heard of people like that. My parents were saved, but my husbands are not. So it is very hard for him at times. Please pray for them for us. Their names are Gene & Louise. Thank-you all. God's Blessings.......Carol |
