Cool

Hellooooooo everyone! I've been super duper busy this week. I've had at least 2 classes every day, then I had to mess with my scholarship business, not to mention do homework and go to work! I'm so exhausted! I have the entire weekend off, though, yippee!

Sorry I have not been able to post to each of you individually, I haven't been on the puter much since school started back up this week.

Okay, here are some pictures of the Great Wall! I *finally* got around to uploading some onto photobucket!

I actually climbed ALL the way up there to that watchtower!

Here's me on the way back DOWN from the wall. Note how red my face is!

Look how LONG it is. It's approximately 4,000 miles long!

It was a clear, GORGEOUS day to see the Great Wall. It was breathtaking.

More pictures to come! Promise!

Oh Rachel, those pictures are awesome!! You've done one of those once-in-a-lifetime things. Well for me anyway it would be. Thank you for sharing those. You are a cutie too! I just saw a piece of the Great Wall and the pictures are deceiving because i hear it is quite steep. What else did you do there? How was the food? (It's all about the food for me :O )

Wonderful News!!!

Channon came out of surgery without a flaw!! She is actually doing better then the doctors expected! They told my brother that she would have to be in the hospital for recovery 7-10 days if things went well. Now they are saying she will be able to go home in 5 days!! They removed all of the tumor and all of the cancer!! AMEN! They also said before the surgery that when she was done she probably would not be able to eat and they would feed her from a tube for 2-3 days. Well my sister in law told me this morning she drank 5 oz of apple juice and a total of 6 oz of milk! So needless to say God has her in his hands just like Donna and Michele said. I am going up there again tonight to see her and just let her know that I am here. She is heavily sedated, but they ease it back just enough for her to eat and then they sedate her again because they want to give her brain a rest. I will let you guys know how she is doing on Monday. Thank you so much for all of your prayers, it has meant so much to me and my family.

Myisha

Myisha -- that's wonderful news! I'm so happy to hear good things about Channon, I was worried about her. Know that you're always in my prayers!

Michele -- it is QUITE deceitful! Those steps are really, REALLY steep!!

Hello to everyone!

It has been a very difficult week here. Mother was ambulanced into hospital with heart failure early Monday morning. She is a real hospital phobic and finds being in hospital very distressing and gets very disorientated. The medics stopped some of her tablets and changed others and she was discharged on Wednesday after promising she would go back for all the tests they wanted to do. She alreasdy has an apoointment for an echocardiogram in about a fortnight's time and yes, Thank The Lord, she is sounding a whole lot improved after sleeping in her own bed and being in her own surroundings.

Holly, my Westie, has been ill as well this week. She has been being sick every morning and going out first thing in the morning to eat grass with the sole intention of making her self sick..so she has had 2 visits to the vet...2 antibiotic injections and come away with a packet of oral antibiotics for the next 3 days. HER second visit to the vet was a lot better than the first..she was not tender with the abdominal palpation and she was alot more like her normal fidgetty self..trying to either leap off the table or scramble up my arm to get out of the way! So I think she is on the mend too. I do hope so!

Its only 2 weeks and 3 days till I go to Scotland on holiday.. Coo I do hope the weather improves greatly before then. Its been very cold and grey here today and I even resorted to turning the central heating on for a couple of hours! Now of course at the end of the afternoon the sun has decided to come out..too late, I say!!

Sorry not to talk to you all individually. I do hope you are all well and everyones plans are going in the correct direction. I'm not sure where my plan is at this moment!

Smile Hello Everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't been here in awhile. I am writing to you from my parents home (part of our summer vacation!). Our 3 youngest children and I made the 13 hour trip by ourselves, which is a big accomplishment for me! Since we arrived, we have been very busy preparing for my brother's wedding in 2 weeks.

We visited a nearby church this morning. My kids were begging me to let them stay home, of course I said "no". Then after church they said they want to go back for Wednesday night service.

I am so very happy to hear that Channon is doing well. I wish I had read about her sooner, but I will pray for her quick recovery.

I wish everyone well, and I will check back in soon. Take care and God bless you all!

Sue, your niece is really pretty and i love her dress and that royal purple....they all do look so regal, huh. The baby is adorable, too. How are the new parents doing with her?

I'm feeling really good this a.m. and ready to start a new week. The weather is so beautifull and i have so much i want to get done. I've started being a serious listmaker. I bought a small notebinder for my purse and i'm going to live by my lists. It seems to be helping already. I just need to keep plugging away. Got my cousins afghan done, except for a few finishing touches. I love it, i'll take a pic and post it, so you can see this pattern of my grandma's. I need to start another one for my cousin Cindy who I stayed with and her hubby, i never made them one, and they are due. Think i'm going to do it if burgundy/wine colors.

I'm starting LAWL today on plan. I'm going to write down my food and i'm going to drink all my water and i brought my lunch and some fruit, i have no excuses.

Feet are much better, i'm able to wear regular shoes now.

Went to church with John and we went to breakfast after. He is so neat, just like him so much. We had a good talk and he was very motivating and encouraging.

Had a dinner date Sat. and he was nice enough, but no sparks. Felt just kind of like, ya whatever. Wanted to get home by 7pm to watch Cops and AMW, that's how thrilled i was. He called yesterday and asked if i'd go out again, i told him i would. He asked what i'd like to do, i told him that was for him to figure out. I'm not planning dates...i'd rather stay home.

So what is your goal for this week? Let's get some conversation going here, what are you struggling with, or what are you doing successfully? I need some inspiration here...
