Hey everyone! I got back from China last night at around 9pm. I'm sooo tired and jetlagged. It was amazing. I got to walk on the Great Wall, watch pink dolphins, see panda bears, go to see the world's largest seated bronze Buddha statue, go to the beach for the 1st time, see the Hutongs, among a lot of other things. It was a great experience. I'll tell you all more later, when I'm not in zombie-sleep mode.

HI GALS

Had to work today...bummer .but then I had 3 days off last week-end. Angie took Reba and Rylee to the dog park we go to every now and then...I guess Rylee was being pushed around by another dog...usually Reba will "boss" everyone but I guess she was off playing with another dog and didn't see Rylee being taken advantage of. Angie left after 10 minutes because Rylee had had enough. I tell you...some people...just don't know when to take their pets and go home... ...my dogs don't bother anyone ...mine are everybody's favorites

Amanda called and said her flight has been delayed...should be in California around 9 tonight.

Ryan's girls didn't do as well as they hoped yesterday...one gal was second in the state last year in the triple jump...yesterday she was off the qualifying by almost a foot..HUGE..in track...oh well, maybe they did better today...the boy hasn't called yet...he ALWAYS calls when something really good happens at the meets...we shall see.

Lara got a trophy last night for "best up and coming crew" for her behind the scenes in their Dr. Dolittle play.

Ron had great progress reports again this week---see dr. in a couple of weeks for evaluation on his medication.

RACHEL Welcome home girl!! So glad you had a great time. Looks like you saw TONS of history.

JEN Prayers for a GOOD result on your test...I'm getting a good feeling here for you Remember...WE are ALWAYS here for prayers!! Love your siggy too.

TEEL LOVE~LOVE your signature! Does Graphic Goddess have us pegged or what!..it is so good to hear from you. Are yopu anywhere near the "PIANO MAN" guy?...interesting story.Tell your builder to get moving!...we want you back! Holiday with Linus? did it come yet? I forget things ya know

LORI Welcome! I lost my father about 17 years ago--he was only 54...I still have my mom....PRAYERS for your son and your entire family.

Well, Angie has turkey bacon, avocado, burgers ready for dinner...outta here!

You guys...something terrible has happened. I forgot to mention it. I don't know HOW, but I did. I lost my scholarship to college. I just found out Friday and classes start Monday and I have no way to pay for them.

Well, I though the requirement was I had to take a minimum of 6 credits a quarter. Last quarter, I took on 12. The math class was hard to get to, I kept falling asleep or I couldn't make it because I had no gas money. So I was afraid I was going to fail it, so instead of risking my scholarship because of a failed grade (the IRONY!) I withdrew from the class. I got a "C" in Biology, so I'm good there. The classes were both six credits each, but the problem is I guess I had to pass 66% of the credits I signed up for. And since I passed 6 out of 12 (technically a withdraw coutns as FAILING I didn't know that!) that's only 50%. So now I lost my scholarship, and no way to go to school! And my parents don't know. I don't know how I would tell them. I'm so scared.

I can appeal, but that would take days and the classes start on MONDAY!!! Please, pray for me, I am so scared and depressed and I have no one to talk to about it. I feel like I am going to throw up every second of the day. This stinks.

Help me.

Default Good Morning!

It's a dreary Sunday morning and I'm skipping church. I have a bad head cold and am coughing a lot so I thought it better to stay home. I think this is from stress and lack of sleep from the week before. I am on the mend so hopefully will be feeling better soon.

I maintained my weight this week. I'm pleased about that because while I was spending much time in the hospital I didn't eat properly. I am now back on track and hope to show a loss next week.

Rachel: It's great to see you back from China and that you had a wonderful time. I'm sorry, though, to hear about your scholarship. I'm praying that the Lord will supply what you need.

Gary: Nice to see you're keeping busy and out of trouble. You also have evey right to be proud of your kids. They seem to be great people and will contribute greatly to society. Mine are both working and hopefully will have their futures lined up for them soon too. Wedding plans are coming along. with everyone in my family coming out for my dad's funeral we don't know how many will be able to make the distance again for the wedding. I do understand if they can't come. We'll see.

Lori: A big welcome to you. You will find support here. I weighed what you do now 5 years ago and have been losing it slowly but surely. I also can relate to losing parents early. I lost my mom (42 yrs old) when I was 14 and my dad last week. I do have a great stepmom who is like a mom to me so I feel very fortunate to have her.

We're here for you!

Teel: Love your sig! It's also great to hear from you again. Post when you can find your computer. I know what it's like to have a mess for renovations. Just look to the final result. I love my kitchen!!

Sunny: So glad you're feeling better now. We miss you when you're not here. The weather has been really wet and cool here too and I don't have my bedding plants either. We did a bit of pruning and deciding what to plant where yesterday. We would like to have the yard looking nice for the wedding but with the constant rain it's hard to get out there. I plan to spend even an hour in my yard each evening and hopefull we'll have it looking good in no time.

mkay: Nice pics! You have a beautiful family. No, it's not your breath. It's mine!!

mnewton: I agree with you about teens. I worked in the school system for 10 years and there are so many troubled kids out there. A teacher has so much responsiblity and opportunity to make a difference. I really admire teachers and think they deserve much more than they recieve in return for what they do.

Well, i better get going. I feel a nap coming on. I'm still feeling weak and hope to get caught up on rest today.

have a wonderful Lord's day!

Default Monday Monday...

Hello my friends...

Welcome Lori...You will find alot of comfort and support here and we are a blast...especially EZ's pups.

EZ...Gee, and here I thought Nikki was everyone's favorite. When the neighbor gal has there lab pup out in front of the house and Nikki is out there with her dad, the neighbor gathers her pup up and puts it in the house. Nikki wouldn't hurt a flea.

Laterus...sorry about the schlorship deal. God will provide and meet you at the point of your need.

teel...What a cool siggy.

Talking Great News

The scan showed no cancer or thyroid nodules! I am so relieved! We decided to have the remaining thyroid tissue removed anyway because of the risks and my history, but not until mid-August. We will be able to enjoy our family vacation this summer! I also got wonderful news from my brother and sister-in-law. They are expecting a baby! Just when things were looking dark, God brought the light and is giving a new life to our family! God is so good! Praise the Lord!!!

Lateralus - I'll be praying for you and your situation. Hang in there!

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Well it was a very busy but fun weekend. It was wet and dreary but that didnt stop us!! Actually my kids had more fun this weekend then we did! Friday my DH and I took all three of the kids to get their physicals and to get caught up on immunizations. Oh my goodness never will I do that again! I thought it would be easier to just take them all and get it out of the way. Boy was I mistaken! So we were at the doctors office for 2 hours while everyone got looked at and taken care of. It was truly a production. So that night we just stayed home and watched movies. Saturday it was off to tap practice and then my dad took my kids, my sister's daughter and my brother's daughter to Chuck E Cheese! I dont know what he was thinking. But he told us to drop them off and pick them up about 2 hours later. So that was nice, and I took a really nice and much needed nap. Then I BBQ for my nieces because they came over to watch the kids so me and Melvin could go out for dinner and dancing. That was really nice. We had a great time! Some friends and family joined us for dancing and we had a ball. Got home around 2am and crashed. I had absolutely no energy on Sunday and had to go to my friends house after church for a surprise birthday party for one of our friends. After the party I came home and crashed again. My DH's sister came over around 4pm and took the kids to see Madagascar and didnt bring them back until 8:30pm so DH and I had some time to recoup! Very very busy weekend!

DONNA- where are you? I miss hearing from you! I am happy that you are feeling better! Try and check in more if you can. I understand keeping the hubby happy!

EZ - Oh I would love to move to sunny CA!! I so wish it was possible, but DH said we are raising our kids in the NW and then when they move out (at least 17 years from now ) then we can move somewhere sunny!! You are so right about not sweeping the kids and their problems under the rug. They need help and as adults it is our responsibilty to give it to them. You are doing such a good job with your nephew and making sure he gets what he needs and has that support group within you and your family. Keep up the great work!! Turkey bacon and avacado burgers?!!! Yes!!!!! I love avacado! I am going to make that for dinner tonight! My kids and DH are going to love me!!

LORI - Welcome!! This is a wonderful group! You will find alot of encouragement, Word and peace with this group. Make yourself comfortable and check in when you can. I am praying for you and your son!

WILMA- you are so right! I truly believe that being a teacher is a calling, not a job. They have so much responsibility with the kids and when you find the ones that are really concerned about the kids and their well being, then you have found a jewel!

RACHEL - Sounds like you had a wonderful time in China! Glad to have you back. Sorry to hear about the scholarship. **The steps of the righteous are ordered by God.** God will supply your EVERY need. Do not worry, **In all of your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your path.**

MKAY- What a beautiful family!! Your daughters are so pretty!! I bet they take after their mama huh?!!

TEEL- Love the siggy!! It is so vibrant!! A reflection of your personality I am sure!!

Well gotta go!!

Myisha

Hi all,
Jenni~PTL!!! I'm so happy for you!! God is good.

Flew back last night, the flight was full, i was uncomfortable and soooo tired, no real sleep until after i picked up Simba at 9 a.m. She is well, had a good time, wasn't mad at me. We came home and crashed and then I've had a stomach bug all day. My tummy is really bad and i'm trying not to get dehydrated..and I was severley burned on the tops of my feet and my arms when we went fishing Friday, can barely walk on my left foot, hopefully it'll be better tomorrow but think i'll have to wear sandals to work. But, I had a wonderful time!!! Will post some pics tomorrow too.

I missed you all...

Default Good Morning!

Just a short note to say "Hello". It's still dreary here. I'm becoming very sun deprived. I did manage to get into my flower beds last night and they look a lot better. I still have to buy plants to put in them but it's starting to shape up.

Eating wise things are getting better too. I've been fighting this sore throat so I've been eating veggie soup for lunch. Soon it'll be back to salads.
I need to get groceries tonight so I'll stock up on lots of good stuff.

Have a great day!
